    Rod/reel combo with fishing kit as an emergency setup ruclips.net/user/postUgkxntWMOZsO1Zfv-pdn_XuffEtNkTYAYu4Z recommend but started to use this every day. The rod is thick and seems durable. I keep it neatly tucked into a regular backpack all the time with my fishing gear, and can grab it anytime, put it on my back and go anywhere. I just read in another review that the rod length below the reel is adjustable as well, so I will try that too for even more portability. Probably the best setup I've ever owned. I lost the cap for the eyelets, but no big deal since I still have the black cloth sheath that came for the pole and I use that. Very portable and high quality.

    • @TroutHuntingNZ

    Triploids are organisms which have three sets of chromosomes, making them impossible to undergo meiosis therefore they are sterile. Here in BC Canada, triploid trout are often stocked into lakes to ensure that the stock cannot regenerate. Growth performance of triploid trout is also better than diploid trout, making these stocked lake fisheries better since anglers obviously like catching bigger fish. Good video. :)

    @michaelkissane6138 3 года назад +2

    Great video--such massive fish. You're right about the meaning of triploid, it's a genetic/chromosome configuration that effectively neuters the fish making it impossible for them to spawn. That does prevent escaped farm fish from inter-breeding with wild, but it doesn't prevent them from out-competing wild fish for food and habitat. Like you say, these tanks have just learned to take advantage of the special water flow that consistently brings them food, while no doubt chomping down tons of smaller fish. (ps might want to check your color balance on your office camera, it's a bit warm and makes you seem to have jaundice or spray tan ;-). It might be having trouble coping with a mix of fluorescent and bulb light or reflection from your desk surface.)

So basically they are able to get an abundant and steady stream of nutrition equivalent to the open ocean... while staying in the river. How can this system exist?! Especially with angling pressure!
