Wspaniała robota - dziękuję Ci pięknie za przetłumaczenie na język angielski równolegle z tekstem tej przepięknej piosenki. / Great job - thank you very much for the translation into english following the lyrics of this amazing song.
1. disappear instead of 'disapear' 2. Będzie spadać długo = She's gonna be falling down for long 3. Spokojnie, spokojnie, spokojnie stoi z nim = She is calmly, calmly, calmly standing with him 4. Umierała długo = She's been dying for long
i am english but have a polish girlfriend who has opened me up to polish music. there are some very good polish songs check out farba they are a very good band, now i can understand polish more i get a slightly different transaltion and meaning to the songs and appreciate them more than before. has taken a long time though polish is a very difficult language.
What you say is very true. The reason why there is no good music these days is because it is not in the charts. The record companies only want "music" that will make them money. I stopped listening to chart music many years ago and it cant be because I'm too old, I am only 26. There is good music out there but it is not in the charts you have to go and find it in the bars/clubs/gigs.
Just had Kasia and Aga, a pair of polish girls, come to stay with us through CouchSurfing . com , and they showed me this song... I am so glad they did! it is beautiful! I listen to it all the time now! tak niesamowite!
Hey thanks for posting a comment. I find it rather upsetting that you say there are not many good Polish songs, I hope you are wrong :) I would also much appreciate if you could let me know of some more good Polish songs.
@KiwiBitchin Glad you liked it. One of my faves and always will be. I ain't Polish but love all things Polish. Writing this from Oliwa in Gdansk :) Also, nice to let me know about couchsurfing . com I shall become a member when I get back to London. Off to Sopot in Gdansk now.
Thanks for watching and pointing out the mistakes :) I didn't correct the errors in the original transltion, I did this in a rush. Furthermore, my Polish is still very elementary.
I love the melody but the lyrics aren't that strong, not as translated at any rate. That tune has been going around in my head for years since I first heard Varius Manx way back in 1997. I never understood the lyrics but I'd just play that cassette-tape over and over for the melodies and occasional english-language track.
yeah, i thought about the whole sentence when it came to this one: ,,Zabierz jej z ręki nóż"... you don't have to add the significant word 'hand' to the English translation of the song, coz that can't be left and still understood.
@Fray789 Ahh. It might be ambiguous. I mean, I'm Polish and I understood the words(of course) but I didn't understand the meaning and now I do. It sucks, I miss times when I knew nothing.
The most riveting uplifting goosebumps, song i've heard in many a year.i can just sit down and have this on repeat :)

Don't you just hate when you begin to understand a song you've had heard lots of times before?
Hi Mike, there are hundreds of good Polish songs, it's just the matter of the music taste.
