I’m definitely inspired every time I watch the videos. This family of elephants are by far the most amazing animals I’ve ever seen. This group could teach humans a thing or two about love, loyalty, protection, respect for others and standing together at all costs in any situation. The team has instilled a tremendous trust in each one of them and they follow commands without hesitation. This herd will protect the Jabulani team as if they are one of them. My heart goes out to the entire center ❤️❤️❤️
We are very appreciative of your lovely heartfelt feedback, thank you Cathy, and yes, they do protect one another. The carers and our team have extensive knowledge of the bush and know how to read wild animals, avoid danger, and how to react when predators are close. In addition, the elephants in our herd often serve to protect the carers and will alert the carers to nearby threats like lions or hyenas; they will often chase the threat away too and help protect the human team. Similarly, the carers help protect the elephants by guiding them away from possible danger.
My heart is so full when I watch these incredible creatures, that I adore. Truly inspiring and I wish I could hug each one of them and tell them thank you. Thank you Jabulani Herd!
