The whole album is excellent! If you want some crazy shredding listen to He-Man woman hater, the very beginning has this thing he calls a flight of the wounded bumblebee and it's so good!I highly recommend you listen to the whole thing! Also, their new album is fire! There's a little bit of everything on there there's one with a reggae feel there's another one that's very industrial they have something that sounds very much like Queen, they have one that has a little bit of a nod to Van Halen
As a guitarist, myself, Nuno's fusion of funk and metal is always refreshing. He pulls it off, seemingly, with such ease, but those of us in the know...well, we know how much we hate him! And love him in the same breath!😂 I can listen to him play all day! My question is, simply, how the hell does he play like that with his guitar down to his knees?!🤔🤣
Brian May thought this one one of the greatest solos. Extreme was so underrated. I remember when Pornograffiti dropped. Saw them at a club in Baltimore called Hammerjacks. Then again Hammerjacks is where I saw many bands when they were on the rise like poison,Warrant, LA Guns, even saw Kiss ( no make-up) god I miss the 80s.
Extreme current sound is less hairmetal, and sounds more like Jane's Addiction. It also interesting that Hairmetal and Glam Rock is pretty much the same thing. This is more hard rock than metal.
Pat Badger on bass was/is a great compliment to Nuno ... a lot of Extreme songs having them both playing the same riff and his backing vocals are arguably just as solid as Nuno's.
I recall buying the album and binge-listening to it the first few weeks after I got it. I don't think I had seen the video for that song yet at that point. I liked this song a lot but TBH this album is great all the way through.
That whole album was badass. I’ll go to my grave saying More Than Words ruined them. Once that song was released, it was all over the radio and video channels. They seemed to get cubbied as a soft rock/adult contemporary band. Too many people overlooked the rest of their library. I could never get Decadence Dance loud enough. I like Gary in Van Halen, but he didn’t stand a chance up against the fans (I still say they couldn’t get past More Than Words) and Alex and Eddie. Cheers!

Nuno is ridiculous on guitar. World Class.

Gary Cherone is the natural successor to Freddie Mercury. Fight me!
How could top-right-guy know about Extreme and not realise it was Nuno Bettencourt on guitar??
Its all about Nuno here

How old was Jason in 1990? I can't imagine him being more than a kid, maybe a young teen?
