Lyrics:
The type of lyrical terrorism I present
Educates people, at the same time pays my rent
You've been hearin me now for the past twelve semesters
When the suckers stepped up, I had to use the drastic measures
I know you want to step to me kid!
But you're thinkin, "Damn, Kris is kinda big!"
Plus he rolls wit a crew that don't care
And drops a hit album, hit video, hit single every year

"People died so I can rhyme, you think I'm gonna grab the mic and waste the nation's time?" - Blastmaster KRS-One
The hardest bar in the song. Back when Hip-Hop had to be fought for. Nowadays these new age clowns take it for granted.
Fkn bars!!! The hardest to ever do it!
Never knew he got at cube in this!
Yea a lot of them NY Dudes use to get at those Kuntry Ass Ni@@as from out West, Fake ass Wangster Cube, Didnt go to school in tha hood, never lived there, parents were both educators. And their son is a horrible actor lol...

This brother was no joke ❤
"People died so I can rhyme, you think I'm gonna grab the mic and waste my nations time?" Probably one of the best lines in Hip-Hop.
Pimps and hoes
indeed!
Yep
Who knew KRS was talking about x clan. ?
Nah😂😂😂😂😂
"You've been hearin' me now for the last twelve semesters"....This is the type of shit I haven't heard in a while, attention to detail in lyricism. Why say six years, when you can twist it! This is MC' ing...KRS is the Master.
The Greatest MC Of All Time!
Nah, one of*
Yes number 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 Lol
"THE TYPE OF LYRICAL TERRORISM I PRESENT, EDUCATES PEOPLE AND AT THE SAME TIME PAYS MY RENT" For me, one of the greatest lines in Hip-Hop History. BDP and KRS shit is representing the Hip-Hop Culture at its finest.
A dig towards Ice Cube
Word!
This album was ahead of its time
THIS BEAT..... DAMN!!!!!!!
RESPECT TO KENNY PARKER AND THE BLASTMASTER!
Kenny Parker was too funky for his own good… god damn he killed it with that beat!
Sounds like a primo beat to me#!
@@metalface7283 his brother made the beat
By that I mean krs ones brother. Kenny Parker
Word, the snare drum is so ill!
I think Kenny parker is the tall dude cos he's about 6'6 since Krs one is 6'4
The only thing that i love about my age is the fact that i grew up in the golden age of hip hop.

KRS One the Blast Master..The Greatest MC
I’m just trying to figure why anybody would ever try to battle this man ever!!! KRS was and still ain’t nothing to be played with!!
Facts
Who you kid-N?..... You only tryna rocka partyyyyy!! ....You ain't really down to shoot nobody!!
One of the dopest hip hop albums 😊
The real rap king
I wish I had grown up around this time. Especially around '92. Golden age over today's mumble rap anyday!!! 👊👊👊👊👊
David Richardson Check out that year. Wu Tang came out, Snoop and Dr.Dre in the west coast. Alot of great hip hop.
@@Aleyaha699 House of Pain also came out that year.
I grew up around that time. I was in high school....wish I can go back at least for a day....feel that vibe again. It just felt different.
I was also blessed to grow up during this time. It was a wonderful feeling!
We had some good hip hop jams with some dope mixed tapes.
One of his best songs ever
My favorite KRS song, beat and tempo is spot on and the lyrics are straight fire. 92-95 best years for hip-hop.
The video alone would make you get into the record. The locations, the people in the background adding more hype to the record, and that stage show with crowd is live as fuck.
Folks slept 😴 💤 on KRS One's "Sex and Violence" album. It was 1 of his best!
Yep
@@Jason-lv4uu Thanks for supporting my comment. Jason, respect to you.
@@traceyscott909 No problem. We in there all the time 😎👍
Bronx River Big Park, I was There
This deserves more views, the instrumental is sick 💯
The concert footage alone........unique dynamic showing how big KRS's fan base was @ that time. I'm SURE he could've sold out STADIUMS worldwide then.
BDP4EVER!!! R.I.P. SCOTT LA ROCK!!!

Respect from croatia and long live krs and hole muthapphukkin bdp crew
30 years later, "We Still In There".
...if you're between 40-50 yrs. u have absolutely noooooo idea how much I wish I had lived in South Bronx during the late 70's and early 80's all the way through the whole 90's. I been using your everyday, South Bronx situations, economical unrest, and social unrest to expose my Language Arts and Social Studies students where Hip-Hop civilization grew from.
If u were there when it happened, you're already a legend.
Ice Cube had nothing to say after this.
90s hip hop is the pinnacle of musical greatness
Respect from Czech Republic ;)
Yeeees !
was lucky enough to grow up in this era , we had teachers like this in music, i feel sorry for todays youth with this bs oversaturated music market
Krs 1 is dissing Ice Cube and Das Efx in this song.
Kenny Parker laced that beat
Word is bond.
Rockin' the shades like Kool Moe Dee! Another Hip-Hop Pioneer Legend! #IAMHIPHOP!
That opening is priceless. i can never decide between this and Duck Down
My Era In My Record Collection!
"In jail you ain't got respect!" KRS ONE!!! When we realized K was really real!
1 of his most under rated track
Plz bring back da boom bap era
Cube didn't fucking want it. His career would cease
On some realest shit in the world, this jams like nothing out right now. If it came out today it catch bodies. Salutes to the Architects
He did a remix on the Arsenio hall show it was amazing 👏
Soundview my train stop!
The drums on this version is way more dope!
WTF??? I never knew there was a video for this, I stayed playing this song when Sex And Violence dropped.
The never disappointing dope flow. Still respect
Boy I wish I was alive in this era. Everyone looked like they were having a great time back then. Nowadays people don’t party like this

Seeing Afrika Bambatta say "Yeah we in there" in 2021 has a totally different view then it did in 1993.
True. KRS had a song on this album called 13 and Good, dude would be investigated for that today and rightfully so

Teach Chris teach
2020 sill slappin
Man, I wish Ice Cube had replied to this. This is definitely a response to Cube saying "Some rappers are heaven sent but self destruction don't pay the rent". I'd love to have seen Kris vs Cube even though I feel we all know KRS wins that.
Cube didn't want NO smoke with KRS. Cube only started to get his courage up to take shots at N.Y. when he got with WC and Mack 10. The crazy part is that N.Y. saved Cube's career. His first and best album Amerikkka's Most Wanted was produced by Public Enemy's producers The Bomb Squad. Cube even came to N.Y. to do his whole first album. I always looked at him sideways for taking shots at the city that saved his career.
He knew better....
N.w.a. would have not existed the way they did without boogie down productions first album criminal minded! they bit the whole shit! especially havin guns on their album cover, bdp did that shit first
Did Cube rhyme that on a track? I missed it, which track? Thanks 👊
Cube would have ripped KRS to shreads back in those days 🤣
Hip Hop 101
We in here
