    I like the shape of this tank, what are the dimensions and the glass thickness?

    Can it fit a regular 12” tank? Also, I don’t want too much flow; can flow be adjustable as to pump about 25 gph or less?

      @@tomg5405 I have it now one year and is working great,only need one for my 250 litres reef tank.i advise never dismantle to clean it because when ensemble back never work as good as before.i just leave it on vinager mix 24 hours scrubbing just a bit outside and done.

    Could you leave the waves like that long term for a salt water tank, to replicate natural waves in the wild? Or would that harm the fish?

    • @Chikiwikie
      @Chikiwikie 2 года назад

      That would be perfectly fine for Saltwater fish. They do well in wavy water.

    Would the CP-120 be overkill for a 90 gallon 48" freshwater planted tank?

    • @loki8686
      @loki8686 2 года назад

      For planter tank yeah It would be a bit much. They are powerful. You can turn it down to lowest setting and use it but with plants it might be a little too powerful

    No3po4x works wonders in saltwater tanks

      Thank you yes! Im vodka dosing (Basically the same as NoPox) My Phosphate hovers between 0.01-0.03 Nitates hover 4-8. That makes me believe the alage is caused because of available surface area rather than parameters. The algae is expected since this is a very young tank and nothing is fighting it for space. Once the coralline takes over it won't be an issue. I see it as normal with new tanks. The Vibrant contains bacteria that literally eat the algae, then are cought by the skimmer. Kinda the same way NoPox/Vodka works

      I'm also experimenting with vodka in my shrimp tanks with good results so far. The plan is the Shrimp act as the skimmer.

      Ya you won't get lower unless you run gfo. Looking good so far!

    • @ThingsByRoma
      @ThingsByRoma  5 лет назад

      I ran GFO for the first month or so. Phosphate levels were 0. Too low. I learned that lesson quick. GFO was out, carbon dosing in. I feel carbon dosing (vodka) is a much more natural way and keeps the Carbon, Phosphorus, Nitrogen ratio correct. GFO just strips out Phosphate and leaves everything else unbalanced. I'll only use GFO again if it's an emergency. It works too well.

    that tank is just so far from ok for a yellow tang even of that size. the tank can handle the load but that fish gets a decent size and likes a decent amount of room. I almost made the mistake of buy a tang for my 2ft reef a few weeks back but its just not worth it for the fish or for the owner. I wanted to just buy a young one and swap it for something else after growing it out a bit. so not bagging you as a keeper just a shame to see you hadnt done the research on the species first. I must admit I did the same on a blue streak wrasse last week, I have arranged for him to go back to the store though. I was like ok small fish they recommended it and are big reefers. but yeah bought him on impulse then refreshed my knowledge on the species when I got home and yeah wasnt the right fish to purchase for its own wellbeing sadly as gorgeous and friendly as he is. even eating flake food but annoying my clowns. so yeah definitely no bagging you out we have all made this mistake :)
