I've gotten to the point that I chase dupe/clone/middle easterns pretty much exclusively. Doesn't matter how much money I make, the thrill of finding something that is not only comparable, but often performs better than the original is worth more than the prestige of owning the name brand stuff... Especially since no one will be able to tell the difference unless they see the bottle. They will only know I smell great.
Couldn't agree more. 3 clones I would definitely recommend is amber oud ruby - a mind blowing br540 clone, l'aventure knight - a better performing GIT clone and I bought a friend CDNIM parfum. I have to agree, might go exclusively middle Eastern clone going forward. Although, just smelled how good stronger than you intensely so may still buy a few designers. Always worried they get reformulated though
Couldn't agree with you more, for the past 2 years I have increased my collection with the middle eastern brands that of Armaf, Afnan, Al Haramain, Ard Al Zafaaran, Rasasi and Lattafa. After getting into these brands, its hard to look at designers which are doubled or triple the price and offers less in performance and projection . The only niche I look at is Montale and Mancera as performance and value for money is big for me.

Just got The Tux and it completely blew me away. Shocking how a dupe house can making something smell so luxurious. Spot on comparison to YSL Tuxedo and performs way better.
I love my clones and sometimes end up getting the real deal if I love the DNA and want the higher quality experience. That way you can savour the real thing for special occasions and enjoy the DNA daily or more frequently guilt free. Truth is most people can't distinguish between Roja Haute Luxe and a designer like Dior and so this hobby is largely for one's self. Thanks for the excellent coverage of all the options 👍
Fragrance collecting is freakin' bonkers. I've been doing it at a fairly conservative level..maybe..since around 2012 so about ten years or so, high-end niche, luxury, hard-to-find vintages, designers, and now just recently exceptional clones. If exceptional clones existed when I first started this I wouldn't have accrued nearly to the fifty grand that have on this. Yes, I have to agree that clones these days are highly exceptional with the packaging, presentations, and the quality of ingredients used, and last but not least the price$, is just unbeatable. When I discovered clones, I went with ALT & Dossier then I discovered the middle eastern brands and there’s NO COMPETITION!! The middle eastern brands tend to outperform those houses and you get more juice , a real presentation at a fraction of even Dossier and ALT prices.
It wasn't included on this list but Maison Alhambra's Woody oud is a must have clone. Its a clone on Tom Fords Oud Wood. Probably the favorite of my collection for below 30 dollars for an 80 mil bottle.
I just got Afnan's Turathi Blue in today and smelled it and it's good but not quite the same as Tygar. It's more of a twist between Tygar and BdC EDT but it does smell great. I have to try it on skin to be sure but I don't regret the purchase. Will definitely give it a lot of wear during the spring and summer. I'm going to test it out as my scent of the night and see how it goes.
@@shajiwahab So far so good. Sprayed 3 hours ago and it's still projecting pretty strongly. Great sillage when you can it wafting in the air. Very close to Tygar, maybe 90%. It's missing a bit of airiness and metallic vibe from the abroxan in Tygar but it smells very, very close.

I got Killer Oud Cabana on a complete blind buy and it really nails Beach Hut Man. I think Beach Hut Man gets a bad rap because people are expecting something aquatic and not what it actually is, which is a woody scent reminiscent of an actual beach hut. Cabana is really nice though, looking forward to wearing it in Spring.

The clones are taking over now. Earlier they reminded of the original, now they are sometimes better. Competition gets tough. My favourite from niche clones are Lattafa Khamrah & Emir You’re drugged. And yes charuto Tobacco Vanille, that started it all for me.
Where did you find the Tux for that price and how long ago was it? I haven't found a price anywhere close to that. I definitely want to try it out. I love Moustache, definitely one of my favorites and I will not be getting YSL's Tuxedo anytime soon.

he has hundreds of bottles. Even a bad performing full bottle could be used for like 2-3 months, and that is an oversprayed bad performing one. I don't think he will ever use those scents up.

About the Tres Nuit… Ok, everyone experiences fragrances differently, but when I smelled TN a couple years ago I was profoundly underwhelmed. Needed GIT but with performance and ended up satisfied with L’Aventure Knight. Has Armaf reformulated TN and made it better, or are you and I just really getting something different when we smell it?
I was wondering why almost every niche fragrance is soo much more expensive in USA compared to europe. Baccarat rouge 540 325 dollars vs. 225 euro retail price. I usually buy fragrances pre owned and can get get like 60ml for 140 euro.
@@gionsina7373 I find that interesting since, Dubai is like a popular vacation spot for Europeans or at least the British i hear on football podcasts mention it a lot where as it's not the most popular destination among Americans. Probably because, one it's far, and Europe and Asia are close. But I'd also guess for Americans visiting Europe is high on the list, where as for Europeans they've already been to most Countries in Europe so they are looking elsewhere for vacation spots.
I just bought Layton and I'm super pissed off!! I swear to God Detour Noir is the same if not better. I have had bad experiences with other clones but this one Detour Noir performance is better for me and they smell almost identical ....
I can’t speak for the others from Paris Corner but Cedrat Essence is literally the worst performing bottle I have in my entire collection. We’re not talking like a 4 or even 2 hour performer. More like 45 minutes until it’s totally gone. I doused myself before getting into bed the other night and it was almost undetectable before I fell asleep. I had to put my nose directly to skin to even faintly pick up anything.

Al Haramain's Detour Noir is bonkers good man. It's the closest I've ever smelled to Layton. One hell of a fragrance.
You should try Amber Oud Exclusif Bleu. It's almost 1:1 to Layton and I have the Layton as a colllector. Been using the amber oud as my daily

I can’t speak for the others from Paris Corner but Cedrat Essence is literally the worst performing bottle I have in my entire collection. We’re not talking like a 4 or even 2 hour performer. More like 45 minutes until it’s totally gone. I doused myself before getting into bed the other night and it was almost undetectable before I fell asleep. I had to put my nose directly to skin to even faintly pick up anything.
Its actually hard to sell a Khamrah in Europe for more than 40, 50€
