What a great tribute to the legend Freddie Mercury. I have no doubt he was smiling listening to this. Patti is truly one of the most underrated singers ever. The fake wannabe autotune scabs of today could take some lessons from her.
Queen with Patti Russo was the path to the future. She stepped into Freddie's shadow and filled his shoes better than any other vocalist they played with.
WOWOWOWOW!!! I'm also a HUGE Meat Loaf fan & saw him/Patti twice in concert. The first was the Storytellers Concert that audience participation. I was so excited when I was chosen to do the opening dialogue of "You Took the Words Right Out of my Mouth" with Meat. When I wasn't sure of a couple of the words I instinctively looked over at Patti who was sitting nearby on a high stool and she mouthed the words to me. REALLY wish she'd done the Queen Tribute instead of Annie Lennox. Patti has a stronger voice and, especially having been with Meat for so long, is very theatrical...plus she can do the "Be da bums." :)
Patti is, with George Michael, the best to """""replace"""" Freddie... My ears' opinion, OBVIOUSLY no one can replace him. And in end 2014, we're still under pressure, more than ever.
Well, considering Roger is singing the Bowie part, I would hope that he had nothing on Freddy. However, he sings with a fantastic respect for this song and its message. He sings it in Bowie's key and its not bad at all.

I came here for Patti Russo
Patti Russo should be the new singer of Queen. She is amazing!!!!
Amazing? Shes absolutely nothing special at all.
I was JUST THINKING THAT

Glad I did
Thank you, I was really lokig forward to seeing this. Patti rocks!!
I'll never work out why they chose Adam Lambert. Image maybe.
Patti has a great trumpet voice that could suit many Queen songs.
Paradise by the Dashboard Lights!!
"...glowing like the metal on the edge of a knife."
Check out Under Pressure with Bowie & Gail Ann Dorsey. She sings and plays the bass track.
your welcome. glad you like it.

Tom Adams
Thanks for repeating what I already said... ;)
And it's Freddie, not Eddie.
Wish she could have done it with David Bowie rip

That looks like Eric Singer on drums.
There is no more Queen.

@earfun69 yes spike edney on keyboards
what dvd is this???
think she might have beeb channeling freddie???
I know another great cover of this song live, where david bowie sang it with annie lennox:) dont know if youtuve have that version thou...
ok... Dumb question... I LOVe Patti but who is the male singer?
Chester Roberts late response I know lol.
That's Roger Taylor, the drummer for Queen and the brains behind Radio GaGa, A Kind Of Magic and One Vision.
He got nothing on the legendary Freddy Mercury. Patti would sound better doing this alone.
If you knew anything about this song you'd delete your post... David Bowie originally sang that part (not Freddie).
Gotta say if Roger had anything on Freddie Queen would’ve been unstoppable. Roger does the song very well remember he’s the drummer not the singer.
Not that good. They don't compliment each other.
what dvd is this???
