Now this is simply the greatest version I’ve heard. And I thought Rhino played this really well. First time I’ve heard the original lineup play it live. Sensational. 🙏 thank you 🙏🙏
Quo at its prime and very best. The Frantic Four. No rock band comes even close. Sad Mr Rossi sold out his soul and went for personal glory and removed Alan and John from the band. The Quo you see perform today is just a sad memory of the greatest and best selling UK rock band ever.
Hilariously, this isn't the FF. Just goes to show what the placebo effect does for you. That's all the FF vs modern line-up is really: nostalgia and placebo. I was born too late to have an FF bias so I can listen to both old and new and hear how much tighter the Bown, Rhino and Rich/Letley line-ups were. I don't think I like Francis as a person based on everything I've seen and heard of him but when he said that he didn't see what all the fuss was about regarding the FF reunions, he was totally right. Nobody outside of the UK even cares about the FF/modern distinction, which is why there was no demand for FF tours in the rest of the world. All of my favourite Quo performances, like this one, are from the '90s because they played everything heavy and ridiculously over-tempo (ironically the complete opposite of their studio albums of the time). Edit: though even I've gotta say that the current line-up without Rick is just not SQ. The band died with Rick for me.
@@e-knockpower7808 Born in 65 so yeah I know this is not the Frantic Four. Just saying nothing comes close. Did you actually see them play? Dont think so. So cant take your comment seriously. Tighter ? Lol Pff well that says it all to me. Bye bye
Difficult to place a date on this as Rossi is still generally playing the correct guitar parts (unlike of recent years when he fiddles around to fill space) but the guitar sound is very prominent and excellent quality. Mid 90's?
This recording maybe slightly speed up, but I agree with what you're saying they did start to play the songs quicker than they should be and it spoils the song.
What can I say.... Quo have been the sound track of my life... keep on rollin'.
Pure and utter magic from the best boogie rock band to grace our planet 👍
Primal rhythms. They touched the core when I was 16. Now re touching it again 4 decades later. Phenomenal band.
This demonstrates why many say he played rhythm guitar like no one else could. The power and accuracy is off the scale.
This is by far the best live version of this fantastic number...
Now this is simply the greatest version I’ve heard. And I thought Rhino played this really well. First time I’ve heard the original lineup play it live. Sensational. 🙏 thank you 🙏🙏
Fabulous. Rick & Malcolm Young the 2 best rhythm guitarists ever. Imagine them playing together.
Consider adding a third to that club -- Rose Tattoo's Mick Cocks.
Wilko...???
Tu as tout compris ! You understood it all !
@998cooper I’d say if you add a third to that list Pete Townshend would be the perfect person to complete the trifecta.
Parfitt chugging the whole way through! Awesome
CLASSIC QUO. THE BEST BOOGIE BAND ON PLANET EARTH. The 70's...oh Yeah!
YEAH IVE RETIRED!!!......so I ain't gonn'a work NO MORE!!............never again will I have to feel down....👍🏻😂
Die hard 70s QUO fan, and reading this is from the 90s , I got too admit this sounded mint .

RIP Rick Parfitt
RIP Rick !!!
Excellent version - sounds so close to the original frantic four...but I think it must be a later incarnation coz Rossi's sound is too 'modern'...
What a sound 😍 Parfitt absolutely smashing it!

as solid as ever, they are a loose / tight rock and roll band, just good time rock...
They both mellowed, try listening to the Perfect Remedy album, if you can!
Quo fan for many years , never heard this version before , sounds like a frieght train goin' full bore down the line ✊
Great version of a great tune by a great band! Thanks for posting!

Every wife say that, nah?
A their best...doing what they do best.
this is slightly sped up, you can tell by Frames voice.
Don't forget Jeff Rich was playing drums here..... He was fast, and did not hold back.
Interesting, as it's the guitar intro that sets the pace for this performance.
Can you give us the name of the old CD please ?

Area when ALL the Songs were played too fast...what a shame!!!!!

TOO FAST
Awful version, compared to original. On here anyway. Guitars too strong, vocals too weak. Response to video only.
