Yeah, she said that becca was burned by her own people. At that time she didn't know much or didnt exactly see the complete memories of becca as she was still a child but a commander can access other commanders memories like how shiedheda did.. i think he was the one who truly understood the AI and was able to manipulate it and made ppl think he was a king . Other commanders realized that it was an AI in their head only after they died and their consciousness was stored in it

Maybe not sad, but impressive. They took characters that we knew nothing about (except maybe 2) and crafted an incredible story based off of breadcrumbs seeded throughout the past seasons. It's not easy to make people immediately care about new characters and the writers had 1 episode to do it and they did it well. This was probably my fave (or one of my favourite) episodes of The 100 because you fully get to appreciate everything wrapping up nicely into one cohesive story. The rest of the season leaves much to be desired but I wonder if the writers for this were a different bunch or had a different person leading the team because it was extra good.

    • We saw Becca burning in a Madi's dream/memory in S5.
    • Jason Rothenberg said there were something like 25-30 commanders. Titus stated that he served 3 of them before Lexa and Sheidheda was a commander when Indra was a child so he wasn't right before Lexa. He just knows her because they communicate in the flame, like he did with Madi in S6 after he killed all the other commander minds.

So many questions answered/plot holes resolved with this episode. Can't wait for this prequel about the original Grounders to come out, but honestly this show could have a several prequels; the 97 years on The Ark, Mountain Men during the apocalypse, City Of Light/A.L.I.E. before Jaha, Eligius 3 Prisoners on the asteroid, the 200 years of the Primes leading Sanctum, and the 1,000 years the humans spent on Bardo adapting to alien technology.

Most grounders DO know English even before sky crew came down to the ground. Plus Trig (Grounder language) is based off of English and Latin just heavily modified. It is also SUPER cool to see how Trikru was formed even the symbol on August’s arm is their clan symbol. Plus if you haven’t noticed all the people that came out of the bunker were only Trikru that probably why the language is called Trig, but as people started disagreeing they broke off.

hahah I agree! The 100 often send the message of "what we do to survive doesn't define us" and I personally disagree. I think that sometimes some honor and piece is a lot more important than having a longer life. The human race is always surviving the disaster no matter what in the show and in the middle of it they creat a terrible situation for some other people which makes a constant fight for all of them

The prequel hasn't been confirmed. This was the backdoor pilot (and a fucking amazing one at that) but it's yet to be picked up. I don't think it's going to happen for a few reasons. One, the pandemic has fucked everything and now networks are having to priotise what shows they finance, and for the CW, the Arrowverse is the priority. Two, the fan reception to the final season has been mostly negative, with fans pissed off at showrunner Jason Rothenberg for a lot of his creative choices, and this could influence whether the network chooses to proceed with the prequel. Lastly, the CW also has an Arrow sequel/spinoff series in development, which also had a backdoor pilot during Arrow's final season but it too has yet to be picked up. Its really going to come down to one of them, and as I mentioned, the Arrowverse is the priority. However, I don't think that's going to happen either given that it aired in January and we've still not heard anything. If I had to choose, I'd choose The 100 prequel every single time.

    • @MFBloosh
      @MFBloosh 3 года назад +5

The 100 has a huge fan base nonetheless. Even if half of them are toxic tweens lol. So I could see another network or streaming service picking up the spin off just based off of the original shows popularity. Take The Expanse for example. A show that's similar to The 100 in a lot of ways, with a great fan base, was saved by an outside service after it was cancelled. If the spin off is cancelled or dropped, I could definitely see it getting picking it up by someone other than the CW.

My favourite part of the show always was to see how different group of people adapted to survive after radiation made earth inhabitable so I'm really looking forward to the prequel.
But I would like to see what happens after the end of this episode until the beginning of the 100. Because if they only focus on the same characters then it will only be about the early years of the Apocalypse, maybe 10 to 15 years and we won't get the full picture of how these groups developed over time. I would like the show to be more of an anthology series, every season would be about different characters and different time.

I don't think there was any complex selection process or anything honestly. I think it was simply a matter of there being a cult, members joined the cult and perhaps (like many existing cults) people had to perform acts/duties/rituals/favors in order to rise up in the ranks of the cult. In this case you had level 1 cult members all the way up to level 12 members. And it seems like one aspect of the cult was prepping for doomsday and these people knew to go to their level's respective bunker once they got the message that doomsday was here and to enter the bunker, you showed the medallion that symbolized which level you are. Maybe when you join the cult you have to earn your level 1 medallion and status and you simply trade up once you get promoted. So guitar guy (or maybe his family who he was seen with) earned level 12 status and his girlfriend didn't. He maybe consented to coming to the bunker and probably thought he could sneak in his girlfriend who didn't make the cut and, it being a cult, they forced him to play by their rules and stay in the bunker even as he tried to leave. Or maybe he didn't want to leave and was just trying to pull his girlfriend inside before the hatch was shut. But yeah I don't think this was random at all. I think most of Second Dawn's resources went into providing for the level 12's (as priority) with less for the other bunkers and that's why the other bunker didn't help those lower level cult members when they tried to hide out there when Jaha found them dead. I don't know if the bunker wasn't fortified well enough or if they didn't stock enough food but they clearly didn't care about the lower level members enough to bother.

I think I understand where Pat is coming from. The word "fascist" is so overused that it's true meaning has been completely lost. I was laughing at Chris's attempt at defining fascism but it was just a bunch of words with no proper meaning. Today, the word "fascist" is thrown around for everyone who disagrees with you. It's been diluted over the years and now you have people like Chris not being able to properly define it. It's not his fault. Even I don't know it's exact meaning now because of the way people have overused it.
    Great reaction though!

It's not really a simple ideology to define. People can often recognise a fascist government when they see one and elements of society that are fascists but it's harder to define. It also takes slightly different forms in different places. I see what you mean that the word is overused though.

His struggle to express a definition isn’t necessarily the same thing as not understanding it, not to mention what he said in terms of authoritarianism and controlling/ distorting the flow of information was all correct. There were maybe some minor inaccuracies but mostly it was incomplete, but not inaccurate.

Chris has absolutely no idea what Fascism is. He's gone on a lot of ignorant rambles on the channel, but that was just embarrassing.

Lol, watching them be so psyched after this episode is how most of us felt....then came the second half of the season and the downward spiral begins. So sad to see how much potential it had.

No Fascism is form of authoritarian leftism, just like National Socialism, Communism, Socialism and Marxism. The difference is that the founder of Fascism, Mussolini, was an up and coming prodigal son of Marxism but he didnt like how long it was taking to instill the "international based" ideology in his country of Italy. So instead, he came up with a form of Marxism based on nationalistic pride in one owns country rather than internationalism of Marxism. Mussolini wanted to harken back to the days of Rome and the republic. National Socialism pulled a lot of its tenants from Fascism.
Fascism: Production and means of economy remains in private hands with Government Control
Socialism: Production and means of economy is in Government hands with some private ownership of companies
Communism: Production means, control and ownership is ALL in Government control

Fascism has historically been considered a far-right ideology. Fascism is a form of authoritarian ultranationalism characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition and strong regimentation of society and of the economy. Fascists believe that liberal democracy is obsolete and regard the complete mobilization of society under a totalitarian one-party state as necessary. Fascism rejects assertions that violence is automatically negative in nature and views political violence, war, and imperialism as means to achieve their goal. According to many scholars, fascism - especially once in power - has historically attacked communism, conservatism, and parliamentary liberalism, attracting support primarily from the far-right.
