This is a masterpiece for sure. The emotions of audience are all held tightly by him. He is the most unique artist I've ever seen. A true artist in China. He has so many different side you haven't seen. More of him please.
You're the first reactor I've ever seen who commented on the camera effects, which I've always thought were brilliant, and I'm sure he likely had his hand in that too. This performance is a work of art, not just a song. Love your reaction and so glad you're enjoying his music! Hope you watch many more!
Thanks for continuing to react to this incredible artist! Fake Monk is often consider more of his art piece in that he uses unconventional vocalizations to express the conflict of someone wanting/needing love; but rejecting love. Hua used it to express the conflicts in his own lonely childhood. He is mesmerizing to watch. Here is a pre-stage interview in which he talked about the song, if you would like to watch it. Pre-stage Interview to Fake Monk ruclips.net/video/nFtG7Au5DnU/видео.html Here are two rock songs, you might enjoy: "Aliens" the MV - ruclips.net/video/nv9_CmZr5Hw/видео.html "Jackdaw Boy" (theme song of TV Drama "Battle Through the Heaven") ruclips.net/video/vUFcqzDsVTI/видео.html
This performance is truly out of the world. Just a keyboard and himself. His songs are extremely diverse and each, as you now know, will give u a surprise. Try his latest song that he wrote for anti-fans and keyboard warriors called 'black and white artist'. The song's vibe is awesome, coolness bordering on arrogance that only hua can pull off
Thank you and great reaction. Lol. Just never can predict what style he will use. My favorite performance just because of his unique bold performance. His newest one Airplane mode (with Eng sub) and Black and White Artist again totally different styles.
Buddhism is about self-enlightenment. The devoted monks give up personal possessions, family ties, and other humanly desires to purify themselves to seek enlightenment. Some monks would wander by foot over long distances, and often aimlessly, to see and, at the same time, to detach themselves from the society. Hua's rendition of this fake monk is someone who is supposed to be a devoted wandering monk, but yet unable to break free from all the humanly emotions held inside. This monk wanders numbly like how he is supposed to, then the inner desires, sadness, self-rejection, and anger, seep out at times, get stronger, and eventually explode in ways completely on the opposite side of what a monk is supposed to be. After that, he picks himself back together, gets back on his aimless and numb journey, and PRETENDS to be a monk.
He used the minimalist form of "one person, one piano" to create an experiential journey that leads people into the dark side of himself! Obviously, his performance is absolutely personal, and there is no public place suitable for playing this song. Not only because it is unpleasant and does not bring joy, but also because the emotion of this song is so strong, the listener can only have two attitudes: immersion, or fleeing in a hurry. There is no audience in the perspective of this song. This song is not second-perspective music of "narration", nor is it third-perspective music of "observation". It is a piece of pure and immersive music. The "experiential" music of the realm is a fusion with God, painful intercourse with fate, which is a splendor that is equal to the excellent literature.
This is a fantastic song and performance, but not an easy one to start with for your friend - although he had good taste and liked it. Maybe try "Jackdaw boy" next or "Great sage equal to heaven" or "New world" or one of the completely new songs "Black and white artist" or "Flight mode"? Love you! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪
Guess you missed his intro to the song. He was going back in time when he was younger, living on his own, feeling alone, lost, frustrated, confused and anguish. Darkness almost consumed him then. In his own words, he added alot of "screaming", just to shout out, to 'save' himself.
It's helpful to go back and watch the pre-stage interview to understand what this song means to him. Loving your reactions.....but I do have to comment on the shirt...ahem...my family has a Cowboy/Niner rivalry going on for years now. I'll give it to you guys this year, but we'll be back!!! hahaha
Welcome to the dark side...He is so good at wrapping the audience around his fingers. Just when you thought you've seen his tricks and know how things will likely go right? He slaps something complete different in your face. There is actually a little intro where Hua explained a bit why he sang this song this way...you can look for it if you want.
Here are some performances I really hope you'll react to: New World (this shouldn't be blocked...you can play it straight through...it's from his concert) ruclips.net/video/Fnk2Ybk8XZU/видео.html. Bullfighting: ruclips.net/video/hliWpb39f0U/видео.html I usually recommend live performances but for this, I think the MV is so incredibly profound and really speaks to the song, and I think you'll really love this duet from The Next because it's got some great rock and rap in it - Insignificance ruclips.net/video/zR89LlaDRPg/видео.html. If you have a friend with you who loves lyrics...this song has the music and the lyrics are so touching....even while he's rapping. Hua Hua was a mentor on this show....and he's amazing with every single performance....even "Mice Love Rice". lol
Ok, first Dimash, now my second favorite artist Chenyu and a Cowboy jersey. Add a Dallas Star shirt and Chris Stapleton and it will be complete. One of my favorite Chenyu songs is 7 Personalities. It is wild.
This is my frist time watching your channel , thank you for sharing Huahua's music。Huahua is an amazing young musician and his superb arrngement and creativity challenge of music , It is pity that Huahua's music has made him polarizedand criticized , l hope More people will see this musician who on optimizing his music style Give him more encouragement and support , l love him we all love him --- he deserves better respect 。
Hua's music reminds me of that Bruce Lee quote, "“You must be shapeless, formless, like water. When you pour water in a cup, it becomes the cup. When you pour water in a bottle, it becomes the bottle. When you pour water in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Water can drip and it can crash. Become like water my friend.” Hua's music style is like water, he can be any style and all styles lol
Man this is sooo emotional. Saying he wants love basically, but doesn’t know how to get it because it makes him uncomfortable is how U took that. Such artistry.
I must confess Skateboard isnt my fav HCY song, so when i watch it its usually the version from The Next or a concert. I cant exactly remember if ive seen this version before, but i probably have. The original Next version is better, i must say. And the original song ( hcy bought the rights to the song after the show) is just hilarious… you really should watch it sometime. In private.
This is far most artistic performance of a singer ..thank you for reacting on this song 😆🌹
This is a masterpiece for sure. The emotions of audience are all held tightly by him. He is the most unique artist I've ever seen. A true artist in China. He has so many different side you haven't seen. More of him please.

Hua Hua is amazing. This is a masterpiece. The audience are at the edge of their seat. He has the power to capture their attention. Amazing.
He said he is a rocker, he want to express the difference aspect of himself. Bright and dark. He’s also a great composer.
Amazing good song... Thanks share...

This is a song better experienced than anticipated.
👍👍👍👍👍

I don't think your friend need to be impressed more, he loved it.
