I was thinking of Faith! There is a site called BetterSAM that actually allows you to record text to speech AND download the WAV file. I also lets you change the levels of bass and treble so I could make some decently different voices.
When people call this game "one of a kind," they're not kidding. It's a medieval nightmare that belongs sketched on some moldy scroll unearthed in the basement of an abandoned, dilapidated church somewhere in Dartmoor, not stamped on a CD-ROM. My baby sister once told me that she couldn't play the game all the way through because she was too scared of how the story would ultimately turn out, as if its oppressive atmosphere somehow made her begin to subliminally expect a frightening ending that would haunt her for the rest of her days. It's the exact same reason why I quit the game myself and still can't grow the balls to discover what happened, even with search engines and RUclips now at my disposal. (Although I've heard there were at least six unique endings with an as-yet unconfirmed seventh that required an extremely thorough playthrough to unlock, and even then was only available on a few random copies of the game. I don't know if there was some kind of manufacturing screw-up involved or what.)
I couldn't get the damn thing to load. Maybe I ported it wrong. Maybe the pale moonlight stopped shining. Anyhow, if anyone has a copy, I'd be much obliged.
As cool as this is I have to admit recognizing profesor Egadd's voice clip with the ratman kinda gave me enough tematic whiplash that took me right back to reality.

They eventually relented and let me make this as long as I used no artwork and accepted no payment for it (which I didn't intend to anyway!)

I just think part of making these kinds of love letters to a piece of media is made better when made by the hand that wants to see it be made. The first half of the video is very good I love that!

This is based on a book for a game that doesn't exist...yet! Although the creator of the book says they're working on some expansions for it. There IS a pen and paper RPG called Mork Borg which is pretty darn close to this concept!

I was thinking the creator could make a pen and paper version of this some day( or at least make a version that's compatible with Mork Borg) It seems it uses 4 Attributes instead of the usual six stats In DnD and other role playing games.

I like the presentation but I gotta say the AI art used is just not of good quality to the point it brings down the presentation. Even just lifting the images from the book as PNGs would have been better for the overall quality. Other than that my only other complaints are that I feel like the animation for "which flesh is your flesh" is too outright gorey for the more subtle and slow horror of Vermis. This one is just a Me Thing but I always imagined a distinct pause between "which flesh" and "Is your flesh?" in the book (the line is a tad different in the book but still).

My dad's old copy of this was on several floppy disks for the Commodore 64.
