Thanks for the reply! I will film the quarter replacement. I think I will need a patch on the other side so I will probably do a video on patching as well.
Cant find the link to the new video. Im doing both sides of my 70 elco. Planning to panel bond them. But would really love to see how you did it. Dig the channel. I've subscribed. If you ever need instrumental tunes for your videos, let me know. Cheers Forrest Lee Jr.
I appreciate this channel. I'm currently doin a 79 with a 6 liter ls swap. Old trans. 350 turbo. But this winter it's getting the body done. Not sure yet if I'm back halting it or gbody noch. Either way the quarters are bad. Rustbelt NW Indiana. I'm probably going full quarters. Anxious to see your fix.
Do a new quarter... take it from me you will regret it if you don't. I'm currently doing my 67 Chevelle. You have given me some good ideas on the back half.
Id definitely watch all the videos. Even if they were just time lapse with cheesy music. I know its a pain to film while working, it slows you down. I'd appreciate any vid you could put together on it
I know I said several weeks ago that I would love to see you change the quarter panel but I don't see what I wrote. Could it be that you are going to cut out the wheel well anyway for clearance ?
If you're still in need of a quarter panel i found an ad for a full 68 - 72 OEM / GM el camino passenger side panel for $1,350 OBO which isn't a bad price for the real deal instead of buying one of those Taiwan repops that don't always fit right.
Full quarter on that car. That rust goes a foot past where you marked, way more body work putting a patch than drilling spot welds & replacing the whole quarter not to mention outer wheel house lip is junk. Use a full quarter like factory.
you will never be able to come close to the curve that was there originally....Best just replace.....Taiwan makes great panels....better than the original imho...My Mustang you can't even tell.
I’m working on my 71 ElCo and this whole channel is extremely helpful thank you guys for everything!
I am happy I can help! I really do love a 71 El Camino. If you use Instagram send me some pictures!
Yes, would like to see quarter panel install and camaro update as well, great job by the way.
Thanks! I really do need to catch everyone up on the Camaro. There is some good and bad stuff with it.
Yep, add that new quarter. We would love to see what's involved in replacing it.

You sell the el Camino?
I have one like yours, it has new quarters but needs a lot of work still. I want to see this
Definitely show it! I’ve got a 68 elco that I’m restoring and would love to see it
Yes. Let's see it all. I've got a 72. Will be great to see what's ahead. 👍👍
Well I will get it done then!
For sure I’d watch. Your videos are extremely informative, and that inspires me for my own car one day
Yes, do videos on the process of doing the quarter. You make good content, so it will be beneficial to watch!
Thanks! I appreciate that.
Yes, a replacement video is very cool. I kmow I can handle the work, but; others will find it instructional! I would enjoy to see the project proceed!
would love to see new quarter panel install as well as a bit of an instructional approach to it
That will probably be how I make the video.
Do the quarter. You are great at telling us what you are doing and why you're doing it. I think a quarter replacement video would be informative.
I appreciate that! I always wonder if I am informative or just rambling on for no reason.
Cant find the link to the new video.

For sure do the video of the patches on the driver side and new quarter on the passenger .
I will do a separate video for each and hopefully they are helpful.
Quarter panel and the video would be awesome and a chance for you to show more of your skills
Best
I need to do same thing so please do good videos
I will try.

I would watch a video on replacing that quarter, highlight the important stuff, then put the rest in time lapse with some cool music behind it.
That seems like the best way to do it. Thank for watching!
Hey man. I checked out your channel. You have some cools stuff and I subscribed.
@@BudgetBuildGarage Thanks, I appreciate it.

I will do some videos on the quarter and the patches on the other side.
Does anyone actually enjoy doing body work?
No one likes doing it. That is why paint and body shops can charge so much.
@@jmh2567 I hate the dust from all the sanding. It gets everywhere!
I love rust repair...otherwise the throw away/guve-uppers are WINNING!
I'd watch a quarter panel go in.

No progress??
I'd like to see the quarter panel put on completely extensive or not
I want to see it I have to do it
Im doing a 65 el camino so im in the same boat
Put in a new quarter, get rid of rust and crash damage
That's what I am going to have to do for sure.
I'm working on a 1969 el camino. Put on a new one.
new quarter....don't waste your time....I did my whole mustang...did bother with patching...and you're right...it's a bitch...

Rust is the worst part of classic cars.
It really is. I don't live in a place that gets really bad but its still my least favorite job.
