You slide a cheap rubber chicken mask you bought at a department store on your head and step out of the elevator.
You maniacally bounce the bat in one hand while holding the handle in the other.
A few of them notice you, by sound of the bat slapping your palm.
You decide to make your way to the closest one.
With every step you take, he gets more concerned.
In the shred of a second, you wallop the bat in the side of his skull, splitting his head open and leaving his twitching body on the gleaming, cold, white tile floor in a growing puddle of blood.

As a Miami native, I drive the Julia Tuttle that connects Miami to Miami Beach almost every weekend. At night I play this song as you reach the height of the bridge and Downtown Miami is on your left. It is a wonderful sight, but the city at night is where the animals come out...and that is Miami almost every night. It is beautiful and frightening at the same time...like a hurricane.

Every few years..I come back to this song, It just hits me different and makes me think how much I changed over the years. Life constantly changes, It ebbs and flows like a river..even the sturdiest rocks falter over time… This is a reminder for everyone that no negative or positive things are permanent. Life is temporary. It’s ying and yang. You have to find your own balance.

Nothing will get better and you simply dont care anymore, because anything you do is futile and the only options are either ending the pain or accepting the absurdity of life. Hence all hopes are lost, because there is nothing really left to hope for, because any thought of anything only exists in your mind anyway.

Is there even a point in building memorials?
There will come a time when people will look at them and not recognize the names written, there will come a day everything you built will be burned down, everything you've left behind will rot and everyne who remembers you will die. You can keep trying but you can't run from the truth, so I ask you... Why waste time? Building empires and leaving marks for people to remember you even knowing they wont last forever. Sooner or later everyone is forgotten. There will come a day your legacy and your memory will be nothing more than *dust* in the wind
Memorials are the thoughts in the mind of those who serve lives in the current few generations. After so long memories will fade and all there will be is dust... ;)

What you and future generations can do is rather than being sad about not remembering your ancestors or ancient and forgotten great leaders or inventors, you can acknowledge that without them the earth and humanity wouldn't have come to where it is now and that things would be much different and maybe you or I wouldn't even exist. If you can't remember specifically them then that is the only thing you can do. Memorials are a pretty great thing and they do have a point. Bodies of humans literary become one with the ground. They decompose so they can feed millions of other small life forms. Memorials exist so that they can help remind us that without those people that died and did things in their lives things could be worse or better. But it really doesn't matter. It's just how things are. The people that are gonna be born and were born and what they are gonna do is a decision made by the cosmic metaphorical dice that was played by nature in the beginning of the existence of existence. A huge wide cosmos (compared to us humans of course. Size doesn't matter if there aren't any humans around to compare it to themselves) that is just the way it is and we as humans are just another chemical reaction, we are sacks of meat that walk and talk and are self aware and die and live and have evolved to do so. Death and life is just nature's way to give immortality. Nature metaphorically sees all your ancestors in you. Anyway, I got a bit off track here... Memorials are the basically the only thing that we as humans can do to honor the dead and appreciate the things they did. Dead people are forgotten because if they didn't get forgotten then well... (this is gonna sound cliche) humans wouldn't be able to move on and focus on their lives and securing a good life for their children so that the children can secure a good life for their children etc. Until all life becomes extinct and the universe collapses on itself. By then... We will be and what will remain as a memorial of humans is one singular speckle of M.O.O.N.- DUST...

соболезную тебе, сам 9 месяцев назад похоронил своего отца, он был заядлым алкоголиком но одновременно очень классным человеком, жаль его судьба сложилось очень сильно не в его сторону. К сожалению я не смог быть в больнице в тот день, когда он умер. Так как я был очень уставшим из за работы. Но мне врезались его слова которые он мне написал за 10 часов до смерти "Привет Как отработал? Устал?". Жаль я с ним так и не успел адекватно спроводить время, ни рыбалка, ни какие то выезды за город. Но он меня научил главному "Надеяться на лучшее и готовиться к худшему". За что я его очень сильно уважаю

It's fucked up, but I taught about "if I could choose one song to listen to before I die, what would it be?" I think it would be this song (moon - dust) or another song (blueeyes.beat - perfect day ; you probably haven't heard of this, because it can't be found anywhere in the major platforms of music streaming) , but it's a hard choice.
