The grand i10 or Xcent never came with standard 'ABS' both cars only had them only in the topend 'O' variants. even airbags were single even on 2nd variant magna onwards(era->magna). Interesting find on the omission of auto dimming mirrors. Ford Aspire is still the best value package overall BUT, Dzire will outsell all of them :D .

I want to upgrade from my small hatchback with 1.0 L petrol engine to a Compact Sedan car with 1.2 L petrol engine. Budget is 6-7 lakh. Good looking exteriors, good quality interiors, safety features like Air bags, ABS, EBD, Power windows, Parking sensors, reverse camera, better build quality, better handling and decent ride are my requirements. I like driving cars.
I prefer the car which is not very common in Indian roads. Frankly speaking, none of the Maruti Cars impress me. So, Dzire is out of choice.
The cars which I have shortlisted Ford Aspire 1.2 Titanium and Hyundai Xcent SX.
Ford Aspire is the car which I liked most. Concerns are lack of reverse parking camera in it and the poor service network and after sales services of Ford.
Hyundai Xcent SX is appears to be a good package. It meets all my requirements. But its handling, very light steering and lower ground clearance are my concerns. Xcent SX is approximately 40K costlier than Aspire Titanium.
    Can you help me here?

Thank you sir. My Plans are at initial stage. If I have to consider a premium hatchback instead of Compact sedan, then it will be Hyundai elite i20 Sportz. Car is good looking from outside, it has very good interiors, features , good rear seat space, a usable boot. Hyundai cars have perhaps the best designed and quality interior. I haven't driven elite i20, but recently drove i20 Active (almost 200 km). It is easy to drive due to light steering, good for city, but it doesn't give feel and confidence of control at higher speeds. But, that light steering is not a big issue.

I recently checked Maruti Baleno Zeta, Hyundai Elite i20 Sportz, Xcent SX and Ford Aspire Titanium. Baleno is most spacious among these. It looks appeared fresh to me. It is good package. Mileage is best among these cars. But its interiors do not give that premium feel as that of elite i20. Interiors of elite i20 & Xcent are better. Even I liked interiors of Aspire more than that of Baleno. As far external design is concerned, I liked Aspire the most. Visibility is also good in Aspire. 174 mm ground clearance is also a plus point for me.
I think that the cooled glove box is not that much useful features. Rear AC Vent and Driver arm rest in Baleno and Elite i20 look very awkward to me inside cabin. Space utilization in elite i20 is not as good as Baleno & Aspire. Rear seat of Elite i20 appears small. Xcent width is smallest among these cars. Light steering of i20 is a let down for me. Reverse parking sensors & camera can be fitted as accessory from the showroom in all cars.
I rarely drive car at speeds more than 80 km/h. 50-70 km/h is my normal driving speed. Most of the time, car shall be used for office and for weekly/monthly family trips, marketing etc.
At the end, I am still confused. May be I have to wait for 2018 facelifts of Aspire & Elite i20.
