Gragson and Busch spinning and yet still advancing makes me hoping this will be a good season for them
I just want to see Busch get one win!
Yes,kyle busch wins,wins,and wins..@@lordfarquad444
If Busch wins he will officially have a Minecraft stack of wins.
@@Andythememer420he is not that driver anymore if he wins once he might get one or two more but these cars its harder to win.
@@FathomMane Kyle was in contention last year at Kansas until he spun from the lead. At least I think it was Kansas. Also he was gonna win at Daytona until Harrison Burton came out of nowhere, he was in contention at Darlington but couldn't chase down briscoe. He totally could win this year.
I thought SVG was the biggest surprise tonight. Great job by him, great job by Trackhouse for getting all 3 of their drivers in the main
Agree! I was thinking the same thing with SVG and I though it would be a win if he just made the main having never raced on a track like this with a stock car
A flat short track isn’t really that unlike a road course tbh. It’s just then 11 of Sonoma over and over again
I wasn't surprised at all. He enjoys Martinsville and short shifting tracks.
“Kyle Larson falling into the clutches of Cody Ware” is something I thought I would never hear🤣
Cody is going to be good this year!
It will prob be the first and last time you ever hear that lol
Larson never strangled a woman
He can if Cody has the same stuff as Kyle does.
god i actually started cackling when i heard that
We are so back
Don't jinx it or they'll go single file
We are sooooo back
Pin this Eric
We are sooo not back. Stop being gay
WE ARE BAAAAAAAAACCKKKK
It was fun. Hickory and Eldora need to be on the list if they keep running real short tracks.
Knoxville Raceway in Iowa could do it as well, 22,000 thousand seats which is more than Bowman Gray.
The Rock snd Nashville fairgrounds would make me happy
I still think a 5/8-3/4 half-banked track would make a nice ‘clash’ but we’ll see tonight how this plays out; if it’s good or not.
I agree. I would like to see more of short tracks/grass roots racing. Real racing to me.
For sure eldora I know the trucks was awesome at eldora
This was decent. I would really like it if they did it at a wider short track like Hickory or South Boston. They would still get the action they want but it would be better racing
SoBo would be great!!!
SVG learning the ovals.
Wide shorttracks like Oswego, Five Flags, even dirt tracks like Williams Grove, Eldora would all be way better options. But I'm glad they are looking at short tracks again
Port Royal PA would be something to watch with these cars
@CodyLetsRace Agree port might be tough logistics though
I don't know which one has no outside walls on its corners
Williams grove would suck ass.
@@RazorSharp75426Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine is 3/8 of a mile with no outside walls in the corners
The most consistent thing NASCAR has done lately is taking risks on the schedule and so far have all been successful. This looks to be another “I can’t believe they’re doing this” moment and turns out to be a great event! And one that should be on NASCAR fans bucket list
It’s called the madhouse for a reason!
Were you not entertained?
Only thing that bothered me was the lack of passing after like the first 5-8 laps. After those laps it was a "ride and wait" event it seemed. After watching the past Clashes at Daytona from the early to mid 1990's on NASCAR channel on Tubi, I realized how bad the racing has gotten. I mean Earnhardt started dead last in a group of 15 (I think - maybe 13) but got to the lead at Daytona in like 10 laps and won. THATS what we need to bring back! This ride in two lines and run out laps until someone wrecks and the lucky person wins is not fun to watch.
It's called the gayWokeHomosexual house
@@3120DownForcethe shithouse
@3120DownForce bro we’re just trying to talk about a fun nascar race keep your politics out
Thank you for reporting and giving us all the details. Some of us can't stream all of the races that we would like to this year. Keep up the great work, Eric, and congratulations on your marriage!
On another note. Man the Tv direction on FS1 was abysmal in some spots.
On the plus side, Mike Joy had a lot of energy. I thought he was really strong tonight.
@@EricEstepp Oh yeah. I’m always excited when I hear Mike Joy call the races.
for 3 laps during heat 4, the frame was frozen and we missed the entire restart
@@EricEsteppagreed
@@EricEsteppcouldn’t stop laughing when he said shadium 😂😂
I love how we forget Haley chopped Kyle, then drove through him 5 times, but we only talked about Kyle giving him the bumper under yellow. Haley is lucky Kb didn't send him firewall deep
How anyone can like Hayley is beyond me
@m73jaredII I don't dislike him I just find it insane to blame that on Kyle
@cjfastfoot agreed,,they [chevrolet]spotters..need code or team chevy..order's...ford,who takes home the hardware..championships...know how to race ..but work together..
At one point Hayley was off.the ground driven iver the top of people 😆 🤣
@@Kodykinns2525 cause he's a terrorist
I love the classic "don't do that" Ryan Preece reference 😂
Denny Hamlin will go and drive for his own team. He can take a pay cut and still make it work that way. Not a big fan of his, but large respect for him. He is top 5 in drivers right now.
Happy to see SVG do really well!
Yes indeed
Seems like there was allot of action right off the green flag, then it got spread out and very little passing. Like a normal NASCAR race. Still love it.
To be completely fair, Kyle Busch was offered a contract to stay at JGR that he chose to turn down. Ended up taking a deal paying less money at RCR.
I can’t imagine that kind of offer wouldn’t also be extended to Denny.
What’s your source on the first part? Kyle allegedly made close to 20 million dollars last year.
@@Amstercam0130 I’m pretty sure it was direct from Kyle Busch, but I’m not sure I can remember which of the thousand interviews two years ago it would’ve been in.
Kyle got more money from RCR than JGR was offering. He could have taken a pay cut and stayed with JGR.
@@gregvandy34That is absolutely not what was reported at the time. He would have taken a pay cut compared to his previous JGR salary, but made more than he did with RCR.
Folks have been misunderstanding this for years, thinking JGR shafted him, they didn’t. He turned it down to try and meet his ‘market value’ and it turned out his market value was lower than JGR’s offer.
SVG did a great job tonight.
One thing that not alot of NASCAR fans are probably aware of Joe Gibbs in the grand scheme of things is not a wealthy man like Penske or Hendrick or even a Gene Haas, accordingly he cant fund a cup team out of his own pocket. The 11 team's financing is in trouble for sure.
I enjoyed the heat races. I am glad they didn’t come back to LA, even bough I live in SoCal. The coliseum race just seemed sad to be somehow. Maybe the sparse attendance, or the fact the city could have cared less? Anyway…
What has been done to California speedway is a shame. I liked that race. It was well attended. I don’t think we will ever see races there again.
Do I see a wedding ring?? Congrats Eric!!!!
Eric did get married recently - her name is Amelia.
Nascar did a great job with this event already, I like the direction we are going thus far.
This is the racing we needed, short track grass routes ways into the races. Awesome so far
Nice to see all the RFK cars made it
Thank goodness for SVG bringing some actual racing skill sets to this race. Trail braking and using the brakes to steer the car instead of using the brakes to stop the car.
Unfortunately some chose to use the car in front as their brakes and that doesn't require much skill as we can all do that at the fairground on the dodgem cars..
Hyped for the clash tomorrow 🇺🇸
NASCAR IS BAAAAACK
I watched the whole thing and it's my opinion that Bowman Gray races better than the LA Coliseum.
hell of a race
I’m calling it right now, Denny is going to get KFB treatment
Noah was the driver of the night for me.
Welcome back to the raising season once again and thank you for the awesome title that you just said how your mouth a lot of drivers are pissed off from last night. Do you think last night is going to be what’s gonna happen tonight‘s race I think it’s gonna be awesome, but I still think the clash still needed to be at Daytona NASCAR needs to do some testing at Daytona. It’s just not the same without having a clash at Daytona.
So pumped to see Briscoe looking strong in the 19! I hope he can be great in his new top ride.
I agree!
3-5 wins this year for him, im predicting
No.. not worried about Denny Hamlin not getting an anchor sponsor. Only because it is Denny Hamlin. And, DH will win tonight!!
One positive takeaway from the race is caution laps didn't count. I would like to see that during the season at least at some tracks especially Phoenix. The race is already pretty short. Cautions are few. I think it would be a good addition.
My pick today and ALWAYS is Denny Hamlin!🤑😍
That was solid. Lap traffic tomorrow will be wild
Hickory would be so much fun!
I enjoyed the race 🏁! I was thinking it would be a crash fest like most races there.
I was wrong. Hopefully tomorrows race will be just as entertaining.
SVG makes the race, could be the start of something new
Something tells me this is Denny's last year at JGR. I wonder if he will make some deal with Joe Gibbs to take the 11 number with him to 23XI? We heard Joe Gibbs say the 18 would make a return one day at JGR.
23XI font on the 11...
In Roman numerals?
NASCAR needs to return the clash to Daytona and the original 20 lap format.
Nobody went, tracks aren't going to host unprofitable events
Nobody wants to watch 20 laps
This track was so much better than LA for racing, probably to no surprise to most.
Also his age might be a factor for luring a big sponsor. Since he's close to that retirement age, 45-46. A big sponsor might like Hamlin but may not like his replacement
You can feel the love
From actual racing to bumper cars.
No anchor sponsors? Well that's because Hamlin's grandpa doesn't completely own a team...😏
And yes it's good to be back! 😊
I don’t think I’ve been this hyped for a season to start! I hope this won’t be Hamlins only win this season
Am surprised you didn’t mention track house getting all three drivers in, especially rookie SVG. Tired of everybody always talking Hamlin.
Please do this format at a half mile dirt track like Eldora or Volusia nascar 🙏
Volusia would work well for this time of year, I'd love to see North Wilks be a points race and the all star weekend go to eldora
Better yet, in #$@$in' Japan!! 🤘
@JonathanStrome why, just another road course just halfway across the world. I'd like to see then run more road courses in america
@JonathanStrome I wonder if the teams would be down for that, could be a cool idea but you are going to struggle to find teams willing to go that far
@@MmTGaming7 They have ovals, if that ain't enough than they have the infamous C1 loop from the Shuto Highway, which they could close off for the race.
If you people thought that was entertaining you should really watch something like cars tour or modifieds on a bigger track. Similar to that but alot better
i got $3 i can give to JGR and the #11 team right now… what kind of sponsorship deal can that get me? 👉👈
I'm suprised nascar fans are praising this it was just like LA to me. I would love for them to do this at Eldora
LA became a parade at times. This seems like much more of a true short track. Helps that it IS an actual short track instead of LA lol
@@jgmusic_It's slightly smaller. I think you people are just from north carolina and biased lol
@@jgmusic_Most short tracks are bigger than this and the ones that are close to this size have banking
@@jgmusic_Bowman Gray is nothing like most short tracks
I agree.. Dirt race would be more entertaining with racing
Does Bowman Gray pavement being a bit older than brand new LA Coliseum pavement change much with this new car?
Ok this is a bull in a China shop!
Can't wait till next year, they're running the clash in the Wal-Mart parking lot. I never thought I'd see the pole sitter speed in the clash be 63mph.
There is no way Denny Hamlin retires before driving for himself for a couple of years.
Busch, Hamlin, Elliott top ten finishers. Busch to win 🏁
Go Rowdy.❤❤❤❤
KFB has beef with the 7 car forever now no matter the driver
Awesome videos dude!! Great to see ya again! Looking fresh too!
I liked this much better than the Colliseum, but the crowd was definitely dressed for the cold.
good on Gisbergen for the top 5 short oval
“Ive got All I need right here,
USE em or lose em
oOf”
I was front row start/finish line. They had the clamps on the modifieds for sure, but the Show Stopper put on a show in taking the fan challenge and winning from the back for an additional $5k purse. As far as Cup, I ended up in the background of the pre-race driver photo! Pretty cool to have legends just wandering around and getting to hear them shoot the breeze. The Cup racing was… okay. One thing that struck me: This was kind of like watching the UFC showing up at an indy wrestling show and seeing elite fighters trying to put each other through flaming tables. Entertaining for sure, but not to be taken seriously. An exhibition event at its finest! Can’t wait to be back tomorrow!
KB had every right to be mad. Haley was a menace out there.
Pretty mid. I agree with the people saying do this at hickory, i would like for them to rotate short tracks with this date
i wont mind going going to spa
I want Kyle Busch to win but Elliot looked like he had the best car last night
Maybe Out Of The Groove could become a Hamlin sponsor…
To those who saw what Ryan Preece did, “don’t do that”
I would like to see Denny Hamlin drive for 23XI for his last few years in NASCAR
Maybe even win his first championship in 23XI equipment?
That would be amazing
That would make for quite a story.
Was there all weekend. Three wide at one point. Raced into traffic clean. Damn good short track racing
Racing season starts and I’m here for it nascar, Indy, f1, all of it!
Really happy to see a few successes. Way to go RFK and SVG! Nice to see Kyle Busch finish well despite being spun out.
According to Dave Alpern, President of Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR). All the sponsorship the racing team receives, across all four teams, is pooled into the one bank account. Then distributed across all four teams in a form of equal portion. So while one car may technically bring in more income to JGR, that funding is not necessarily all spent on the same car it is accountable too.
Then why let Busch go? If true that they pool the money then Busch really didn't need a big sponsor to stay and jgr was just using that as a excuse
@robertstone9988 because Kyle Busch made the decision to go. Doesn't anyone actually understand that.
The information about the sponsorship is on JGRs RUclips account page, if you want it confirmed.
Bobby Labonte had interstate batteries on his car for many years. Why couldn't Hamlin run that sponsor?
Im really hoping for a Alex Bowman breakout season!!! I don't think Rick Hendrick would keep him around if he didn't see something worrh keeping. He runs quietly. It's easy to forget how many wins he actually has, although 2024 he only won the Chicago street course race.
Can’t wait for tomorrow how about you
Kyle Busch, I believe in you.
I like the idea of heat races. It creates a sense of urgency.
I feel like Coca-Cola and possibly Toyota would sponsor hamlin for a bit
No way does Hamlin go winless this year. He's too good, especially in the early part of the season. Just needs to figure out how to keep that after the halfway point.
Hamlin won't be retiring until he runs a year at his own team, guarantee that.
This is a golden opportunity for the company I work for, Publix, to return to NASCAR.
Surprised they are not involved, at least the 500 since they are big in Florida!
3:34 before the wall was installed that is how the wall is. They built it around the grandstands.
Denny is today's Mark Martin in my eyes. He'll keep going as long as he can
Racing is back on, Daytona 24Hr, Bathurst 12Hr and now the start of the Nascar season. I'm excited.
Be more entertaining if I went to the amusement park and watched the bumper cars
It seems like Joe Gibbs is still trying to get that 20 Plus Race Sponsor Deal when sponsors don't want to do that anymore
Anyone gonna talk about svg doing better then both his teammates
Yeah.......lets see how the race goes.
I’m just happy he’s in good equipment.
Justin Haley, JHN and AJ doing there best to tear up race cars.
That guys better than alot of the field
I like SVG. But his main strengths is road courses.
I do have one reservation with the heat races so far, and that’s that I don’t think there was a single pass for the lead. Keselowski came close once or twice, but for the most part, the leader was able to pull away while 2nd, 3rd, and 4th duked it out and that’d be the end of it. I hope the larger fields for the LCQ and the main event mitigate that a bit with more traffic.
I've said for years, that if ya wanna have this type of race "just for show", which is all the Clash is, put the drivers in different cars for the weekend. Modified cars, sprints, midgets, whatever. They're supposed to be the cream of the crop drivers right? So, they should be able to drive anything. If it doesn't count for points, I say fuck it, let em run in the kinda cars the track it made for. Just one guy's opinion.
Fair, but only some of them regularly race on dirt lol. There'd be a wider skill gap, so it wouldn't be as entertaining.
We need cup drivers in legends cars!!!
Putting cup stars in modified cars would be awesome
I wouldn't be shocked if stewart tries to revive the prelude to the dream at some point. Which was cup guys racing at eldora in dirt super late models. Just exclude Larson and Bell, they would be too good
Nascar is back!!!!!!!!!
Tonight was an exciting night not only for wrestling but for racing fans to I mean shoot you had the royal rumble, (congrats to Jey uso btw) this and aew collision
Let’s go Kyle. Busch, that is.
I think Kyle is probably laughing menacingly having the best time of his life.
The Madhouse: NASCAR’s return to Bowman Gray is a RUclips vid that’s worth a watch.
It seems like Denny really wants to drive for his own team
I agree with you. Denny Hamlin is sneaky fast and Toyota has speed. He will win again this year. I have never been a Denny Hamlin fan but, that aside, he’s not done yet.
Busch vs the field last night was crazy
Preece probably wanted to return that to JHN ever sinde he wrecked joey at Phoenix in the spring with a punt that i think preece was wrecked in as well.
