      Only thing that bothered me was the lack of passing after like the first 5-8 laps. After those laps it was a "ride and wait" event it seemed. After watching the past Clashes at Daytona from the early to mid 1990's on NASCAR channel on Tubi, I realized how bad the racing has gotten. I mean Earnhardt started dead last in a group of 15 (I think - maybe 13) but got to the lead at Daytona in like 10 laps and won. THATS what we need to bring back! This ride in two lines and run out laps until someone wrecks and the lucky person wins is not fun to watch.

    I would like to see Denny Hamlin drive for 23XI for his last few years in NASCAR
    Maybe even win his first championship in 23XI equipment?

    According to Dave Alpern, President of Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR). All the sponsorship the racing team receives, across all four teams, is pooled into the one bank account. Then distributed across all four teams in a form of equal portion. So while one car may technically bring in more income to JGR, that funding is not necessarily all spent on the same car it is accountable too.

    • @robertstone9988
      @robertstone9988 6 дней назад +1

      Then why let Busch go? If true that they pool the money then Busch really didn't need a big sponsor to stay and jgr was just using that as a excuse

    • @ChristopherWHerbert
      @ChristopherWHerbert 6 дней назад

      @robertstone9988 because Kyle Busch made the decision to go. Doesn't anyone actually understand that.
      The information about the sponsorship is on JGRs RUclips account page, if you want it confirmed.

    Bobby Labonte had interstate batteries on his car for many years. Why couldn't Hamlin run that sponsor?

    Im really hoping for a Alex Bowman breakout season!!! I don't think Rick Hendrick would keep him around if he didn't see something worrh keeping. He runs quietly. It's easy to forget how many wins he actually has, although 2024 he only won the Chicago street course race.

    No way does Hamlin go winless this year. He's too good, especially in the early part of the season. Just needs to figure out how to keep that after the halfway point.
    Hamlin won't be retiring until he runs a year at his own team, guarantee that.

    I do have one reservation with the heat races so far, and that’s that I don’t think there was a single pass for the lead. Keselowski came close once or twice, but for the most part, the leader was able to pull away while 2nd, 3rd, and 4th duked it out and that’d be the end of it. I hope the larger fields for the LCQ and the main event mitigate that a bit with more traffic.

    I've said for years, that if ya wanna have this type of race "just for show", which is all the Clash is, put the drivers in different cars for the weekend. Modified cars, sprints, midgets, whatever. They're supposed to be the cream of the crop drivers right? So, they should be able to drive anything. If it doesn't count for points, I say fuck it, let em run in the kinda cars the track it made for. Just one guy's opinion.
