I am so amazed what can be done with computer games these days. They can be and are often used to do visualisations for documentaries, both by professionals and amateurs. This was a very well made one. The level of detail on the carrier crews made me think this was DCS. Didn't know War Thunder had that level of animation detail with the flight crews :) Splendid work!
TBT, earlier on before the engagement, I was on the USAF RC-130 Recce mission, evading Libyan fighters. There were actually 3 engagements. You featured only 1 of them.
