    7:12 what I’m most impressed by both IRL and in war thunder is the fact the AIM-9L was able to seemingly reacquire a lock on the fitter and not prematurely detonate next to fast eagle 107

    You can actually go to see one of the tomcats that partook in this fight, its on display at the Commemorative Air Force Museum in Texas,
    Sadly the other one crashed in 1994 while trying to land on a carrier

    my guess: it's about one of the gulf of sidra incidents, as the title references the "line of death" set down by the libyan dictator gaddafi.
    e: after rewatching it, i think it'll be about the 1989 incident as you can see the 202 designation on the side of the plane's nose.

    Thank you very much for this video. And especially a big thanks to the su22m3 skin maker. As a former reservist in the Ghaddafi (which frankly I miss a lot) the colors and paint job gave me painful nostalgic feelings.
    The two pilots survived, one is a prominent political figure in current Libya, the wingman is a political prisoner

      I started in 2014 and even that is 8 years ago... This game has been my childhood and will carry on being the best game in the world. I wouldn't trade for another, even if the market was filled with games in the same genre.

    Dude....that was so worth the wait....I honestly couldn't believe you did this with War Thunder, and I've been playing since original CBT in 2011.     This is definitely the best cinematic (up to date) you have done, PJ. I was not prepared for the 'Dogfights' nostalgia though and I was reading the text/subtitles with the voice of the Dogfights emcee every time I re-watched the video.     I am so amazed what can be done with computer games these days. They can be and are often used to do visualisations for documentaries, both by professionals and amateurs.
    This was a very well made one. The level of detail on the carrier crews made me think this was DCS. Didn't know War Thunder had that level of animation detail with the flight crews :)

    TBT, earlier on before the engagement, I was on the USAF RC-130 Recce mission, evading Libyan fighters. There were actually 3 engagements. You featured only 1 of them.
