    Jim: I plan to tie and fish more for Bass this yr and since we don't have steelhead in my part of the country, this looks like it would be a great bass fly.Thanks, Chuck

    A very good pattern for bass also. It gives a wide profile and light material makes it easier to cast.

    Awesome! I've had one of these in the exact color and didn't know what it was called. I love using it on a drop shot for bass in rivers.

    Why wouldn't you tie the marabou in by the tip instead the thick stem ?

    • @TheFlymanJim
      @TheFlymanJim  3 года назад

      That is probably a better way to do it but I'm thinking of a couple reasons. First to have the longer feathers at the back, second that was probably the best feather I had at the time. I have been putting videos up for 10 years now.

    I've been going but only small ones in the same spots I've recorded before. I'm going out now to see what I can get in a new video spot.

      @TheFlymanJim  7 лет назад

      Sure you can the nice thing about tying your own flies is that you can customize them as you like.

    It's not as hard as it looks, it just takes practice. Wound marabou is a very effective material, I suggest you learn to use it.
