    I run 6 days I week about 20 miles a week is all. (Monday-Saturday). I lift 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) total body and Tuesdays and Thursdays I do body weigh HIIT training and occasionally do HIIT on Saturdays too. I’ve seen continual improvements my lifts and run times. Just be consistent and don’t overthink think it. Also eat good but don’t overthink dieting either.

    Your current physique and overall fitness is really well balanced.
    I remember thinking that bodybuilding was the be all and end all. More muscle the better right? but the older I get the more I appreciate a balanced physique. I myself have been enjoying running diffferently from before.
    Not discounting strongman or bodybuilders. It's just my preference. I'm still blown away by The Mountain and Phil Heath btw.

    • @olegnovitski6987
      @olegnovitski6987 4 года назад +9

      Bodybuilding has an entirely different purpose from sports/athletics. It's about cosmetic enhancement of the body. It's not about health/performance, it's the same phenomenon that causes people to undergo plastic surgeries.
      For average men the preference for bodybuilding comes from the notion that building bigger muscle makes them more attractive to the opposite sex, that's 99% of their motivation.If technology would allow to build muscle without going to the gym in the future, most bodybuilders would certainly use it without hesitation.

    • @ljot1
      @ljot1 4 года назад +3

      @@olegnovitski6987 Too true. It doesn't help that the majority of the population that doesn't engage in general fitness correlates bodybuilding aesthetics directly to fitness ability.

    • @williamsolis1
      @williamsolis1 4 года назад +2

      @@ryanluttman1519 I don't know the reason behind your knees but I can tell you that getting two lacrosse balls and deeply rolling them on my calves/hamstrings/glutes/quads/shins and feet have really helped my knees reduce injury because they were pulling my legs out of form due to tightness. Stretching did shit all until I really got into deep tissue work. Also really dialling in my running technique. I run in vivobarefoots so there is barely any cushioning thus my running has to really be on technique.

    I used your G.1.M yesterday on 50 miles bike ride. I love it, didn't feel the bloating like I'm used to eat all gel, protein bars and water. Wow, a different between myself using the product versus my ride partner struggling with all his ride products. All I had was G.1.M. drink 30 minutes prior to the ride, on the ride 2 bottles with G.1.M , 2 water bottles and 2 chocolate cereal protein bars. I still had some energy in reserve. I wish that I had this product back February for my 50 miler Trail Race.. Excellent job in investing outstanding research and development on your supplements.

    You're not balancing anything, you just gave voice to the right thing to be healthy while doing sports. EVERY pro track & field athlete uses a lot of time in weekly schedule to weight lifting because it's the right way to do it. People usually think that they just run, and it's totally wrong. Good job from you spreading this REAL HEALTHY way to run

    For me the number 1 thing is recovery. When my recovery is perfect I can push my body to the limit and be back to do the same the next day....just an hour less sleep throws me off.
    Second is the balance of volume and intensity. I do extreme amounts of volume sometimes but never at a super intense level. I save that for 1 maybe 2 days a week. Never been injured and improve in both

    Can you do a before and after body/weight comparison from before you started training for your last marathon and now? You look so different!

    Hey man, wondering if you could make a video about breathing properly during your runs, I’m new to running and would love to hear some advice. Maybe how you control your breathing during runs, what you think about ect. You’re awesome thanks man!
