It was produced by Josh Leo recorded in Nashville in a studio financed and I believe owned by Warner Studios who at the time were using the absolute best production equipment which is why is sounds so clean for an older country album. I've always admired how well the entire album sounded compare to others of the same year and decade. They definitely created a "newness" to the sound that lives on through the ages.
