A) Find the Lagrangian of two particles whose potential depends only on the separation between them.
B) Transform to the Center of Mass coordinate and the relative coordinate of the two particles, and show how the reduced mass enters the equations of motion.
C) Find the equations of motion.

Nice. Goldstein defines r1 and r2 vectors as the displacement from the CM instead of from an arbitrary origin. But in any case r = r2 - r1 holds. Thanks.
