Why is the National Football League being held more accountable for police brutality than the Fraternal Order of Police?
RatchetCoon 💯💪🏽
People not blaming the league they just want the NFL to bring more awareness to the issue because they have a bigger platform....simple
Why can’t both be held accountable? The NFL takes the talent out of these neighborhoods and makes BILLIONS of dollars. One is saying the NFL is responsible but they can use their resources, platform and DOLLARS to help uplift the communities they seek talent from.,
Because the NFL sidelined the protesters who were protesting against police brutality. They did not support the protest infact the NFL protested against Colin
@@kingav9295 They don't take shit. People choose to play in those leagues. It amazes me how people who have never owned a business, try to dictate how a business should run their day to day operations.
This is why I respect Muhammad Ali always will have. He faught for something stood behind it and nearly lost it all. 💯 No one will ever outshine him if he was alive he would be very disappointed.
Ali had something only a few famous black had. Power. He knew he could say and do as he pleased because he had the power of influence over the masses. People still wanted to pay to see him. Marshawn Lynch been sitting during the anthem but he was their main source of income and had the power of influence so he can do as he pleases.

How the heck is this deal going to change whatever is going on in our urban communities??? It’s football 🤷🏽♂️
Silvio Perez at times players can go out in the communities and let kids know that drugs, gangs, guns, etc are not important. They don't do those things and they are successful men. I mean, it's a start. Sometimes you and your ideas grow together. Like Serena opened up a tennis court in Southeast D.C., she hasn't been back since, or her sister. They have to go back at some point or the kids won't get it. Same here, don't do something and stop, keep going and figure it out eventually.
To add to that...its not just football...its a platform. The NFL is a multi billion dollar organization that affects the nation. Not just football love. This is politics as usual.
@Silvio Perez that's what I said... This is football. How is "FOOTBALL" gon stop police killing niggas... Or any other serious issue... All I hear is the same thing so called back leaders say... Make the communities better... This is only to get the black consumer to buy back into the NFL..

After watching this video in its entirety, I’ve come to realize a couple of things. Business wise, it makes perfect sense for Jay-Z to strike this deal with the NFL. It represents a bigger platform for Jay-Z, Rocnation and it’s artists to broaden their exposure and to capitalize in this opportunity. My only issue is that he and the commissioner is trying to paint it as something else. The NFL’s only motive is finding a way to prevent players from protesting during games. Telling someone when and where he or she should protest is counterproductive, Jay-Z should understand that. The commissioner refuses to answer to what a player chooses to kneel in the future. I am so disappointed in all those media personalities that were at that “press conference” for not pressing him on that issue, with exception of 2 who posed that question. Roger Godell looks like a lesser version of donald trump so much to me its crazy asf .
Yet he sounds much more intelligent than Donald.
Cedric Torry II 🤣 lol but I like Donald. He means good just doesn't communicate in a tactical manner which is entertaining 😂😭 I had a friend from Boston who tells it like it is no filter.
I dont think yall heard jay say "I'm not the commissioner yet"
Nigga gaslighting
Shot game triggers: "Conversation", "What does it look like...?", "Right?", "So...", and "again". Now go get drunk :D

If you just left it to the politicians, you'd have MARSHALL LAW now!✊✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿
@@eje4794 I'm not saying that I'm just saying that overall it's not their job to do that enyce seems like the main narrative of this conference is political issueslike it's okay for them to take on those issues but it's not predominantly field a business like they shouldn't expect so much of Jay-Z in the concerning big political issues
Thank u
@@amenraquattrogoddason9405 I don't know about Jay-z and the NFL but it wasn't Muhammed Ali's either according to his owners, sorry BUSINESS PARTNERS the Louisville Sponsors Group!
@@eje4794 it wasn't Muhammad Ali's job but he felt like he wanted to take on that responsibility so more power to him it was plenty of other black athletes that weren't that vocal about discrimination against black people during that time...and you can't even use Muhammad Ali as a real example because that time it was a whole nother degree of racism going on
Critics can be positive and negative. LET'S GO WITH POSITIVE CRITICS...All actions start with positive communications. Jay and Roger are doing a great job talking, now let's see the end game. Change comes with communications. You have to pick your side of the coin. Music and NFL both have huge audiences, if they can't reach people then no one can.
What are you talking about? Roger has been in position to make change. Smh
What kind of boss Jay is.. @ 35:59
He will not leave you feeling like you've "over stepped" by shutting you down, when you were only doing your job that "they've" assigned you to do..
I like the support he'd displayed after seeing she'd felt out of place
A good look and I see why things get done by his team..
"The the the ROC 🎶" 💎
Jay Z came from the projects and he’s in that room talking change from within. On top of that cake, cake, cake, cake, cake he enters into another financial aspect. Don’t take credit away from what he’s doing. He’s putting myself into position to create, “unity and equality”. That’s huge for the world, point, blank, point.
Judge not less you be judge. Let's see where it goes before we jump to throw stones . The most effective change comes from within, not on the outside lookin in !!
He's a high paid DJ right now. Jay-Z can't afford to sit at tables with them, or even be in rooms with Jerry Jones, who is the king of this shit, an all out racist. Jay Z did his job and allowed the NFL to divide and conquer.
shut the fuck up n sit ur black ass down sumwhere n stay boutta adult talk

I can tell a lot of yall not approaching this with an open mind. Its foolish to rush judgement. Open your ears and listen clearly.
Well said
Listen clearly to what bruh? They're saying nothing of significance. Straight PR fluff. I did clearly hear a lot of laughter after Charlamagne's assertion that getting Kaepernick back onto a team would be the best social justice PR move of all. To which Jay-Z responded with a tacky ass wise crack. Smh.
baihu4u bro get out of your feelings and following the conversation. Talking about Kap is old news. There has to be some sort of ACTION. Kap took his multi million dollar deal from the NFL a few months ago. So why is Hov obligated to help this man get a job when he just cashed out?!? Emotional responses, that’s all everyone is giving. No REAL suggestions. we are passed kneeling. Ppl are aware of why he was kneeling....now what?! Get him his job back and now y’all will be pleased?! We gotta do better at filtering out the bullshit and getting to the core of things. Jay said it’s up to Kap to move forward. He’s a grown man.
@@MakeFreeFamous applause man! You said it best.
Mist'er Johnson brother, sometimes I get weirded out at how the majority of ppl think. So vulnerable and easily swayed. Positive vibes to you man
How is this venture beneficial to the fight against police brutality? Hov, his Roc Nation roster and the NFL are the only ones who stand to benefit. Crazy shit is Jay-z being involved is going to get a lot of its viewership back because people love Hov and think he's done a lot for the community. Everyone has ulterior motives and those who give to charities get more than they put in to begin with. Hov always been about his own. People forgot about the whole Barney's "shopping while Black" issue. Public outcry and all, Hov still kept his clothes in Barney's so this is no surprise. "Can I Live"
Seeing that man sit there with the commissioner of the NFL ....I just don’t have words,I see this a big deal even more so then Hov N Warren Buffet sitting together.NFL made some great stars of all shades, feed many families well for years.these two have long legendary legacies
jay z keep letting bro touch him on his leg that is crazy.
This is about money! Not integrity! Jay Z would not do this for Free! The NFL needed someone to get the black community to tap dance during the halftime shows! Smh.
Black Star Entertainment Facts on top of Facts👍
Seeming factual ..
jay?!?! You never leave a SOLDIER behind!! The commencement of the agreement has to have Kaep being employed.
I agree, with your statement Terrence.
Colin took a check a few months ago to not play and to be quiet. So he gets to take a check and still have Jay hire him?! There is no pleasing you ppl. Kap did this to himself
@@MakeFreeFamous wrong. The NFL settled so that they don't have to admit fault or air the dirty laundry that was sure to come out if this went to trial. Kap's hiring would have just been confirmation that there was collusion.
@@gogiste bro if he really wanted to play and if it was nout principle the him or eric reid don't settle. Kap should be in the league but like Jay said this has never been about Kap having a job. Je had one played not up to his standards and opted out of his contract to be a free agent, setting himself up to begin the blackball in tje 1st place.
gogiste bro that’s on Kap... he’s a grown man. He literally did this to himself. If your job asked you to stop posting political bulletins up around the job and you keep doing it, chances are, they’ll fire you. They urged that man to stop bringing unwanted attention to the league. He continued and he got cancelled. Now it was wrongful. No it’s just a touchy issue for a SPORT to have to deal with.
Fall for the same tricks/promises get the same results
Just be real jay z you got paid a bunch of bread to be the NFL DJ basically 🤷🏾♂️
everyone knows that interview didnt start with Charlamagne LOL. This video was trimmed & edited

seems like a win win. NFL got caught up in the American mess and Colin effectively got them to address it. I wish he would get a piece of this pie
damn how yall turn this shit n2 money when itz about our ppl being shoot down n the streets unarmed while they can bring n a mass shooter unharmed f he is white ?
He got a settlement in the amount that would have been a new contract with guaranteed money.
With all that being said... Jay, with you partnering with Mr. NFL and "trying to apprise us with your ambiguous reasoning as to why... will you hire Collin Kaepernick? He did nothing wrong as agreed and deserves to play again not to be blackballed. Martin Luther king, fought for a cause and Kaepernick is doing so as well.
Martin got legislation and acts passed. What laws did Colin please let me know
Lmao people are so simple mined
Kaepernick is too valuable of a man to be a football player. He will never have to work another day in his life. That's what he deserves.
Ta Ta in the background looking real sugary lol
Talk shit Sunday: What the FUC you mean this ain't 5 STAR Restaurant?- Expletive this Mc DONALD's.......lol..
From the very beginning, kneeling during a song performed at a football game was not going to be a very productive form of protest and it has proven to be just that: High Risk - Low Reward. This partnership probably won't be very productive, either, as for social justice. But what it potentially will do is paint the NFL in a good light surrounding the issue just as Nike has been painted in good light. And Jay-Z, intentionally or unintentionally, has turned this into a bad cop (Kap) good cop (Jay-Z) situation and will reap the benefits of playing the Good Cop role, favor withe the NFL, while Collin reaps the benefit of playing the bad cop, favor with the African-American Community and those who support it.
Apt analysis there garrett. You understand
It was a great gesture that wasn't taken up by his fellow players, imagine what would have happened if had been. Kill or be killed is one way but kneel and be seen is another. Consider the Samurai!✊✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿
@@eje4794 I imagine nothing would have happened because what could possibly come from taking a knee. Mere gestures are highly unlikely to garner the results you are looking for.
I want my wife to cook more. Do I and the kids take a knee during the theme song to her fave show or do something more drastic?
The time has come for Americans to own up to the fact, they value entertainment more than they do human life and nothing exemplifies this fact more than the reaction of the people, when Kaepernick took a knee at the super bowl & for (of all things) the illegal police killing of BLACK AMERICANS. You would have thought ALL AMERICANS would have understood this (as poor whites have died this way too) and immediately got behind it. The truth is, i think you guys would have, if it wasn't for the programming of BUSINESS AS USUAL. Image for an instance if all the football players had taken a knee at the same time as Kap, It would have resonated around the world and NO ONE could have stopped it! Not even the NFL!
AMERICANS KNOW REAL LIFE MATTERS MORE THAN ENTERTAINMENT...they just need to be reminded! ✊✊🏿
@@eje4794 I won't disagree with you that many don't care about the lives of others. In fact, I would go as far as to say no one cares about 100% of the lives on earth. Meaning there are some lives you don't care about and some I don't care about. So there, I agree with you.
However, I don't see what kneeling does. Something else would have to be done in addition to kneeling in order to get results.
I'd like to see the completely unedited version of the Press Conference.
Ditto
I was scrolling to see if I was the only one who caught the fact that this uploaded version--though unedited from this starting point--still doesn't show the very beginning of this press conference. It's kinda crazy b/c the clips on the news actually show excerpts that lead up to the beginning of this uploaded video...so we know that even with this the NFL + possibly Roc Nation as well doesn't want to show the events that happened from the beginning of this press conference leading up to the Charlamagne question. I haven't watched this uploaded video in its entirety yet but I believe those clips of Jay-Z being flustered by those questions about standing or kneeling came BEFORE the starting point of this uploaded video...and if that's the case, then that in itself just raises eyebrows. So much that should be addressed about this deal...I have so much respect for Jay as a mogul, artist and humanitarian but this move seems questionable and hypocritical. The phone call to Jermaine Dupri to not do the same exact deal. The fact that he's talking "action items" but no plan of action. The fact that he says he couldn't bring Colin into this deal (that may be possibly true but that one's up in the air). It's just a whole lotta questions and huge concerns. Hopefully there's an end game that overall really does improve social justice as well as gets Colin back on the field, and even includes JD...but right now those things and more seem like none of these subjects and all things related were never really even line items on the agenda to really be not only addressed but also resolved unfortunately. I'll watch this uploaded video in its entirety in the morning and hopefully I'll have a better understanding about this move that leads me to have a more positive outlook.

Video being fully released adds a level of transparency I wasn't sure we would receive. Kaep with no job still leaves a salty taste however this deal sounds promising if the right organizations receive funding (Black grassroots first and foremost).
Why did you guys not mic people properly, or subtitle the clip so audio of questions could be more clear?! Audio is so bad on this. Like, button up. This is important clarity.
