I wish these Power Poles’ were available when I was younger…. Instead of wrestling with anchors in the shallows and shifting tides. A no brainer buy. Great install technique Clay.
Thanks so much! They do make boating much easier.
I've installed a few of these and worked on them on various boats I've had. JL Marine(Power Pole) is top notch. If you have an issue, call them. They stand behind their product.
They have incredible customer service one of the many reasons I stand behind their product.
only 5 minute but content lot of information, just luv to see ur video bro........luv to see next video
Thank you so much 😀
Hi Clay, installed one on my 196 Bayreef two years ago using the outboard bracket same as yours. Best thing since apple pie and IMO worth their weight in gold. I have only a single pole but when in windy or tidal conditions I use the anchor lock on the trolling motor with the PP to hold my position and it works well. I also read in my research that Power Poles customer was excellent. Hopefully I never need to find out.
It really is a great invention. It’s made boating more pleasant when it comes to pulling out the anchor.
That’s actually what we use to do when we had one pole installed.
Pretty cool that Pathfinder pre-wires for installing the pump.
Yeah it made things easier . Thanks for watching!
Nice video Clay we all enjoy your videos, they never disappoint us thank you and good luck with your channel.

I love watching your videos your the best boat RUclipsrs

Pliers really omg Clay you are going to get blasted for that ! 😂 but in all reality if it works it works !
LOL, I cringed at that too. But we are all here to learn and grow! Please use the right size wrench. Other then that the install looks awesome!!
lol! It was the closet thing to me. Hahah it did the trick.
@LifeByTheBow Just tell us you got the right size wrench now. And by all means, I'll be more than happy to go there to help for exchange for a fishing trip. I'll pay for the bait!!! 🤣
Another great video Clay keep up the great content I'm positive that these videos you are creating are doing a fabulous job for the new and old guy's that are getting into boating or have been for some time say hi to Stephanie for us.😎👍🤙💪
Thanks so much for the words of encouragement. Glad to see your enjoying the channel!
Capt Clay you are the best. Good job
Thanks so much Parfait!
Thank you for every thing thanks
Thank you for taking the time to comment & support!
Omg Clay, pliers to tighten the nuts???? Where's your open end wrenches??? Just wait to the baby comes along, and ya really start making goofs? 😀😀😀
Haha! It worked lol. I hope not haha.
Is a jack plate required for install on the transom? I agree that the fewest amount of holes in the boat is ideal. I’m considering 2x10’ blades on a 2018 Carolina Skiff 238 DLV.
Yes it is required if you want to mount it without putting holes in your transom. Thanks for watching!
Now there is a version with 2 poles and 1 pump, all in one box.
Thank you!
Thanks! Great quick video. How’s the fishing been? Anything running right now?
Thank you! Fishing has been hit or miss along with the weather.
Hi Clay, what are your thoughts on the minn kota raptors, compared to power poles? That active anchoring feature is really catching my eye, especially when at the sandbars, fluctuating tides and even waves at sandbars. Interested to hear your thoughts
Hey man! I don’t have experience with the Minn Kota anchors but power pole has always had exceptional customer service.
The Raptor is just a knock off of the Powerpole. If you've ever done business with the Powerpole manufacturer, you'll know they have the best service response in fishing, hands down. Their service is a huge reason why I am still using these today and I was one of the first to install one for saltwater in this area. I broke a knuckle once when a large wake pushed me to the side while the pole was deployed over a shell bed, and the company sent me a new one and hardware at no charge, and I wasn't even remotely within the warranty period. Others have the same experience. Not saying anything negative about Minn Kota, they are a well established company and I use their Terrova with anchoring, but the Powerpole changed how I fish and as long as they stay true to their business model, I'll continue to use them.
Do you do fishing charters?
We don’t as of now but you never know what the future holds.
Clay, you didn't say, but are those metric pliers or S.A.E.? Want to make sure I use the right set of pliers.
Nice professional crimpers though.
Haha thanks for watching.
i can't believe they don't bend.
They have some flex to them.
What is a boat?
Thanks so much for watching!
What size power poles are they?
