Back when I was younger I was a taxi driver here in the UK. You could do a series of videos on the weird and freaky experiences I had, I learned that there are a LOT of strange folks out there.
I went on a night out with friends we joint of a taxi, i was the last one in the taxi and the driver locked the door and refused to let me out until i gave him my number. I gave him it and he rang it to make sure i gave him the real number, i changed my sim card and number the next day. This was in the days before uber
Time-Release Adderall! I used to take the prescription that I had to take multiple times a day, and I also felt the crash, and the eventual need to raise the dosage. However, time-release, or extended-release, is one pill a day, and I don't feel a crash! This might be worth asking your psychiatrist about!
Safety tips for riding uber alone: 1. Before getting into the car, take a picture of it (including license plate and driver if possible) and send it to a friend. 2. Call a friend as soon as you get into the car and say, "oh, yeah, im just leaving from so and so, should be there in X minutes". Alerts the driver that you have someone waiting for you. 3. Carry pepper spray, a knife, or whatever self defense tool works best for you. 4. If you arent able to call a friend and be on the phone with them during the ride, then dial 911 on your phone and keep your finger ready to hit connect. That way, if anything happens, you arent scrambling to dial it. Also, emergency services have ways of pinging your phone to get a location so, even if you arent able to talk, just calling helps 5. Stay alert of your surroundings. Dont put headphones in, dont scroll on your phone. Pay attention to where you are (roadsigns, etc) so if you do end up calling for help, for any reason, you can give responders a better description of where you are 6. If the driver picking you from / dropping you off at your home asks if you live there, say "nah, just visiting a friend / my boyfriend". Dont let them know you live there and definitely do not tell them you live alone. Its okay to lie when your safety is at stake Stay safe out there ❤
OMG... LOVE THE CAT!!! Seriously! we will sit here and watch you do some loving on Kitty, till he's happy! then carry on reading! Kitty comes 1st and I love seeing them ^_^
not on adderall BUT i’m on lexapro and yes my body adjusted overtime. i was on 10mg for awhile but 20mg is perfect for me. i know people who were on 5mg , went to 10, then 20 but had to adjust to 15 so i imagine it’s the same for every medication. it takes time !!
That story of the uber driver telling his passenger about his wife's unfaithfulness sounds so creepy. That's horrible that the driver had been drinking. Totally defeats the uber purpose. The more I hear about creepy uber drivers, the safer I feel it is to walk alone.
I drove for Uber/Lyft for 3 years and really lucked out with my passengers except for one on Halloween. This guy ordered an uber and I accepted it. I noticed there was a 2 order pick up. I pick the first guy up and he tells me we’re picking up his friend and I say no problem. We get to the second pick up and his friend isn’t there. We wait a bit while he gets in touch with his very drunk friend who doesn’t know his butt from his elbow. This dude has me drive around for 10 min looking for this guy. I was so annoyed!! I tell the first guy I picked up that I’m not driving around anymore on a wild goose chase for his friend. He starts getting annoyed with me then his friend finally gets in my car. I’m driving him and I hear the first guy talking shit. So being me- I don’t take shit from people so I tell him, “if you have something to say just say it”. He mumbles some bs about me being annoyed and he’s a paying me for the ride so I pulled over and told them to get out. Then I reported him to Uber
Absolutely I'm going through the same thing once you find something that works you won't have to do that anymore. I'm on a few meds for a few diagnoses and I'm only still working on getting my most recent ones adjusted 2 have been the same for over a decade
Sending lots of love to you Courtney ma guuurrll!😂🫶🏻🥰 pleasee keep the uploads more frequent with more like these and tik tok videos! Love your videos queen 🫵🏻🤘🏻
I dont have ADHD but I do have ADD I have stopped taking my meds but if you feel its not enough of a dosage I would ask your psychiatrist or doctor if you need to take a higher dosage always best to ask not just about meds but always ask questions no matter what. I hope you find a dosage that'll help
I had to get more dose raised 2 or 3 times before I got something that worked well for me and I've been on the same dose now for 6/7months but it could help if you switch around the time you take them.. I take my main 2 when I wake up and then short quick acting ones in late morning and around 3pm
Hi Courtney , I take Adderall as well for an attentive ADHD. I only take one a day but you said you broke yours up so I’m assuming yours is a little bit different because mine are like the actual capsules so you can’t really break them up but your body should find that one dosage that works for it every now and then you may have to increase it or decrease it. It just depends, but it takes at least a month and a half if not longer for your body to get used to it, but definitely talk with your psychiatrist, and keep them informed because that has been a big part of helping me get mine regulated. I was also on Vyvanse prior to switching to Adderall and the only reason that I switched was because of insurance is on the lowest but had to go up because it just wasn’t working anymore. So that’s normal. But always always reach out to your psychiatrist. If you have any questions or concerns because they are literally like our Way of staying sanein a way
i constantly have to raise my meds too but soon your body should adjust to a certain dose and if you find out how much the dosage is that helps you the most, you should definitely try to tell your psychiatrist that you feel that dosage is perfectly aligned to your body (and mind.)
AuDHD here! I've tried a bunch of different medications, but I'm extremely sensitive and tend to get horrendous side effects even at low doses. I've tried just about everything available: stimulants, non-stimulants, short-acting, modified release. I've tried medication you need to take every day to maintain in your system and I've tried medication you only take 'as needed' with med breaks on days off, and just about every combination that's possible. My husband also has ADHD and we have a lot of friends who're neurodivergent. The thing about medication is that you have your 'immediate reaction', which you'll notice in the first few weeks of taking a new medication, and then you'll have your long-term side effects that start to kick in after a few months. Sometimes this means a medication that worked really well at first just stops working and you need to adjust to a therapeutic dose. Sometimes that means that suddenly you'll get hit with intolerable side effects that mean you need to come off the medication and try something new. Outside factors can also impact this. I've had meds that worked great for years and then I caught covid and suddenly I can't take that medication any more. I've had meds that worked great for a while but then when I started a job that required nightshift the medication was no longer appropriate. I've also had to change ADHD meds in response to changes in other medication. And that's before you consider tolerance - yes, over time your body will adjust to the medication and the dose might need to be adjusted. It really is a journey to figure out the right balance of medications and techniques that'll work for your brain specifically. Some people are lucky and they find the thing that changes their life right away, and for others it takes a while and requires constant monitoring and adjustment. We're hardwired for impatience, so "trust the process and be gentle with your expectations" is easier said than done. But it's the truth.
I’m not adhd but my partner is and I work with adhd students. (I am neurodivergent tho). It should plateau! Same as like mental health meds where you might change / increase dose a few times till you’re settled. I would also recommend asking for a slow release version. It sounds like you’re on a fast release (which is why you have the up and downs) and a slow release might suit you better x
I’ve been on the same dosage of adderal for years. When initially diagnosed it was a little less than current and stable dosage I’ve now had for years. My psychiatrist advised me to only take the medication when I have a project or I am doing work and to work day or two of breaks into the routine to avoid the tolerance concerns you’re experiencing. I think it’s the healthiest and smartest way to use the medication as it does have some serious side effects. I typically take it 5 days a week and just try my best to manage my ADHD symptoms on the weekend w/o medication.
I feel that. Shock will get you stuck in a bad situation. Don't beat yourself up, but also remember that you are important. Courtney's built a pretty tight Community here and we would miss you if some wrong lyft driver dumped you in a field. 10:03 😊❤
For ADHD meds ask your doctor about extended release! It’s just one pill in the morning and you don’t have to take anymore throughout the day. I would also say if it isn’t working as effective then definitely getting it raised. And for me I found a dose that works for me! But definitely recommend the extended release
I know things are different in other places but I'm in Canada and whenever I give a bad rating to an Uber driver or delivery person, I get told I won't be paired with them anymore and either given a refund and/or like, 5$ credit as well. 😮
Got damn it took so much for me to get the comment box, just so I can add that RIGHT NOW I'm currently sitting in the back of a Lyft, omw to pick up my car from the shop 😅😅😅
The first time I’ve used uber/lyft back in 2017 - (just got back from the Philippines from College) I was going home from a date. I was tipsy at this point since the date we were at the bar. I remember flashes from the Lyft drive. But he was like “you’re so cute. Bet you’re just getting back from a good time. Maybe you can show me a good time” then he literally ends my ride and parks the car in an unknown neighborhood. Keep in mind I was tipsy but not drunk. I was able to push him away and I ran/stumbled away. I had to call my friend to pick me up, crying. My brain actually blocked this memory from me for so long. Sometimes I remember it and get so triggered. I didn’t report it and I know I should have. But I just froze. And I hate how I handled this situation.
with my medication, i had to raise the dosage until i found the right dosage for me. it varies from person to person and medication to medication. it's just a matter of experimenting with different medications and dosages!
Are you taking the extended release?? Those are much better for many ppl. It’s also good if you can go a day or 2 a week without the Adderall, that’s good & you won’t build up a tolerance as quickly. Wish you the best! (I just saw many ppl have said the same.. Lol)
Everything that you said about your medication and whatnot is 100% accurate with what I know for myself and my children. We choose to not take our ADHD medication on days that we know that we are going to be at home and have absolutely nothing to do and is are just chill day that helps us keep from our dosage going up and up and your body does get used to the medication but at some point you do find a dosage that is comfortable for you to sit at for a long time if not for however long the foreseeable future Maybe . Just listen to your body and your intuition and then just communicate that with your psych doctor and you'll be great
For ADHD meds I can say I have tried a lot of them and they don't do anything so I went through Genetic testing to see what works with my body. Maybe you should do that before you go through trial and error as much as I have. I know you said it was working but if you feel like it's not anymore ask about going through that
Here in Canada, or maybe just my city I'm not sure, but people have shittier luck with taxi drivers. They can be pretty sus/dangerous/creepy. I'm lucky enough to not have had anyone terrible yet, so I'm crossing my fingers it stays that way.
Never trust random men. One of my friends was in a relationship with a guy that flirted with her when she worked n they started dating she then ended up relying on him for help and housing ect.... Big mistake 😭 he turned out to be rly abusive n after she escaped he is now back at it trying to lure in someone new, and the police to my knowledge aren't doing anything......
Your body will get used to medication dosage at some point. Could be that they weren't strong enough or just not the right fit . Other medications could have a key factor in it as well. Once you get it sorted out, you'll be good. ADHD, Ellie
My son has been on meds for his adhd for now a year n a half, since then he's tried 3 different doses/was to take them. Right now we are on half a extended release in the ams, and 1/2 a quick release in the afternoon I'm thinking we are going to have to flip them before everything ends up completely evening out tho. It's sadly all tial and error but eventually you'll get what works for u and it'll be worth jt
Ya. Once in a while uber does have someone pick you up in a truck. I've maybe gotten an uber in a truck once, but most of them are cars or SUVs. Never had any bad experiences with uber, but I totally get the delivering. I had to ask for a refund for a case of water and a water jug from walmart recently, because Walmart driver left it on the curb, I'm not sure which curb in my complex here, and when I got home I couldn't find it, so I'm gonna have to get it myself in store when I get a chance. It takes a few minutes to get out of the vehicle and put it right in front of my door like I ask. That was uncalled for. I think because they left it on the curb, someone around here thought it was free water and walked off with it before I got home. 🤦♀
On the medication part, ask about an extended release version that has less of a high and crash usually
this is what i was going to suggest!

Being able to picture EXACTLY where the first story takes place makes me want to vomit… that’s actually so scary. Those roads are WINDY and dark.
Courrtttt I wanna see how you've decorated !!! ❤❤❤
I used to live near there in Oregon city that surrounding area is kind of freaky for a woman to go alone. Yes don’t feel bad for reporting
That story of the uber driver telling his passenger about his wife's unfaithfulness sounds so creepy. That's horrible that the driver had been drinking. Totally defeats the uber purpose. The more I hear about creepy uber drivers, the safer I feel it is to walk alone.

You can also request Uber to never be connected with specific drivers ever again. Something I’ve requested several times and has worked it seems
not me yelling PET HIM! as your cats walk by
I split one of my meds too. It helps a lot. ❤❤ glad you’re doing well. ❤❤❤
OMG!!! I am never taking an Uber or a Lyft ever again 🥺😳
Never feel bad if someone is making you uncomfortable. It's not your fault. 😊❤

Trying different doses is a good step. There are also other adhd meds for you and some have extended release options
i’m not a fan of adderall so i take modafinil instead.
Courtney where is the camo zip up from?! It’s so cute!
Just in time
I feel that. Shock will get you stuck in a bad situation. Don't beat yourself up, but also remember that you are important. Courtney's built a pretty tight Community here and we would miss you if some wrong lyft driver dumped you in a field. 10:03 😊❤

Hi yall and cjades 😎🎧
before i realized your cat's name is Gnar I thought you'd just randomly say No but in an Australian accent. Like "Naurrrr !"
with my medication, i had to raise the dosage until i found the right dosage for me. it varies from person to person and medication to medication. it's just a matter of experimenting with different medications and dosages!
I find sweet spots for a while and then life changes and I have different demands so I just kinda go up and down every few years
I love these videos 🙂↕️
Love this girl 😁✌️❤️
Nar: Mom? Mooom? Mooom? Mother? Mama? Mum? Mummy? I require attention. Please? Please?

I work with SA survivors . Let me just say, it’s not safe for women to take an Uber alone. Uber doesn’t do a thorough enough background check IMO.
hehehe hi coach
Re adhd. If u drink with it .. mess don't work as well. I'm trying to fund adderall at my pharmacies so I'm unmedicated
Frickin Gnar 🤣🤣🥰🥰🥰

Your body will get used to medication dosage at some point. Could be that they weren't strong enough or just not the right fit . Other medications could have a key factor in it as well. Once you get it sorted out, you'll be good.

Hi, Gnar!!! Sweet baby! 😊❤
Why did they take an Uber to McDonald's instead of just having it delivered to them?
I hate when guys prey on women the women is a customer, there's no need for stuff like that
Early😝😝😝
