Does it matter? Sounds to me like you're just trying to get a controversy going. Just leave it alone. Let's support the new actor that took Yoshi's place and let's wish Yoshi well and successful for whatever he chooses to do.
Yes it does matter. It matters because people loved Yoshi in his role that he played. When the character of any show becomes beloved, EVERYONE WANTS TO KNOW WHY THAT CHARACTER WAS SUDDENLY LET GO. That's how it is with every single show where there is a character that becomes beloved. Everyone remembers that specific character that character is forever in their minds. That's why it matters.😎
I agree with the comments by another who states that it doesn’t matter. Unless we are considering Yoshi for a position or role, it’s none of our business. Will we miss him? Absolutely. We should just wish him well with his future endeavors & move on as he has done.
The Chosen continues to inspire me season after season. It looks like season 4 is full of so many of the hard things Christ and His disciples had to endure. Thank you for your work and for the blessing it is to so many!
Speculation ALWAYS breeds discontentment and misunderstanding. Since you don't KNOW why Yosi left it would have been so much better to leave things along.
I don't understand. Actors drop out of films and leave television projects all the time. I would assume that The Chosen doesn't have a bunch of contractual obligations since its not under a studio. No one seemed to mind or even notice when the original Big James did not come back for Season two. Whatever the case, I liked the actor as Phillip and think he did a marvelous job. May God bless him on his future endeavors.
I think to speculate is just gossip and feeds hate. I would rather promote love compassion and caring. I pray he continues to bless people he is a good actor. And the chosen touches lives. I am thankful for both.
In March, Yoshi will be a star of a movie called Forty Seven days with Jesus. It must be a scheduling conflict with many projects going on for him. Good for him. I am happy for him. As long as he keeps his faith in God, I don’t have any problem. He is a natural actor!!
I still miss Yoshi. I loved him from the very beginning when he first came on scene. God bless you wherever you go in this life. I hope you are happy. You are missed by me. I am a huge fan of yours. Many more happy acting promotions for you! Thanks for treating Matthew with TLC. May blessings abound in your life.🙏☝️🙌🕊🤍🕊 Sincerely, Marilynn (a true fan) His peace be with you. In the wonderful Name of Jesus I pray, amen. 🔥
It’s not our right to know why someone makes choices in thier personal or professional lives. He’s an actor who is hired to do a job whether we “like” their performance or not. If he chooses to reveal that choice is HIS choice
I really like the new actor that plays Phillip! Yoshi was not my favorite. In fact, to me, Yoshi sometimes confused me because I had to look twice to see if it was him or Jonathan some times in some scenes at first glimpse! This was such a a distraction to me.
We want Yoshi back! He played his role so well, and this is a disturbance in the overall show harmony! We funded the show and the director should take this in consideration..
We have to remember that RUclips creators will milk a story for all it's worth regardless of the useless nature of conjecture. We all love Yoshi He added something tremendous to the part and we pray his future endeavors are successful and blessed. The Chosen is such a great show I can't wait for next season to begin!👏🙏👍
Couldn't agree more with these comments, enough speculation. This "stirring up" why he's gone serves NO purpose. I will miss him, really enjoyed his portrayal of Phillip and wish him great success in his career. Enough said!
Yoshi's portrayal of Philip gave me a new perspective to explore. His lines opened up possibilities in my life that gave me peace. There is a season for everything, and God is in control, but this is one change I wish didn't happen. But I trust God, and Yoshi, I'm praying for you brother!
I will miss Yoshi. He is a great actor and I thought he gave The Chosen all he had. I don't know anything about hollywood, and am happy with that. I wish him well. I just really don't like when a project, like this one, we fall in love with the characters, and by association, the actors. This to me makes a hole in the story. I hope it doesn't affect my journey. I'll leave it with this, the creator for the chosen had responsibilities much like Jesus. To choose those that will carry the message. I hope I can follow along and not look at it as only 11 apostles and one standin.
@@williamburt1378 But that doesn't mean that is any of our business and that we are due an explanation. It's just gossip to speculate. If Yoshi had wanted people to know why he was no longer involved with the show, he would have said why, and he hasn't.
you are just exaggerating the whole thing. His filming of his new project just coincided with the filming as well of The Chosen. There was no more time to revise scripts or adjust his character appearance. They had to get a new Philip which both parties agreed.
I binge watched all 3 seasons of The Chosen twice in the past 2-3 weeks. I love everyone who portrays each character in The Chosen! Exceptionally great actors. I'm 69 yrs. old and through this show have learned so much! Yoshi was one of my favorites because he brought a little something different...his adorable, sort of funny quirks. Yoshi you will be missed! Best of luck to you and your future endeavors! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🥰
He was my favorite, probably because his character was kind to Matthew. Whatever the reason, I missed his portray of Philip in Season 4. Good luck, Yoshi. You're an amazing actor!
Well people change and everybody has their differences and everybody makes their own choices... and every action has a re-action. I'm not much bothered about anything. Yoshi is a great actor and I love his personality...If it's time to move on to the next level ... so it will be and the next Phillip will also be a lovely actor . Dallas is a gifted person and I just love and enjoy the CHOSEN❤
Personally, I don’t care why Yoshi left. I’m sure he had good reason and we just need to accept that. We now have a new actor in that position and we need to support him. Actors come and go for whatever reason that’s their choice. Let’s honor it.
I agree with LISAD… It doesn’t matter why he left the show. We wish Yoshi the best and we should support the new actor who is now playing Philip… period.
When I first saw him on the Chosen. I didn’t know who he was at first, and I looked at him walking over to the apostles from the field, and I actually thought he looked like Jesus it was confusing. So he probably would be a good Jesus, because he looks similar so I don’t know what happened, but he’s allowed to make his decisions to what he wants to do. Obviously, we wish him well.
Yoshi was wonderful in his role he played in The Chosen. He could play Jesus as well. But there can only be one Jesus in the Chosen and we know Jonathan Roumie is the only one . I hope to see Yoshi in future movies, as he is an exceptional actor.
I don't think it matters. Being let go doesn't mean "fired". I saw a post from an interview with Yoshi that he had back problems which caused too much pain on a daily basis. That is probably why he was in the hospital so much and why it was a mutual decision to let him go.
id love to watch him as Jesus... Johnathan plays the part extraordinarily and way above expectations.. brilliant actor.. but it doesnt mean Yoshi cant play the part in someone else's production.. but it could of waited till the chosen finished... but then again Johnathan did play a part in the Jesus revolution movie.. they are still actors needing to earn money too.. but with the chosen still in progress, he could of waited or passed up the role maybe? I will miss him, but as big James was changed in season 2, we fell in love with the 2nd one... but please no-more switches... if possible.. ✨🥀 Yoshi, your still my favourite..
Don’t let The Enemy into this situation. Yoshi is a successful actor bc he has been blessed by God to have this talent wherever he decide’s to work & use his God given talent to praise God! After all…Jesus is the reason for each season of The Chosen❣️ To God be the Glory for the Message of the show that is what really matter’s!! Thank you to all those who bring the message of Jesus’ saving grace & forgiveness to all of us as sinner’s lost w/o Him but, found for all Eternity w/Him❣️☝🏼🙏🏼
I was just in jail and the chosen moved my heart. Also a lot of others in jail. Jesus hung around the people that actually needed him. God is the judge no human cant look at someones heart. Thats why God is God. These are the tricks of satan to get people away from Jesus and God. All casting stones because they are "holier that Christ".
This series is more than just a show. If I was working on this show. Pride, greed etc. Would be the furthest thing from my mind. Whoever wants to be first must be last of all and servant of all.
I will really miss Yoshi. I didn't realize others felt the same way. I don't understand why he wasn't allowed to "moonlight," since even Jonathan Roumie moonlighted as Lonnie Frisbee in "The Jesus Revolution" film. Whatever the reason for Yoshi's leaving the show, he has left some big shoes to fill. As Philip, he was by far my favorite disciple. God bless him.
Yoshi left to play Jesus in another production. Jonathan played a modern-day person, not Jesus, in another production. There's a difference. Most acting contracts have a non-compete clause against playing similar characters for a certain length of time (except for California, which has ruled against them).
I was watching Jason Sobel's series on TBN about Abba's moedim when suddenly in a sidebar there's Yoshi as Yeshua! Oy! So I figured this must've been why he left, he is now the head over the apostles though personally he was top shelf as Philip and I wish he had remained in that role ...
people come and go in all professions. I see it all the time. It doesn't mean there is an issue that is wrong. People move on to other positions. life changes. Health issues. He is an actor and I respect what he needed to do and I respect the chosen production and actors. I don't need to watch this stuff anymore. I will continue to watch the Chosen and I respect people's decisions. Plus I see Yoshi is doing another film, which is wonderful.
I loved Yoshi as Phillip and I miss him , although I have watched several of his podcasts after and they were horrible, so I think it was more a personal decision than a professional one. because if he left to do those it was a big mistake,

I saw a video of the cast on a stage after the feeding of the 5000 and Yoshi used the f word to get the crowd to chant. As Christians and with young children there, I would have fired him for that. Is that the reason, don't know but I do miss him. Reza just isn't animated.

He said why he was leaving! It was up to Yoshi to explain, I think!
Its unfortunate...he is an exceptionally good actor as they all are. I wish Good fortune to him.
I Loved his acting. He really played the part. May he increase in his way forward and may our God keep him in His blessing.
I agree with the comments by another who states that it doesn’t matter. Unless we are considering Yoshi for a position or role, it’s none of our business. Will we miss him? Absolutely. We should just wish him well with his future endeavors & move on as he has done.
Just let this be. Its sad he's gone, I miss him but we just need to focus on the story of Jesus! 🙏🙏🙏
He was by far the most mature and charismatic out of all of the Disciples
It really doesn’t matter, we love Yoshi and wish him the best in his new project .
The Chosen continues to inspire me season after season. It looks like season 4 is full of so many of the hard things Christ and His disciples had to endure. Thank you for your work and for the blessing it is to so many!
trailer looks terrifying, expecting dark Old Testament flashbacks
I will miss him playing Phillip.😢 Love his acting. Just let it be... good luck Yoshi. God Bless you.🙏
Speculation ALWAYS breeds discontentment and misunderstanding. Since you don't KNOW why Yosi left it would have been so much better to leave things along.

If Yoshi wanted people to know why he left, he would have told us.
Indeed ❤
It's publicly-available information that Yoshi left to play Jesus in another production.
if so that's great@@kimartist

I really liked Yoshi as Phillip and I'm sorry that he's not returning. Oh well, best of luck to him😢
Your title seems deceptive. You didn’t reveal any shocking truths.
Good to know thx. I won’t watch the whole thing now that I know lol thx again 😂
I still miss Yoshi.
I loved him from the very beginning when he first came on scene.
God bless you wherever you go in this life. I hope you are happy.

I agree. They are actors playing a role., That’s all. I liked him a lot and wish him well, Let’s welcome his substitute.

It’s sad on both parties! Both are good! They can keep personal reasons to themselves because God knows the reasoning. We don’t have to!❤

Making multiple videos of this means this channel is just stirring up trouble for hits on YT.
It doesn't matter....the Lord will work it through, regardless of why he left....Dallas doesn't owe explanation, neither does Yoshi❤
Who thought any explanation was needed? Why manufacture a controversy where one doesn't exist?
When good actors are replaced without explanation, it naturally raises questions.

He was my favorite, probably because his character was kind to Matthew. Whatever the reason, I missed his portray of Philip in Season 4. Good luck, Yoshi. You're an amazing actor!
he was one of my favorites because of his enthusiasm, he seemed excited about everything. and him being accepting to matthew was a plus.

Karen here. Also the erratic Schedule on the Chosen and a lot of physical challenges from the weather could have greatly affected Yoshi's health
We would have figured that out
So it’s all speculation and it’s not our business. Respect.
QUIT SPECULATING AND THROWING HATE AND DIVISION INTO THE WORLD! THATS WHAT YOU ARE DOING❤

At the end of the day, it's a job, and it's a JOB like any other. People will quit, fired, etc
Saying “let him go” is very telling. Dallas did t say “see him go” but “LET” him go. This sounds like termination or a mutual resignation to me.
This series is more than just a show. If I was working on this show. Pride, greed etc. Would be the furthest thing from my mind. Whoever wants to be first must be last of all and servant of all.
You might want to talk to Yoshi instead of about him?
Ah, yes
I think this is just more speculation .
Yoshi will always be one of my favorite characters. I will miss him and hope the best for journeys down the line.

I loved him as this character. I love this show also but it is not perfect and I'm afraid this will go down as one of the biggest mistakes.
Phillip and Matthew WERE PURE GOLD!
CLICK BAIT - she only asks questions and asks YOU for the answers
I don't intend to guess why he's not part of the show anymore.
I want to know the facts first. I do not want to rely on theories.
The new Philip didn't seem very comfortable in his role in S04E01-03. Big sad.
If no one knows for sure, what good is our opinion??. Let Yoshi go to do what is best for him.
Dallas doesn’t owe anyone anything. Ur making this bigger issue

He was MY favorite disciple in this show.
I loved Yoshi as Phillip and I miss him , although I have watched several of his podcasts after and they were horrible, so I think it was more a personal decision than a professional one. because if he left to do those it was a big mistake,
It is none of my business to give my impression on this.
He was a good actor and I wish him all the best in his next step.
I don’t think it is any business to anyone for his reason for leaving ,it is wrong to talk about people and their own personal issues, good luck to the new actor taking his place
Asking questions like this is gossip to me. Let it go. I know that God is in control.
He was my favourite disciple
I thought he was an exceptional actor. He did a great job with his role as Phillip. Too bad he’s leaving, whatever the reason.
Clickbate! The "shocking" truth was not revealed!
Let it be our God will deal with this! Toshiba isn’t the only actor ; will pray that only success comes his way.🙏🏻
It’s really none of your business. Go watch him in other media.
This is a great illustration of being distracted by the so called "celebrity status" of those who play each character in the show. It always bothered me seeing fan pages on FB and the like. The show is about the gospel and about Jesus and His disciples, not about the actors who are playing the characters... we should refocus on the story of the gospel, God's word and the achievement of Jesus in redeeming us from our sins and transgressions.
And living as Christ for all.
The BEST MOVIE OF ALL TIMES about the life of our Lord Jesus Christ has been and ALWAYS will be:
💒JESUS OF NAZARETH!!!💒🙏❤🙏
All we need are the facts ❤
Yoshi en su papel de Felipe es irrempazable, era uno de los favoritos. Tendrian que haber llegado a un acuerdo, y que él siguiera. Es una gran pérdida para The Chosen...😓
I totally miss the Philip Oshi on the chosen they won’t be anything like him and nobody could play that part as well as him so I have to watch him on other movies that he makes 47 days with Jesus is one that came out this week. I’m gonna check that out.
He's the wisest person on the show. He left...
Just as long as Yoshi is still with Mario, I'm good.
who cares? Let him go....he's an actor he's not actually Phillip!!!! He did great while portraying the role. Leave it at that.
He was my favorite and I'm saddened that they can't just get along
✟
It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22 (KJV)
Yoshi didn't die for your sins. He got shit canned for being a ham actor
Too bad it didn't work out for Yoshi. But now we need to let go and move on with the new actor in The Chosen.
Leave it alone, he has gone🙏
And though I like all the actors in the Chosen, he was not my favorite, if I even have a favorite.
It’s best to appreciate each actor as they appear in their scenes and what they are trying to tell us about how they perceive things were when they happened in real life.
Why get hung up on the comings and goings? It’s the content that matters. We will learn to become fond of watching whoever they hire most likely.
Let it go already! None of our business!
Allowed to break contract. He's playing Jesus for another studio production
most likely
I’ve never ever heard anyone say Philip was their fave apostle… I mean you hardly knew he was even on the show. Which might have something to do with him being unhappy not getting more airtime. No one has even noticed it’s a different actor. Sheesh
BTW Matthew seems to be most people’s fave. Just sayin’
Spirit of yealousy over popularity ? NO ONE can easily do as good as Jonathan Rumie ❤❤❤
It doesn't matter to anyone else the reason. Let it be.
Unless you talk directly to Yoshi and Dallas you should not be talking about this.
Amen and amen. Its not our business. God and being Christ to and for others needs to be our ONLY business!
I saw a video of the cast on a stage after the feeding of the 5000 and Yoshi used the f word to get the crowd to chant. As Christians and with young children there, I would have fired him for that. Is that the reason, don't know but I do miss him. Reza just isn't animated.
Hmmm, I don't think that's a good enough reason but we may never know
