    Sam you are the man! Your videos are so valuable even in different contexts outside of sports. Keep up the good work mate.

    Selective caring is essential to me because it helps me focus and put all my energy into the important things instead of wasting valuable time and energy on something that really does not matter in the long run. Doing this will help anyone improve, Great video.

      Don't give up on something you love just because it hasn't worked out yet-sometimes success takes more time and different approaches. Consider seeking feedback from coaches to identify areas for improvement or try other ways to showcase your talent, like joining a different league.

    Can I ask; I want to improve my speaking/presenting skills as a U16 Academy Head Coach, therefore look to attend public speaking and/or improv classes to develop… dose this count as time away or will this continue to develop burnout (caring too much)? Many thanks ❤️

    • @SamMartinPeakPerformance
      @SamMartinPeakPerformance  4 месяца назад +1

      improv classes would be great. Cause with something like that, I doubt you'll be talking about sport etc. And of course, it's then a great transferrable skill. I'd say go for it!

    I just got invited to a football/soccer tournament. Im really nervous because I normally play alone and not in a team, so I know individually I am good, but in a team idk.
    Not just that, Im also nervous about missing an open shot or something like that. This video really helped thx

      Don’t worry i was in this position, you will learn! but just know that you will still make mistakes like everyone does and that’s ok so u have to be ok with that. also something that might help is watching soccer games so u czn see what they do as a team

    Sir i am noticing one thing that i perfrom ceratin kind of skill very well when my coach is not around.when my coach is around i dont get nervous but wants to prove that how good i am at that skill and always make silly mistakes in front of him. Its been months my question is why and what should i do.

    • @SamMartinPeakPerformance
      @SamMartinPeakPerformance  4 месяца назад +2

      Sounds like you're feeling pressured to perform perfectly when your coach is watching, which leads to overthinking and mistakes. To overcome this, focus on the process rather than trying to prove yourself-trust your training and practice as if your coach isn’t there.
