"Chewing the Scenery" is a way to refer to an actor over-acting to the point of ruining a scene. This often results in the scene becoming extremely silly, making you unable to take it or the actor seriously, which makes it a lot harder to become invested in the plot of a movie or series.

In a review by sfdebris, the movie is said to have cost more than the entire lord of the rings trilogy, he went into a lot of the back story of how this movie was made. Apparently the movie was shot with a "Dutch angle" to make it feel more like a comic book, I don't think they ever opened a comic book.
So here's the thing with this movie: it's based off a book, the book is also crap yet somehow better, and apparently the reason the planet blew up was because it was overmined to hell and back and thus hollow as hell... which the movie did crap in explaining... at least that's what I've gathered from the Rifftrax Twitch chat whenever this movie rolls around...

No one has ever made this kind of reaction to nostalgia critic this is something special!
Thanks to reacting to another funny review, may I recommend his review of A simple Wish.
In a review by sfdebris, the movie is said to have cost more than the entire lord of the rings trilogy, he went into a lot of the back story of how this movie was made. Apparently the movie was shot with a "Dutch angle" to make it feel more like a comic book, I don't think they ever opened a comic book.

After Earth - Nostalgia Critic
Next week please
This Movie is Sooo Bad !
Now you have to watch the Top 11 greatest NC mistakes, as he made a pretty big one in this review.
(There were a few of those videos he did but I’m pretty sure the Battlefield Earth one is the very first of those?)
😂😂😂😂😂😂🎉🎉
the little "Thanks Dad!"
😂😹😂😹😂
I'm sorry but Doug seemed like he forgot that you donated to him before for a cameo.
Oh I don’t doubt it, that was months ago and he talks to a lot of people. That’s like people expecting me to remember a small detail in a video from a year ago
