    This is honest to goodness one of the very best comparisons I have ever watched for these 3 types of screen protectors. It has in all honesty opened my eyes to the reality of no matter what you use your phone will still get damaged depending on the force of impact that it will endure. Thanks for this, wonderfully done

    Test shows all of them will protect your screen from light scratches only. But i need to add, especially for samsung phones about the sensitivity when it comes to bioemetrics. Regular tempered glass won't scan your finger prints.

    • @kelbinhow
      @kelbinhow Год назад

      Yeah, if you really want glass to protect Samsung's ultrasonic reader, instead of the hydrogel/ceramic ones, your only hope is to use a UV glass protector. Those are not 100% comparable to tempered glass because they're really thin, but it does work with the ultrasonic sensor and it's better against scratches than the hydrogel/ceramic

    Depending on the impact angle, the purpose of the screen protector is to reduce the chances of your phone glass screen being broken too easily when under normal impact. It is still better to have one (but not the Hydrogel type because if it does not break, the impact energy will transfer to the phone screen). Hopefully, the screen protector will break first before your phone screen breaks.

      I have tried tempered a few times and it ends up disappointing me in touch screen sensitivity and how well it adheres to the display. I just stick with tpu films now and I feel no reason after lots of research to switch back to tempered.

    If you already have gorilla glass with excellent drop protection , hydrogel film makes sense, you still get excellent experience, protection from scratches, unless you use a knife.
    T glass and ceramic are good if you already have a cheap screen on your phone but even then the impact would would evidently break the phone and leave the protector unhurt

  • @sebastianb5036
    @sebastianb5036 10 дней назад +1

    The best test i have come across.
    But still not accurate.
    Most phone screens are not out of regular glass but from Gorilla Glass which has several iterations.
    I assume it behaves very different than regular glass. I believe it is more bendable and flexible and therefore can absorb flexing from impact better.
    So the ceramic might have a better outcome by distributing the load more evenly.
    Maybe the hydrogel performs better than expected by deforming an distributing the impact on a sufficiently greater area.
    Another thing I like to mention from my own experience. Some month ago i dropped my s24 ultra on a stone staircase.
    The tempered screen protector cracked, as it should. The glass screen was undamaged.
    But the oled display didn't.
    I think phones have become so sturdy that the LCD is the weakest point.

By the way im using a71 5g. And yea still it didnt got any problem it only makes dark the hydrogel but still the rwspknse on the screen is 100% perfect. 🧐Tempered glass may break but will it damage display, tpu film is not a glass so it doesn't crack so may display will also not be effected by that🤨. But Tpu Film is good shock absorber but tempered glass is stronger 💪 & because of that should I prefer Tpu film or 0.26mm thickness tempered glass is better than that🤔 .this is my sandheh.🤔

      "Glass only breaks when the force of impact finally overcomes the surface compression. A scratch doesn’t shatter glass, but small stresses will eventually lead to it shattering."
      With a drop a "small amount of elastic energy in the glass is converted into acoustic energy", the noise you hear, and the "majority of the elastic energy stored in the glass will be converted into two - or more - new surface energy."
      If your screen is getting micro scratches, a new light force from a drop may meet up, run near, parallel to micro scratches, and your glass break.
      It is worse if a "dent micro scratch" dink has the start of running line cracking. Ever get a chip in a windshield, it looks OK, but leaving your car in hot weather cracks it out?
      That chip dink had running crack lines.
      My opinion of screen protectors is they protect the glass from micro scratches. It's not the energy they absorb over the screen.
      And that scratch protection helps the screen.

    Hydrogel: Not Durable but good if you have sweaty hands.
    T. Glass: Very Durable and can protect your LCD Screen but can leave finger print, scratch, broken glass and has a very bad performance against sweaty fingers.
    Ceramic: Cannot be shattered but also cannot quite protect the LCD screen from impact, has a very smooth surface that will satisfy gamers.
    Conclusion: Just get what's best or suits you better.

    That's proof that actually screen protectors are entirely useless. It could defend your phone from scratch, but it still breaks in the same way as without any shield. No need for that type of product. It's just good marketing.

      No you actually have no clue how many times a glass protector has protected my phone rather than none.

      The video literaly shows that on first hit, with that power without shield, the screen breaks, and with shield it doesnt break... It breaks with shield on the second hit with much more power... If you throw your phone to a truck passing by it will break too with or without screen and phonecase protection

      Your wrong bro. Few days ago i accidentally dropped my phone into ground. I really scared of screen crack. I thought my screen cracked but my screen was fine. It was just my screen protector. It was not normal ground. It was rock.

      Use your brain dude. The screen protector is supposed to take the impact and break thereby protecting the actual phone screen

      @@donleonardestrera6092if you don't want sticky and your hands sweat. Ceramic is the best, at least for me. Hydrogel is great too for sweaty hands, not just smooth to swipe though
