- Donegal Airport is a regional airport in Ireland, serving County Donegal and the north west. It is located on the coast , 2 NM south west of Bunbeg in Carrickfin, a townland in the Rosses, a district in north west Donegal. It is about 15 minute drive from Dungloe and Gweedore and 45 minutes from Letterkenny.

that where is spent all my holidays as a child near Dungloe my mother and father was married in wee chapel in kincasslagh near the sea i just love that part of Donegal would love to retire and spend the rest of my days there

Pat, this area is stunningly beautiful! I watch a number of RUclips videos on my homeland and most of them push tourism to the max!
The quiet, peaceful, untouched beauty will vanish with people crawling all over it. Juneau Alaska had to impose a limit of 5 cruise ships/day because of the impact of over tourism on locals. Bali Indonesia’s mass tourism has reached a tipping point and now they are literally running out of water! In 2019 11.3 million tourists visited Ireland and it keeps rising! How many are enough? Sure, the money is good, but at what cost? These low human impact areas are very rare and should be treasured as is! But then I’m one of those dreamers…..☘️💚🇮🇪
