If I can add a comment about the cross. There’s a lot of religious symbolism in this song, but he isn’t comparing himself or what he’s going through to Jesus. There was The crown of thorns placed on his head, which then disappeared and bled into the tattoo he has there. He showed the initial support from the powers that be (in the music industry), it’d fitting that they placed the crown of thorns on his head. He goes out and speaks to the masses, starts suggesting they think form themselves, free their minds, and because of this the industry crucifies him. As Ronnie suffers through all of this, his internal demons and positive sides fly down/up to pull him their direction, and he ends up letting that previous version of himself, a version that paid attention to industry, social influence, his inner demons, he let’s that version of himself die to become the artist he is now. That’s just my take though.

I tend to see it that he views it that people deify him then, seek to crucify him. All of the visuals show people copying him, worshiping him then, trying to destroy him. He knows that people will treat him as a ‘good’ to his face then, crucify him behind his back. It is very symbolic. He consistently talks about how people do not speak truth to a persons face and how he hates that. The last section, I see as him accepting* that he has both good and bad inside him and accepting that . I know it makes you uncomfortable but, I do not see it as him trying to be Jesus, rather him fighting against that fact that people treat him that way.
I think that scene is just showing how people crucify him, not really imitating jesus. I mean Jesus wasn't the only one to be crucified. And then it was a battle between good and bad.

Raised by his father who was also an addict and dealer - he used to manufacture drugs in the house when Ronnie was a teenager. Not a stable way to grow up and not surprisingly he became a heroin addict. Long story but he got in a brawl w/is friends and another group someone from that other group pulled a gun and started shooting and some ended up dying. Ronnie had nothing to do w/that but he did go to the fight w/a pair of brass knuckles which is a felony to have in Nevada so he got sentenced to 2 and half years in State prison for violation of Probation for having the brass knuckles while on parole for minor drug related charges. The scene where Ronnie is crucified can be interpreted as the embodiment of a cycle of self-sabotage and guilt that he tries to overcome throughout the song. The cross symbolizes his burden, his battle with inner demons, past choices, and external pressures. In the video, this scene visually connects to the suffering and emotional weight portrayed in the rest of the narrative. The crucifixion recalls the Christian concept of sacrifice and redemption, but in this context, it is not an altruistic sacrifice: it is a metaphor for being consumed by one’s own mistakes while still seeking liberation. Through the crucifixion, we can see a message of purification and resilience, suggesting that even in the deepest pain, there is a chance to be reborn, change, and overcome.
This is about being pushed to the edge. Society crucifying you without listening, paying attention, and you end up having enough. This is pre breaking. Pre snapping. Song describes me to a T.
That was his (former Wrestler) better half on screen, kinda blue tinted scene of his thoughts. She's a True Beauty. She's also in his country rap video with Jelly Roll as the bartender at the end. I forgot her name but its easy to find... 🔥
You mentioned he should play in a vampire movie. Now you should react to his songs I’m not a vampire AND I’m not a vampire revamped. You will not be disappointed!
@stevensmind Don't let a little passport get in your way. That would be a HUGE opportunity for you, plus you recently mentioned that you hoped your channel would get big enough to where you could get back into your main passion which is acting. When these little crazy 'coincidences' come your way in life, you have to go for it! It's like the universe puts it in your face and all you have to do is grab it and run!
I understand thAt confliction of what is being said and the true values that you have, but more than anything I appreciate that you ask questions and actually read the answers to see if the meaning of the artistry and songs truly are a confliction. Thank you for the reactions.
That song opens the album Popular Monster All the songs are connected back to back Ronnie had one vision when releasing these unordelly When you hear all his catalogue you'll understand better ❤ Thanks
"Shut up Ad. Go! Don't Look at me like that" 😂 I feel the same way when it comes to Falling in Reverse because I'm a Catholic and I really enjoy their music but then I also feel a bit of discomfort when I see or hear them mention God. I still enjoy their music overall. Great reaction Steven.
The way I interpret it is that he's being "cruicfied" by the public and that he's torn between his desire to lash out or stay true to his morals. The religious sybolism in the videos, imo, is directed to criticize the system and a rejection of being told how to be, rejection of control, not at God.
This occurs to me to be his own personal journey. Everyone telling him what is good and what is evil....what the angels are and the demons. He has rejected organized religion. This is him rejecting all the outside influences and deciding for himself what is right and wrong. Which is a spiritual journey we must all make to truly take our rightful place in the world. God, the Tao, the Universe, whatever you believe, it is in you and speaking through you every moment. I would read the Essays of Emerson for more excplaination...he's far more eloquent than I, though he would dispute me on that. Just my take.
I figure nobody should get mad at you for saying "oh I don't like that" because you keep listening and appreciating it, and you ask for comments to help explain. You already got some good ones on the perspective here, not mocking Jesus, etc. Someone suggested the track I Am Not A Vampire Revamped, YES BUTdon't do that without making it a double feature. You'll see the younger Ronnie in the original, and the more recent revamped version with whole different video quality and performance!
Ronnie knows there is more to everything than people are willing to look at, and he challenges them to open their eyes. He is not mocking. It's a symbol of being crucified for speaking out and what he is saying. Many people were crucified on the cross before Jesus but we only speak of the one.
@stevensmind crazy how one song can get everyone talking! So much detail in his songs and videos. I love all the commentary. Thank you for your reaction!
The angel scene is for me; he has his angelic side and dark side - like voices in his head both talking same time, and he is trying to figure out which way to go.. but he chooses his own way, taking both good and evil and following his own path. such a great song, such great artistry. I don't think he is trying to be like Jesus - he has his own way I think. Can you react to "I'm not a vampire Revamped" , "God if you're above" , "Raised by the wolves" 🤘
I always recommend Chemical Prisoner, Brother and Bitter End to understand some of his pain. God if You Are Above really demonstrates his conflict. Only Chemical Prisoner has a video and his dad is in it. Great reaction as always❤
From a Christian view yes it can seem offensive but I’ve learned of deep respectives and just enjoy the visuals without getting to much into it Ronnie does instagram responses back to people. He can really make you feel little after he gets through with rant. Asking him questions is interesting if good question .
Ronnie's commentary is more on how people use religion as a tool for control and personal gain. Tbh, I dont believe in god, but his music makes me at least think about it.
I don't think it's mockery of Jesus. I think it's symbolism. Both Christians and non have been crucified literally and figuratively. If i may add some Scripture to this, "oh that i may join him in the fellowship of his suffering." In the modem West of very badly interpreted Christianity, we have made the cross an idol instead of seeking it's fellowship, to be willing to suffer for truth and the gospel. We should be glad that music like this, even if the effect is unintentional, brings people to conversation about suffering, crucifixion, and Christ. We would be thankful that not only does it remind us of most especially of our Savior Christ, but also of all the people, including Ronnie that are willing and have been willing to face persecution, public ridicule, and even death, to speak and fight for the truth. Wherever actual Truth is, if people are willing to look, there to will they find the Light of the Truth of Christ.
Here for any and all Falling in Reverse! I would not say he was 'mocking Jesus.' Ronnie has been through a lot and if you'd like to hear a little more about it I suggest listening to The Westerner.
It should be noted that crucifixion was a common form of punishment around the time of Jesus. It was done to make an example of the people being crucified so that others would be scared to follow their example. One of Jesus' apostles actually requested that he be crucified upside down because he didn't want to be seen as equal with Jesus.
6:40 No he's not trying to be Jesus. This scene is representing both the positive and negative people coming for him to try and control his life and he rejects both of them, choosing to live his own life as he sees fit. I see they've already explained the being scapegoated and crucified by the industry in other comments so I won't touch on that. He uses religious symbolism a lot to describe his life but he's not trying to compare himself to Jesus. It's just a stunning visual aesthetic and it generates a lot of buzz, imho. Edit: Nobody should get upset at you over your thoughts and feelings on religion, as long as they're not infringing upon someone else's rights or beliefs. We can all agree what we're comfortable or uncomfortable with and that's okay. Nobody should judge you based on that and if they do, then they're not worth having as a subscriber or viewer. 8:17 That's the suit that gives him the Super powers that you see him wearing in Watch the World Burn and Ronald.
The entire video of him is portraying Christ, from the people/ crowd in the beginning judging him and finding him guilty and the guy with the crazy cool mask sentencing him ( Pontius Pilate) the followers/people copying his every move(disciples), the large statue and people he’s preaching to and is then the statue is destroyed ( king Nebuchadnezzar) the blind guy he heals, being crucified and spirt being fought over by the dark and light forces. Not sure if everyone that watches this video catches all that cause I never hear anyone make all those connections.
Peaky Blinders! Love it! As a Christian, it certainly is easy to be conflicted with a lot of Ronnie's imagery, but as others have already mentioned, there is usually an explanation/interpretation that is not mocking Jesus, though i think he often compares his suffering and persecution to that of Jesus, so it isn't without controversy. Definitely watch I'm Not a Vampire and I'm Not a Vampire Revamped. You'll love it.
His recent breakup with Saraya might change him a bit. They were together for six years so he’s gonna be rocked. His recent outbursts on social media seem to show that he’s unspooling a bit,😢
First you are an awesome reactor. He isn't saying he is Jesus. He is comparing his life. People love him, turn on him, try to cancel him or wish him death, then come back as if he was resurrected. Also, to many seem to forget that Jesus was not the first to die on a cross. In those times that was one of the many forms of execution. Most people were tied to the cross. Ronnie uses those visuals as symbolism, not to be taken as if he is saying he believes those things.
We have been trained from. Birth if we see a cross or Bible or preacher it's holy and should not be questioned. Well it should be questioned. If you think about it what was the main punishment back then???? He's death by being hung on a cross. Whenever anyone started an uprising against the leadership or the many gods that were praised they would be hung on a cross in public. That's not just a Jesus thing. People forget that. Thats why the world is such a mess, we don't question enough we sit still and look the other way. You need to look past man made religion to talk about Ronnie Radke.
The thing that it seems a lot of people forget is that Jesus wasn't the only person crucified, crucifixion was used as a punishment before and after Jesus. Millions died from crucifixion but the only one people focus on is Jesus. I'm not going to get into the meaning of it because other comments did that.
He’s not “trying to be Jesus” he’s just pointing out that he’s being crucified because he’s pointing out that everything from politics, to religion (not Faith), and big business etc. is destroying us… and he’s bearing the brunt of his decision to speak out about it… There no mocking intended 💁♂️
I wouldn't say Ronnie mocks Jesus. His music flirts between Christian and anti-religious, depending on the song. This particular song shows Ronnie's conflict, being torn between heaven and hell, or good and evil at the same time. Ronnie, as a person, feels deep suspicion between the motives of each side, and he seeks to find his own way to the Truth. This song shows how his support for one side, and his discovery of truth, can lead him to be crucified by that very side. Ronnie has no allegiance except to the truth.
Like others have stated I think it's less comparing him self to Jesus or mocking him and more about Ronnie himself being crucified. While I don't think he has any issues with religion itself, I think his main problem is with organized religion and brainwashing.
I agree with the not mocking Jesus part but like you i probably don't understand what his intentions are with it. On a side note, i love when you're silly like your stank face is a puppy in a flower.😂 Blessings to you and your better half I'm out🙏
Being hung on a cross was a very common punishment during the Roman empire period,Jesus being the most well known victim ofmbeing Crucified. And one of the surefire ways to be punished via crusifiction was for a slave to rebel against thier Master. I feel like the cross holds the fate of so many poor souls in it and everyone why has ever be controlled to death. Its not just about Jesus, which is why Jesus chose the cross, to symbolize you are not my master, my father is.
I, much like you, am a Christian who sometimes cringes at some of the imagery FIR (Ronnie) does in his videos. But I do not find this music video to be as offensive as many others do, even though it is objectively blasphemous. There is an important lesson in the visuals that I am not sure Ronnie did intentionally, but God works through imperfect vassals all the time. A comment I hear form atheists all the time is, "If Jesus was the son of God, then why didn't he avoid his crucifixion on the cross by using his superpowers?" Ronnie demonstrates how many of us (let's be real, most of us) would act if nailed to a cross but had the power to punish those who put us there. But that would have defeated the point of Christ's crucifixion. The point was to die for our sins. To show us God is with us by becoming us and sharing in our pain and struggle. Using god-like superpowers would have shown our actions are meaningless. Maybe this is the way Ronnie meant it, but either way, I hope he finds peace in God one day. Also, as many have already pointed out, your "he should play a vampire" comment made everyone who is a fan of FIR go, "you need to check out I'm Not A Vampire - Revamped." This is a 'reimagined' version of a FIR song from 2013. I recommend you react to the original (I'm Not A Vampire) before reacting to the new version (I'm Not A Vampire - Revamped) so you get to see the growth of the band over that 9-10 year span. Great reaction!
A lotta people been crucified over the centuries, bro. Very few of them had anything to do with Christianity. In fact, Christianity uses the cross as its icon because Jesus was executed by crucifixion. That's because it was very commonly used as a method of execution. As far as mockery is concerned, that's ridiculous. The version of the Jesus story we get in "Prequel" is actually far more accurate to reality than any of the accounts in the Bible (the account most contemporaneous to Jesus' life was written at least 50 years after the crucifixion by someone who not only was not there or anywhere near there, but had never met Jesus even one time. The other accounts are all worse off in terms of fact, and were written even later.) In this story we got alternate universe/alien Jesus who has powers and is welcomed by the elites as a tool for repressing and misleading the people. Not knowing he is simply a disposable patsy for the 1% of society, he embraces his role and speaks with the people, helping to keep them in line. At some point he begins walking among the common populace, in this case walking through an open air market in the city. Faced with the reality of the world (instead of what the elites have allowed him to see,) he questions what he has been told. Further, he sees that he has gained a following, so he uses that to wake the people up and get them to resist. Ambushed by the Pharisees...er, I mean the local elite priests or whatever...he is sent to the cross to be executed (which is ironic considering that Jesus actually worked building crucifixes specifically for executions and routinely assisted with carrying them out...and since nailing pieces of wood together to serve as a method of execution apparently counts as a skilled trade, thus we know Jesus as a "carpenter.") At his execution he is faced with the people he was trying to save and liberate, and given the mood of any good Romanesque arena, the people are hungry for blood and they don't care who has to shed it. Realizing how deep the betrayal goes, he attempts to destroy the arena with his powers but succumbs to his wounds and dies. His soul is lifted toward heaven, where the angels wait to retrieve it, only to discover that the demons of hell have arrived to claim his soul as well. Knowing that he is a creature of neither heaven nor hell, but of the material world, he uses his powers again to disrupt the angels and demons, landing him in purgatory. From here he follows a beacon in the sky to a ruined temple (?) where the path to resurrection lay. He gains entrance, leading him to be resurrected in our world, but without his memories or powers (which he will gradually gain back.) Hope that helped.
Isn't crucifying someone for... a saying in english?(I'm Dutch) Anywayzz, to do what you beliefe to be right you have to make sacrifices. He fights the system and himself. Both sides good and evil pull him in different directions and his choices make him loved but also hated and prosecuted by many, including the music industry and on a bigger scale woke ideoligy because he doesn't conform to the new norm (he is getting crucified for who he is) He rejects both external forces that pull him because he wants to find his own path. He doesn't trust anyone else with his journey because of trauma. He also has to fight his inner demons like mental health and staying sober) Crucifying people was a common practice in Rome, Jesus wasn't the only one, btw I believe in Jesus but it never made sense to me to idolize the cross, if im completely honest.🤷🏽♀️
Ok, I'm coming for you.... Firstly, Jesus was not the only person so have ever been crucified on a cross. Secondly, this actually has nothing to do with religion - it is called symbolism. Ronnie Radke gets CRUCIFIED for everything and anything he says or does. This is the second FIR one I've seen of yours and you get very offended very quick at any sign of religion... it doesn't mean what you think it does - broaden your mind and look past the religion and ask WHY did he use this with these lyrics. Just food for thought. I would recommend Ronald next but I'm concerned you could get offended by it. However, you did say to come for you in the comments, I did. I DO like your reactions, you just need to look past that and think about the symbolisms and what they mean. React to the full album. I'll sub to see more FIR.

That is Ronnie representing EXACTLY what I told you about WTWB! Him on the cross being crucified for being him! ❤❤❤
Ronnie on the cross is a metaphoric representation of how he's been treated over the past decade. ❤
This is about being pushed to the edge. Society crucifying you without listening, paying attention, and you end up having enough. This is pre breaking. Pre snapping. Song describes me to a T.
He should play a vampire 😂😂😂😂
I love how you tell the ads to shut up. LMAO
Genre free Ronnie! Completely incredible talent 🔥
That was his (former Wrestler) better half on screen, kinda blue tinted scene of his thoughts. She's a True Beauty. She's also in his country rap video with Jelly Roll as the bartender at the end. I forgot her name but its easy to find... 🔥
@@neworleanslady9664 he’s gifted
Ronnie is unapologetically himself and always speaks the truth. He's a musical genius ❤ 🇦🇺
You mentioned he should play in a vampire movie. Now you should react to his songs I’m not a vampire AND I’m not a vampire revamped. You will not be disappointed!
URGENT: Btw off subject but @ren posted 5 hours ago on his community tab looking for actors for new video.
Now back to Ronnie and falling in reverse
You're a real one for sharing that info :) that is one gold star for you my friend 🖤🖤🖤🏅🌟
I wish I had an updated passport!
Wait until you watch “im not a vampire-revamped”
I understand thAt confliction of what is being said and the true values that you have, but more than anything I appreciate that you ask questions and actually read the answers to see if the meaning of the artistry and songs truly are a confliction. Thank you for the reactions.
That song opens the album Popular Monster
All the songs are connected back to back
Ronnie had one vision when releasing these unordelly
When you hear all his catalogue you'll understand better ❤
Thanks
Wow….. video was epic. I’ve been meaning to check out FIR for awhile, so glad you are doing them so I can get to see them for first time too
3:50 don't tell us the "he should playing a vampire in a movie" line isn't scripted!! 😅
100% thank you! And I’m glad you like my silliness yelling ads to shut up lmao
@stevensmind I certainly get a kick out of it
Def check out I’m not a vampire revamped… and Bad Girls Club 😂
Will do!
Yes, he's actually tattooed like that
Next Song(s) - I'm not a Vampire & I'm not a Vampire Revamped! watch the older one first then the revamped - Double Feature Video!
The way I interpret it is that he's being "cruicfied" by the public and that he's torn between his desire to lash out or stay true to his morals. The religious sybolism in the videos, imo, is directed to criticize the system and a rejection of being told how to be, rejection of control, not at God.
Thank you! You guys are such a help!
Next: Zombifield and Ronald
I finished it you mentioned Ronnie and vampire. Watch the video falling in reverse I’m not a vampire (revamped)
I have to see that!
Thank you!
Ronnie blacked out his body tattoos last year because he said the old ink was interfering with his creativity basically.
He should play a vampire. 💀
lol!! Apparently he has? I need to see it !
Wow this was amazing
It truly is!
Definitely have to react to "I am not a vampire" original and the remake "I am not a vampire -revamped!!"
Check out im not a vampire and im not a vampire (revamped)....in that order the first is their glam days the second shows their growth as a band
Never Heard this before. I Defo need to go and subscribe lol. great reaction from both steve and in the comments. Keep em coming
The comments really help me understand these guys! I always appreciate them when I do FIR reactions
Okay so do the original and the revamped together. Got it!
Hello Steve and his mind! You’re going to love this
So good!
Check out the original I'm Not a Vampire (older original version), and then I'm Not a Vampire - Revamped. LOL he is a vampire.
Here again ;) how about Good Girls Bad Guys next. Give ya a different type of video 😜
Ronnie hates that one. Especially now that he has a daughter. Maybe Bad Girls Club.
He can't play one, he's not a vampire.
Ronnie knows there is more to everything than people are willing to look at, and he challenges them to open their eyes. He is not mocking. It's a symbol of being crucified for speaking out and what he is saying. Many people were crucified on the cross before Jesus but we only speak of the one.
Thank you!
Great reaction brother 👌🏽 hope you didn't slack off on the gym today!
You must try NO FEAR its really good!
Im not a vampire , both versions are epic❤❤❤ do the old one first and than do the reimagined version ! Absolutely amazing
Thank you bro!
Ronnie's commentary is more on how people use religion as a tool for control and personal gain. Tbh, I dont believe in god, but his music makes me at least think about it.
Love this! Planting seeds!
Letsss get.... in... to.... "StevensMIND"
Hi Steve You need to react to “ RONALD “ next
@@susanmalcolm3434 copy that
he's not ready for it🤣
Definitely Ronald!!
🤘🤘
🔥❤️🤘
❤❤❤❤❤
Love the hat bruz
It should be noted that crucifixion was a common form of punishment around the time of Jesus. It was done to make an example of the people being crucified so that others would be scared to follow their example. One of Jesus' apostles actually requested that he be crucified upside down because he didn't want to be seen as equal with Jesus.
You're absolutely right!
You'll love it.
double reaction im not a vampire and revamped please 😊
Will do
Great video great song
He isnt trying to be jesus, my take on it is he is being crusified for speaking his mind and truth❤❤❤
Believe me... Ronnie makes ALOT of people uncomfortable. lol you just gotta understand his viewpoint and it makes sense.
Like others have stated I think it's less comparing him self to Jesus or mocking him and more about Ronnie himself being crucified. While I don't think he has any issues with religion itself, I think his main problem is with organized religion and brainwashing.
Subbed for mor FIR
I agree with the not mocking Jesus part but like you i probably don't understand what his intentions are with it. On a side note, i love when you're silly like your stank face is a puppy in a flower.😂 Blessings to you and your better half I'm out🙏
Thank you! hahaha
Try and remember that thousands upon thousands of people were crucified before and after Jesus. He's making a point here.
@@LunarGodess you’re right
A lotta people been crucified over the centuries, bro.
Ambushed by the Pharisees...er, I mean the local elite priests or whatever...he is sent to the cross to be executed (which is ironic considering that Jesus actually worked building crucifixes specifically for executions and routinely assisted with carrying them out...and since nailing pieces of wood together to serve as a method of execution apparently counts as a skilled trade, thus we know Jesus as a "carpenter.")
At his execution he is faced with the people he was trying to save and liberate, and given the mood of any good Romanesque arena, the people are hungry for blood and they don't care who has to shed it. He gains entrance, leading him to be resurrected in our world, but without his memories or powers (which he will gradually gain back.)
Hope that helped.
I find it hilarious when people get offended by anyone other than Jesus being crucified. Like He was the only one the Roman's did that to.
Isn't crucifying someone for... a saying in english?(I'm Dutch)
Anywayzz, to do what you beliefe to be right you have to make sacrifices. He fights the system and himself. Both sides good and evil pull him in different directions and his choices make him loved but also hated and prosecuted by many, including the music industry and on a bigger scale woke ideoligy because he doesn't conform to the new norm (he is getting crucified for who he is)
He rejects both external forces that pull him because he wants to find his own path. He doesn't trust anyone else with his journey because of trauma. He also has to fight his inner demons like mental health and staying sober)
Crucifying people was a common practice in Rome, Jesus wasn't the only one, btw
I believe in Jesus but it never made sense to me to idolize the cross, if im completely honest.🤷🏽♀️
People were actually crucified before Jesus and after. No, people are always trying to crucify him
Jesus was not the first or only person to be crucified...
I Dont get the mocking the Jesus thing at all ? ... here crucifixion is metaphorical... remember not only Jesus was crucified.... it's a reactive maybe narrow view to think its degrading jesus. as crucifixion was common then. It's also artistic expression
Sometimes gotta reach beyond our programming to see maybe...?
To see ronnie as a vampire ...I'm not a vampire revamped..is brilliant. However.. be prepared some content in other songs may shock u..and he is poking the stck abit
"You could say i escaped my fate" Escape The Fate - his old band, he got kicked out after he went in prison
