I love Wild Fork. It looks like they trimmed that brisket in a blender. In the end it didnt even matter. Delicious looking brisket with little to no work. Anyone should be proud to cook and eat that. Great job my dude!
Well done sir. Do you have a feel for pounds of charcoal burned per hour? Did you really need to pour the whole 3rd bag? Seriously thinking about purchasing the 900. Thanks. JT
Total cook time was 8.5 hours. About 2.5 bags the 12lb bags. It was 5 degrees out and windy. So that's nit to bad. I didn't have to dump all of the 3rd bag in. I think on a day above freezing 2 bags be plenty.
I had progress today. The OK Joe app needs the phones GPS on. It still wont connect to WiFi. /LOL I am going to drag the Router outside or the BBQ inside to try and get the firmware updated /LOL
I just purchased the Tahoma. I already own the Bronco and the Highland, just another addition to my smokers. I’m going to use B&B charcoal for my first long cook. I’d say, don’t fill up the hopper all the way when you do a short cook. For longer cooks, Kingsford IMO isn’t the best, I’m not surprised you went through so much charcoal 😂. Hope you enjoy the new smoker.

Good looking brisket Scotty. Hope the charcoal goes out and don't waste otherwise like you said, kind of a deal killer. Thanks!
No kidding. My mb560 I never snuff out. But others like to save coal.
Great cook on that smoker Scotty!
Thanks Louis. Coal and wood. Great combo
I'd say....the Oklahoma Joe Tahoma 900 is a keeper 👍It did a great job on that brisket and very nice smoke ring. Looks delicious as always 😋

Thanks bobbi I appreciate it. Ribs today lol
I looked at one today at Lowes. Just didn't get it yet... Nice smoke ring, Scotty!👍😋
Not a bad smoker. Built like a tank. Git a rack of ribs going on Sunday
What do you mean by you made a mistake on that knob? Were you able to get the fire to burn out?
The knob is touchy. Fire did go out
By any chance, do you know if wood chunks (oak/hickory) can be used instead of charcoal?
I wouldn't try it. Could produce a dirty smoke. U can add small chucks in with the charcoal.
Well done sir.

I cant get the app to talk to my Tahoma. It does Bluetooth pair. What phone are you using with the Tahoma 900?
I can't get app to work either. Kinda of a pain. I own 5 pits none of the apps work

Love my Tahoma
i hate mine. the fire will not stay lit. temps drop and when i go to stoke the fire i have to re-ignite it over and over
@kirkkohd4883 I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble. Try using a chimney starter. With 15 lite coals m. Make sure the ash pan is cleaned out.
looks yummy!
Thanks turned out great
Not gonna rest your brisket at all?
for video i don't rest long. i only have 1 day to film.
