It really boggles the mind. They’re so upset that they made anti-Semitism if you say bad things about them how do they get away with them? Has anyone get away with that so sad
I don't know how Nora does it, I feel a year older just from listening to her news read, but she has to deliver it each week. Love and respect to all the EI crew and the brave people of Gaza.
10000%. what i get from it is: work like the ceasefire will hold, bc Palestinians know how to rebuild, they’re already starting. keep going to full liberation, cos its on the dang horizon. 💗💗💗
Thanks for all your unwavering support and strength for the people of Palestine 🇵🇸 This brings some light when the road feels dark ❤ Freedom and solidarity for Palestine 🇵🇸
I'm really glad for Nora and the EI team gets to report less awful updates, even though this misery is far from over. Thank you all, and thank the people of Palestine for showing us the way through times of horror they and no one else should experience.
Thank you Jon. Your resistance reports continue to offer uplifting and inspiring moments amidst the (still) sad news from Gaza. I value your work immensely.
Thank you so much for being the light in the darkness of all this, you empower and embolden others to do the same just by using the correct language and calling it as it is. Thank you Thank you a thousand times.
Thanks again EI for your awesome reporting. I loved hearing from Laith Marouf about how Palestinians view their prisoners as living martyrs and the dignity of not leaving your people behind. Jon's segment complimented this really well. Can't wait to hear about the past heroism of the Palestinian prisoners being released!
Good on you all for reporting every week about this awful horror that Palestinian people still live with. I hope their knowledge of their neighbours is complete now they see the dust and rubble that was the latest act of the colony. Saw it in 1964 and in amazed the people still there, still resilient. No choices really except to resist til their land is returned.
Really interesting from Jon, highlighting the symbolic significance of the setting for the hostage release in Glaza square. His maps begin to take on more realism as we remember recent images of the return to the North. I learnt a lot.
Thanks to everyone at E.I. for your essential reporting and analyses. Solidarity with the Resistance. Free Palestine. End the occupation. Stop the genocide. Justice will prevail!! 🙏🏽💕✊🏽🇵🇸 🇱🇧 🇸🇾
Finland and Spain to a certain degree, too - the three are all committed to a Palestinian state. Also as of June 2024, the State of Palestine is recognized as a sovereign state by 146 of the 193 member states of the United Nations, or just over 75% of all UN members. Israel is becoming more isolated. BRICS are also supportive of Palestine. Colonialism is an anachronistic dead reality. The world's coming round to free Palestine!
How utterly cruel, knowingly finally allowing those people to go 'home". So much sickness in my heart every time going home was mentioned because I knew what was there. How twisted. It must be an overwhelming shock. Something is wrong with the people who did these things. Their minds have gone. Could any free thinking people do such things??
Although there are a million reasons to be pessimistic, this moment has a unique feature: a US president that will stand up to Israel. He has said he wants a Nobel Peace prize and hopefully someone will tell him that ethnic cleansing is not the way to get it.
Very informative episode. Thank you. Jon, if you see this, the other day I saw a social media post from Gaza showing the total destruction of Beit Hanoun. The caption was something like - Israel has completely destroyed Beit Hanoun, but did not get even one of us. I wasn't sure what it meant until I remembered the way Jon had described to us the way the fighters are grouped by their locations where they await the fighting to come into their area. After I thought about that, then the post made sense to me.
2 year old niece comes in and starts being cute in front of me while Nora reads out news about the 2 year old girl randomly murdered by marauders while eating dinner. Had to pause. Now to have a smoke and regain composure.
very good practical civil rights questions by Nora and Ali, especially the former. Here in Ireland activists (in fact EVERYONE) should know their legal rights. The State doesn't always uphold those rights even when you know them but we are definitely much better off when we know the legal rights.
Gaza is teaching us what being human means. They are displaying a level of dignity rarely encountered in this money led civilisation. They also have demonstrated that the motivation to fight the occupying Israeli forces is far more important than any technological advancement in war. Humanity and solidarity are the values that Gaza is embodying and the western proletariat is looking up to to it as a universal lesson in fighting the oppression of those who exploit and destroy our communities. FREE, FREE PALESTINE!
Ps I would be interested in learning Jon's take on this latest hostage release on Jan 30th in a Khan Younis currently described as chaotic. What happened? This is such a contrast to the initial release in Gaza Square
Know your rights: what it comes down to is that NATURAL BORN United States citizens have more flexibility and therefore more responsibility to protest, civilly disobey, etc. It's time. We are the greatest benefactors of empire.
have you hear from Bisan Owda? last time was weeks ago. i have waited a post from her specially now when people are returning north, but still nothing. i hope it is just because of her being busy bringing her life forward. have anybody heard from her? thank you for your work there at ei !
In an interview with Fadia Al-Barghouthi on Free Palestine TV, Fadia describes her arrest and time in Damon Prison. She stated one explicit rule was that the prisoners must not express joy. How can anyone argue Gaza and the occupied regions of Palestine are not a prison when one condition of the ceasefire is the people must not express joy? 12 arrested for this so called crime! What must we do to make our governments end this evil that is the occupation!? I feel even going on a hunger strike and locating ourselves in and around our governments cities would impart nothing to the monsters residing as our governments.
We need US citizens to stand up in full force to protest and represent those on student visas, because they are safer to do so. Let’s protect our students.
usa should NOT be doing any gatekeeping. A neutral country should have been chosen and agreed to. US taxpayers better be paying for those private war companies. UN could have done this.
The Palestinians people are amazing. Israel has killed thousands of those closest to their hearts but they have the God given resilience to carry on,".That's because of their powerful prayers. You and I would have given up by now.
How many soldiers does the occupation have that they can occupy the areas they do? They have troops in Syria, Lebanon, Gaza, West Bank and probably Egypt and Jordan. They must be getting fewer and they must be tired and ready to fall with the slightest push

That is the Zionist philosophy to keep Zionism alive! Apartheid SA had the same philosophy.
Thank Tamara for your work. You're an awesome person. I like telling you this so you can keep doing awesome things
You do an incredible big job!
Thanks from Switzerland
I don’t feel anymore fighting alone
The cruelty is unfathomable. How could anyone with any heart not feel extreme unbelief at the depravity

Unfortunately it’s still all happening especially in the West Bank and south Lebanon
Thank you EI. Independent journalists with journalistic integrity are the heroes of our time.

I am in awe of the resilience, courage, and humanity of the Palestinians. May God be with you always🙌
Great work guys! Welcome back Ali. We're happy to see you back in action and determined to fight back 😊
Thank you!! 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸👍👍👍
I loved the historical lesson about the symbolism of the spoon, in the context of the national struggle! Thanks, Jon and team. ✌️
Too horrific for words... the destruction is relentless. Evil Pure Evil! 😡

Harvard should be ashamed, but I fear shame is not something they are capable of.
As always, true journalism from EI. Thank you
Israel HATES seeing these hostages being treated as good as they are. The narative keeps on flipping on them! FREE Falastine!

This fascistas, How they dare to forbid "expressions of joy". How world leaders in Europe and USA are acomplices to this barbarism
Is Ireland the last country in Europe where people can still stand up for Palestinians or Israeli’s and not be arrested?
Yes!

I know we laugh now but we were totally angry at the swiss gov for your illegal and immoral arrest.
Please don't go back to Switzerland.
"The goal of the Oct 7 operation was to empty the prisons" nicely said Jon 👌
Maybe all potential new students should apply to other universities and countries that aspire to integrity.
