The location of this scene is made in Italy, In the Brion memorial , An architect's masterpiece Carlo Scarpa..I was stunned...it's in Veneto In the Treviso countryside. Magnificent place.
In the movie Little Women, Timothee Chalmette had to urge Florence Pugh that she was truly in love with him instead of some other guy in order to make her his bride. In this film, all he had to do was threaten her father with death in order to do the exact same thing.
That outfit's not half as bad as the one she's wearing at 2:08. Seriously...what's with the bars across her face??? It almost looks like some kind of bondage or fetish gear.
Doesn't work like that. He took Irulans hand in marriage to lay claim to everything house Corrino has, which is a considerable amount. Even the Sardaukar are basically his to rule as he is the emperor, having married the princess and deposed har father. It's just what nobility does. The great houses opposed it however and war ensued. Paul knew they would. He chose this way anyway. I'm sure he knew exactly what would happen either way.
@@Ashgromthat's exactly what bothers me. I suspect that Paul suspected the jihad to be a product of killing the emperor. Such a shame the great houses didn't side with the atreidies.
I haven’t read the books so I’m not entirely sure what happens or how Paul proceeds from here, but as of the end of Part 2, Paul is actually positioned to be the legal head of House Atreides, Corrino and Harkonnen
@JakvsMetalheads999 that's exactly what I was thinking. Also he has almost the control of Arrakis with the high demand of spices. He just needs to control distribution and prices with his earned position, army and resource. Its similar to oil, the one who controls it, will control global energy and wealth...
Paul married Irulan, taking the throne, but he only had children by Chani, meaning the imperial bloodline died out, and the Atreides line woukd take over. He did it through a cruel marriage.

She falls in love with him, poisons Chani to try to prevent her from getting pregnant (fails), and becomes an excellent, loving stepmother to his twins.
I wasn't expecting her to step in and say she would be his willing bride if she spared her father. Also the "I dont need a man!" 3rd tantrum from Zendaya stomping out when in the original she loved & followed him faithfully. Slapping Paul was ridiculous. You can tell Florence and Timothee have on screen chemistry even though they barely had time together. They've worked together before.
The films did her justice in a way the books didn't. Amazing actor, amazing act amazing writing. Bravo all the way.
I agree. I can't wait to see her in full revenge empress mode in Dune Messiah!
The daughter is a damn sight smarter than anybody else in the room.

Irulan: Feyd-Rautha? He's psychotic!
Reverend Mother: *walks away*
😂 it's not her problem he's psychotic
Reverend Mother thinking-"Of course he's psychotic. He's a Harkonnen."
In the movie, she said 'That is irrelevant'
I love characters like her, poised, smart, and just
She embodied her perfectly ❤
No, she didn’t.
@@fellowdanbarber3323Of course you say that
no she didnt wtf

We're gonna have to get used to Florence's ☹️ when Part 3 comes along, won't we?
@jbvader721 I am already used to her, if you know what I mean.
LOL
That look at 2:09 was close to perfection
imagine me sparring with Irulan on a game of nine-level chess bro
If politicians thought in long term and all angles of consequence of their actions ... we wouldnt need to electec them
Having someone like that say she’ll be your willing bride, who would refuse 😍
One who knows it's suicide to marry a cult member
If the alternative was Zendaya, I would.
Given the long family history of treachery, I would really have to think about it.
Meh she's ok. Easy pass. Rather have the one from the movie
U numbskull, lead astray so easily by woman
1:39 Bro what the fuck is she wearing 😭
that's look majestic thou, decorated hijab

Swarowski space hijabi
Whatever she wants.
That sequined headcover isn't half as bizarre as the thing with the narrow linked metal bars across the lower half of her face...
Why couldn't Paul just eliminate house Corino, including the bloodline, and takeover as emperor. Would've saved a whole lot of fighting...

Loveee omg
These videos are stupid without showing more of the scene even if her face isn't right there.
1:28 Were these deleted scenes? I don’t remember them being in the original film
it's when Paul sends the message to the emperor, the one that ends up bringing him to Arrakis
It is the film.
Smokin
They gave her an american accent...not sure if its fitting given how shes supposed to be corrino royalty
shes going to try to kill him later.
She falls in love with him, poisons Chani to try to prevent her from getting pregnant (fails), and becomes an excellent, loving stepmother to his twins.
did paul atleast get to do the obligations with her? please tell me he did.
The way she looked at paul was bbbbbiiiiggggg sexy!!!
Ahahahah in princess irulan’s eyes she thought paul was straight up badass. In florence pugh eyes, timothee chalamat is cute🤣

Well obviously they have some chemistry since zendaya has a whole bf and worked with him 😂
