Euro NCAP Crash & Safety Tests of Mercedes-EQ EQC 2019

- Euro NCAP performs a series of crash and safety tests on car models:
a frontal impact test, the car impacts a rigid barrier
an offset frontal impact test, 40% of the width of the car is striking a deformable barrier
a pole test, the tested car is propelled sideways into a rigid pole
a side impact test, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door.
A series of pedestrian tests are conducted with different impactors, adult and child head form, lower and upper leg form and whiplash tests are performed on a sled.
Active safety is tested based on the car’s equipment: autonomous emergency braking systems (car to car, with a pedestrian and a cyclist target), lane support and speed assist technologies and seatbelt reminders.

Surprised none of the curtain airbags went off in the frontal tests. Particularly, the offset test.

I noticed that you almost always test the german cars like Audi, Mercedes and BMW with a panoramic sunroof and you almost never do it with Volvo cars! WHY? This is, for me, so unfair and it can give some biaised results!

I think cars don't come with a panoramic sunroof as standard because it's expensive and it's an option. Not everyone wants this option!

Volvo XC60 (2017) got better results. Sorry... Mercedes fan boys.
Because they never test Volvo cars with panoramic sunroof, unlike Mercedes, BMW or Audi (Q7 vs Volvo XC90)!
But we saw how strong the Mercedes GLC was compared to the Volvo XC60 or the other two (BMW X3 or Audi Q5)!
