- Euro NCAP performs a series of crash and safety tests on car models:
a frontal impact test, the car impacts a rigid barrier
an offset frontal impact test, 40% of the width of the car is striking a deformable barrier
a pole test, the tested car is propelled sideways into a rigid pole
a side impact test, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door.
A series of pedestrian tests are conducted with different impactors, adult and child head form, lower and upper leg form and whiplash tests are performed on a sled.
Active safety is tested based on the car’s equipment: autonomous emergency braking systems (car to car, with a pedestrian and a cyclist target), lane support and speed assist technologies and seatbelt reminders.

The ratings were 92% adults passengers , 88% children , 78% pedestrians and 74% safety systems .
Side mirrors are so sturdy. In most other cars they used to spin all around.
1:17 OMG
omggggg 😖😖😖
And 1:45 too....
The integrity of the passenger compartment looks solid, especially for a compact Suv
Passanger Airbag cracks the windshield and reduces its strength to withstand impacts of objects from the accident or secondary accidents..
Can you please include what the results were on the test... Thanks
You can read them on their website.

Как всегда на высоте
1:17 ???? 2018 fiat doblo and 2019 ford connect
And renault espace 2015
rip
So did this rating beat the TESLA Model Y ?
I got this car and 1:17 concerns me...so does the side pole crash test..
How come no rear crashes
it may look scary, but of you notice, the airbags are doing their job and so are the crumple zones. Specially for a small car.
what about 1:17? Any faster and there's definitely rollover which is extremely dangerous isn't it?
wafflepiepancake these cars have a very strong roof and abc pillars, most modern cars are designed to support 2-3 times their weight on the roof in case of a rollover.
but ofcourse if theres a very severe accident, ANY car will crumple. Im sure no car can withstand a 100mph rollover. but in terms of average speed they should be fine
@@redriver15262 thanks for the info! I recently got a GLB, and just seeing that it almost rolled over from a 50kmh hit was concerning
wafflepiepancake You made a good choice in. picking the GLB.
Mercedes are meant to be able to take a hit. the bumpers and cosmetic may crumple but the structure of the vehicle will keep the passengers safe.
Go look at the Jeep Wrangler crash tests.
That thing is a HUGE death trap 🤯😨😰
@@redriver15262 oh definitely. Thanks for the info :)
i really wonder what do they do with the cars after. do they scrap it to make some money back with the good piece ? for the least damaged one (pedestrian test) do they fix and sell them ?
because it's a whole lot of money and waist.
Nope. The results from these tests save lifes
LG

I like Mercedes glb
This is my fav suv, but I didnt know GLB was this unstable and bad safety. But, Why did the glass totally shatter on the side pole test😕? Volvo is better I think
Wow :o
The pole test is poor
What pole test
@@AntiPixel1 side pole test
Indeed far from glc or gle...
Almost flipped on the side impact test...
Ford F-450 vs. any car model
1:17 F#@*
Safe suv
It’s still harmful, you don’t need to be harmed in the accident, once you see the amount of money it needs to be fixed with you may get a heart attack
