I began researching RUclips videos on this tool because I like the idea how it seems to be foolproof when staking the rivet. Turn the adjuster until it bottoms out, done? Apparently not, as seen in your video! If it is marketed as a set-it-and-forget-it stool, how can you end up with 5.5 mm Flair the first time, 5.65 mm on the second rivet, and then go back to the first rivet again and get 5.74 mm? To me that's not consistent at all. If I have to tighten the D.I.D. tool three to assure correct flare, maybe I would be just as well off keeping my cheap Cycle Gear Stockton chain setter, because I have to turn the wrench three times with that one also, checking the flare occasionally. Is there really any advantage to the did chain tool over the cycle gear version?
