    Finally, a two person interview where both subjects are facing one camera! Been looking for a video like this for quite some time! Looks great! A big space too to help separate the subjects from the background as well as more space to separate the subjects from the camera allowing a wider lens. Would love to see something like this again in a much smaller space.

      Haha ya that's what I was thinking! I haven't shown any where they face the camera. If I do another one in a small space I will try to do a video again. Thanks for watching Ryan!

    • @GriffinConway
      @GriffinConway  Год назад +1

      Hey Nick! Thanks for the feedback. I have a decimator but I usually just run 3 monitors anyway to have a larger monitor to view the wide shot on since that was the master/most important angle. The 15" screen is great for catching waterbottles in the background or fly-away hairs etc haha. Thanks for checking the video out!

    What I wonder about a two person interview is how you set the aperture and adjust the focus.
    I had it once where the focus was on one person and the other person was out of focus.

    Brilliant video Griffin, and great energy! Don’t you use a long spigot in the c-stand, but the back end of the arm, or I’m I wrong? If so, what is the benefit of using the other end of the boom arm rather than a spigot in the grip? Thank you

    I don't think you mentioned the white sound blanket on the floor. I suspect it's helping and I wonder if even a bit more light from below would have been more flattering here?

    • @GriffinConway
      @GriffinConway  Год назад

      Hey Thomas, I knew we missed something 😂😂 nice catch. Yes I have a few of those sound blankets. On this shoot we ran the white side for just a tiny bit more fill and to help cut down on the echo. I have the sound blankets linked in one of my other interviews videos. I can’t remember the exact name at the moment though! Haha

  • @andrewravera9449
    @andrewravera9449 6 месяцев назад

    I'm curious about the blanket in front of them? Is that to help cut down on reflective noise, or are you using it for gear to not damage the floor, or both? Thanks for the breakdown on this!

    • @GriffinConway
      @GriffinConway  6 месяцев назад +1

      It’s a white/black blanket. Kills sound reverberation and also provides a little bit of fill from underneath 🤙

    @The_Daliban Год назад

    First of all, thank you for the BTS🙏🏻
    Quick question. I want to film interviews and talking heads for corporations and small businesses.
    Setup i am thinking for starters:
    3 FX3s (2 on Tripods, 1 on a slider), Zoom F6 recorder with Sennheiser MKH 416s, Sennheiser ME2s lav mics as backup or main audio,
    2 Aputure 600ds, 2 300ds, still no Monitor in mind (hollyland probably)
    Your Setup is amazing but at this point way overkill and too expensive for me.
    Do you recon this is enough for 2 person interviews? Or are there major flaws?
    (Sorry for long post😅)❤️

    • @GriffinConway
      @GriffinConway  Год назад +1

      I think thats a great setup. I originally started with a much smaller setup and eventually over time built this up to what it is now. Seems like you have all your cameras/lighting/audio covered very well. Good luck with the interview and feel free to check out the other interview videos I have on my channel!
