Kansas City metropolitan area, which straddles the Missouri-Kansas state line and has a population of 2,392,035. Recent drone footage includes major pro sports stadiums and downtown view from the distance due to close airport proximity.
GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium - Open-air stadium that's home to pro football's Kansas City Chiefs, also hosting big-name music acts.
Kauffman Stadium - Pro-baseball complex including the Royals Hall of Fame
Children's Mercy Park - home of the city's Major League Soccer team, Sporting Kansas City.
Kansas Speedway - 72,000-seating-capacity motorsports facility for NASCAR races & other auto-related events.

Interesting theme of sporting venues. Wasn't expecting that.
Yes. Downtown is off limits due to close airport proximity limiting flying so I figured this would be best idea to feature the city via pro sports venues. I know Kansas mostly by soccer or football.
@@chrisbiela I was going to do some flying there since I have family in the area. That memorial was one of the things I was going to shoot. But yeah, there would have to be a ton of LAANC approval for most of the downtown area. And even then a lot of 100'-200' ceilings.
I was able to get close to the memorial but not over it. It is within the 5 mile radius NFZ. Downtown would be nice to capture but I was happy with the sports idea of the city anyway so some distance shots did the job.:)

@@mister816702 Jackson county has a smaller economy and less density than JOCO. Seems like more of a suburb. Actually I know kcmo very well and have heard multiple shootings there and seen how sketch it is everywhere
@@iknowdeweybrudda6564 and yet, no one outside of the area knows what Johnson county is... Here, we know it's just county that mooches off of a major city and would be cornfields if it weren't for the city across the state line that they can pull resources from...
