Dave was only 6 years old when he and his brother (Yakov, who was 7) were separated from their parents in Czechoslovakia. In this video, Dave also congratulations Sir Nicholas Winton on his Golden Goody Award (lifetime achievement award) that is being presented this week in conjunction with the U.S. release of the documentary, "Nicky's Family" (Dave is also in this film) that includes interviews with Sir Nicholas Winton, survivors, children and grandchildren who are now doing good to give back. Sir Nicholas Winton is a hero & a saint. What happened to the Nobel Prize so obviously deserved! Brilliant - rare power of goodness amid the evil from Germany.

Mr. Winton said people are too focused on the past, and not on what's happening now. As we watch thousands of Syrians, Libyans, Tunisians and other drown in the Mediterranean, fleeing from tyranny and terrorism in their home countries, we can see he is right. We should all make the choice of Sir Winton and HELP them. Stand with the oppressed and give them aid. Open our doors to these people and create a bond of solidarity that will last centuries.

Except not at all. This is the same situation. There are hundreds of thousands of children in desperate need. Please try and say that these 2 3 4 year olds are jihadis. Despicable. Absolutely despicable. +sallynse

+anne z The is huge difference. Syrians are able to stay in Lebanon , Jordan or Turkey and be safe.Children in 1939 don't have such option , it was question death or life.

marcushl anyone that says or thinks 2-3-5 yr olds are jihadis seems like one that has no kids or his own.
