When I was in basketball I would make these two days before a game and then share them with the team . Very delicious , and gives you an energetic boost. Hahah
When you said that they gave you energy and you were a basket ball player, I was expecting you to be good and when you said "I said they give them energy, not a good player" that got me there
Thanks. My son and I watch anime together and although Haikyuu got him more interested in volleyball I know he'll still go crazy when I make these for his next tournament.
ooh yesss, i love Kuroko and his basketball. i remember the honey lemon slices looking as good as studio ghibli food haha. thanks for the helpful recipe and cute video!
I got a Basketball game tomorrow and i've secretely been training to dunk and i think tomorrow is the day. But since we got 2 back to back games, i need something to replenish us which led me to this. Thank you for your service ma'am 👊🏼
Wonderful! I would like to know how you freeze them so that the lemon slices do not stick together -Do you put all of them in a container, or do you separate them with a particular type of paper/plastic?. I work at a cafeteria and I'm trying to find ways to have lemon & orange slices always available and ready to decorate our beverages - It'll help us save time by not having to cut the fruits on the spot. When frozen, how long do they remain in good condition? Thank you in advance!
Thank you! I saw the lemon snack in that basketball anime show. I was wondering if it was a real snack. Thank you for sharing. I will try to make it and share it with my sports fencing’s buddies🤗
Honestly I looked this up because I saw kurokos and I recently started exercising. But I thought I was stupid to look up "how to make basketball lemons from kuroko no basket" so instead I looked up how to make those lemons they make in basketball. And this came up, lol ty
ahhhhhhh i love it!!! (and never think you look stupid being weird is better embrace the weird!!) plus anime food is life and we need to make it a reality
@@ElisesEatsChannel My mom is asking why I made this and btw I didn’t see this from the anime series I saw it on tiktok from a basketballer. What should I tell her that it just give you a energy boost? I’m a football(soccer) player so hopefully they will work👍
@@yoshibald8958 Its mainly a quick way of being refreshed, replenishing electrolytes and a burst of sugar or energy. (when you do high-intensity sport for more than 20-30 minutes you start using your carbohydrate or glycogen stores (usually about 45 minutes these can be used up). therefore having a break and having some carbohydrates in sugar (honey) BAM extra energy for you. Similar to having oranges at half time, sugar or a sports drink in theory.
I instantly clicked because I saw Elise which is my name is well and I love knb and that's why I wanted to look up a recipe like this and and I find this gold 🍋🍋💕
before I watch this today, yesterday I was trying to make it bit the supermarket was closed, and I don't have any lemon so my mother told me to use lime.
I have had them in the fridge for about a week but drain the fluid because they can get too soggy/ soft. i'd recommend freezing if not having within the week
Nice, I've been making these and eating it after gym class. Sometimes it taste bitter lol, I don't know it is because i used different honey or lemons.
Could you bake these at a low temp to dry them out maybe? Like after they sat and candied for a couple of days, I'd love to try to bake them at a super low temp for an hour or two to see if they dehydrate. I could pack them up and give them as gifts to some of my tea loving friends!
Aiko Ragonaroku oh I actually just tried this yesterday! It did work, however they were still sticky, so I just put the slices between pieces of parchment paper and put them in a container in the fridge. They’re great to add to some hot tea!
Hi! Thank you so much for this question! It sounds awesome, if I were to do this I would try to bake it on a wire rack so that the heat and air can circulate the lemons, drying them out for a good 4-5 hours at a very low temperature. Or, if you are lucky the able to afford one, try a food dehydrator!! (I do not have this luxury) sorry for the late reply I didn't see this before and have been studying like crazy for exams!
it can be i would recommend more lemon water without honey as this is a sugar and that's where the calories will come from. you could always do this and drip the lemon of most of the liquid and it could make a great and refreshing snack. its designed to give energy at half time so it does have a few calories but not a huge amount XD
I have never tried using the same honey before, you could try but it is a lot more watery after and it might make them taste more bitter. the honey is supposed to partially crystalize the lemon. this removes some of the liquid and might not work as the honey is diluted and you get some of the tartness from the lemon. You could try it and just add a bit more honey to it.
ohhhhh i love fruits basket!!! I will look into it. we are abit swamped with assignments and getting together with covid restrictions but would love it!!
I love Kuroko no basket I bought the anime and I got my mom addicted to the anime😓😂😂😂. I've been searching for the recipe thank you for sharing 💖💖💖💖💖. I just made them can't wait to try them😆😆.

Nice, I've been making these and eating it after gym class. Sometimes it taste bitter lol, I don't know it is because i used different honey or lemons.
it's probably bc lemon zest
it might be the amount of the white part of the rind that is what can make the lemons more bitter. try and find lemons with thinner white rind
I just did it so tempting to eat it

Yesss
I love anime and this video was so cute I had to subscribe. Maybe try the curry Riko kept messing up? Lol
ohhhhhhh yes!!!!
Can i ask something can you reuse the honey for another batch?
I have never tried using the same honey before, you could try but it is a lot more watery after and it might make them taste more bitter. the honey is supposed to partially crystalize the lemon. this removes some of the liquid and might not work as the honey is diluted and you get some of the tartness from the lemon. can you reuse the honey after and add more lemons?
you might be able to but it becomes quite watery and might become bitter due to the whites of the lemons. I haven't tried it but I'm sure you could
coming from imamu. thanks for ur recipe

If u don't wanna get diabetus, mix the honey with water.
If it doesn't mix well, or you don't wanna stier for ages, mix it with hot water.
