Obviously martyr's family got around 1crore but remember that this money is not from govt but from insurance company who deducted money from his salary throughout his job.
It's better for the tax payer if insurance company pays out the compensation not tax money. Unless you are a Rahul Gandu supporter in which case you won't see any difference in both coz you don't pay tax anyway.

Insurance company did verification faster and initiated compensation but government is yet to do police verification, slow process by government.

Group insurances or bank a/c linked insurances are nothing to do with compensation from govt ??
Group insurances were purchased by the army for death. Agniveer scheme literally says that. It wasn't self purchased.
Group insurance is deducted from employees
Premium is paid from salary paid by government.
Group insurance is of the army for which premium is paid from government funds
A/c linked scheme insurance benefit is specifically for agniveers because they are enrolled under agnipath scheme.
It's like you saying your employer is the reason you're getting your salary and not because of your parents and teachers who made you qualified enough to earn.
The issue is the persons family is getting a compensation.who is distributing the money is not the issue.

Once Agniveer gets appointed, does 6month training. Then, he will be able to give service for 3.6 years. Out of which, last one year will be his preparation for retirement.he will be able to do one and half service. What efficiency they will have. They are burden for regular personal. This is not the problem of agniveer and this is poor policy of government.
Don't mislead. There is no retirement. It is a temporary job of 4 years. After 4 years, 25% are made permanent for 15 years. And there is no such thing as preparing for retirement. People have to serve till last day.
Agniveer should get the same facilities as regular soldiers in case of death or disabilities.
Rahul Gandhi categorically stated that Agniveer Ajay Singh did not get any compensation with MoD Rajnath Singh saying that Ajay Singh's family received One Crore Rupees.. The subsequent video released by him showed that Ajay Singh's parents saying that they did not receive any payments but later saying that they indeed received Rs. 98 Lacs. When all this is pieced together, it was Rahul Gandhi who was lying!!! Secondly, SSC Officers either opting out of Defence Forces or discharged from Services after their tenure also are not given pension, medical venifits or CSD Canteen Facilities. Is it right to say that SSC should also be abolished?
An agniveer receives a monthly Salary of Rs. 30,000/- with usual allowances and increments for hardships etc equivalent to an regular soldier. On Discharge he is paid a lumpsum of around Rs.11 Lacs. I do agree that the scheme can be tweeked to say seven yeas of service with job assurance in Para-Military Forces after discharge from the defence forces..It is totally wrong to say that an agniveer is left in lurch as per Rahul Gandhi. When Rahul Gandhi says that he would abolish Agniveer Scheme if he comes to power, will he also abolish SSC Officer Recruitments, which was introduced by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru after the debacle of 1962 War with China with a tenure of 5years of Service?
The ICICI insurence , every agniveer have a salary account(Deffence salary account) in Sbi, hdfc, icici or some big bank . It is special account type design for agniveer only where this insurence provided....

Agniveers won't get the title of Ex-servicemen. They won't get that ex-servicemen Card. There are announcements by various state gov. to accommodate agniveers in Gov services but yet not a written promise

You need to buy a TERM insurance. That's what Ajay Singh was having from Icici Prudential..

The facts are not correctly put forth by your reporter, looks like he is more inclined towards hiding the facts!
There is accident insurance given banks for account and card holders, but it is normally in the range of only 2-3 lakhs. So if this martyred Agnivesh has received 50 lakhs, it is only because the Government / Army has signed a MOU with the financial institution.
Also, the insurance provided by the Army Institution is paid for by the Government. Whether the Government directly pays the compensation or the soldier gets paid through the insurance, it is a matter of policy. With due regards to the martyred soldier and his family, they have received close to 1 crore in compensation and are set to receive another 67 lakhs.
1.65 Crore is not peanuts !

Insurance is a different thing. while Rahul Gandhi mentioned about compensation where Mr. Rajnath singh calling as 1 Crore. Plz. note that Insurance premium are deducted from monthly payout/salaries/honourarium etc (which may not mention clearly) for an agniveers. It is not given from the Central Government. Still all the Agniveers seems not known the exact amount of compensation from the Government.

The government should consider increasing the term to 8 years as there is in Short Service Commission in Army and give pension, health insurance and CSD benefits to living personnel and their families as well.
Why must we lose a life for the latter to be true. There are many corporate entities whose loans have been written off, certainly the government can afford to pay pension to personnels instead of that.

The soldier pays the premium from his salary. Insurance money is not equal to compensation.

It doesn’t specify how that money is awarded - direct or indirect. Both are included.
If no insurance without premium then government is paying compensation by paying premium.
