Appreciate you posting one of them real days. I’m sure you questioned it but it’s still entertaining to see those not so great days. Thought I was the only fool that heads out on the yak in questionable conditions 😂. Course fish in the box is rad any day ha! I started bringing blue crab on the yak as well…just in case. Still no bull on the yak for me. Some day tho 😁
Hope you get that bull soon! But man, when we gotta get out on the water, we gotta go no matter the conditions lol. Not always the smartest but sometimes it works out🙌
Top water action is my favorite! Those strikes always get the adrenaline pumping! That place does get rough, especially around that corner by the dock! We need to go back and try again! I always have the best luck for the bulls with bait I catch there or along the launch shore. About 1” pieces of fresh cut mullet usually do the trick. Keep up the awesome content! I love the slow showcase of the fish!
Another great video! The rare times I sit and soak bait, I use the time to catch blue crabs with a string tied to a piece of chicken and a net. It keeps me busy while waiting, and I end up with a few dozen crabs for dinner!
Great video! Tough luck losing the trout getting stuck in the net. That happened to me yesterday as well. Luckily it was just a large ladyfish but it burns when you lose a fish like that for sure
Yeah, I really like the GFL. Great all around inshore rod for decent price. I do prefer the St Croix Triumph for around the same cost but the tip has broken on me more than once. The GFLs seem to be more durable for sure.
Way to make it happen man! Got on good afternoon bite. My experience targeting bull reds is that it’s either 🔥 or 😴. Hook up with Ace, that dude has been wearing them out
I love fishing Mill Cove, and that 2nd area you're in, is one of my favorites. It has a bunch of little oyster mounds, I usually hit them with my jon boat! I should have sprung on that blue kayak, some dude was selling on facebook! Great video!
A blue kayak that I’m familiar with? Lol I just never seen anyone fish over there and thought let’s give a try. Can’t believe I caught all those fish there. Def a small strike area though, drift too far and nothing. Glad you enjoyed the video🙌
Saw your previous vlog about your new Kayak... Appreciate your vlogs in the JAX area, am here as well. Most of my fishing would be from the banks as I don't have a YAK.... Keep the vlogs coming...
You should try fishing the windward at beach marina under the bridge their is tons of mangrove snapper and trout bait of choice mud minnows from the bait shop called Jacksonville beach bait and tackle.
Just kayak camped that island last weekend. No pole/gear, but I saw a lot of activity during slack outgoing, especially on the north side where the retention ponds flow out ;)
I know what you mean about soaking baits, always feels like the fish are blowing up elsewhere and you’re missing out. Maybe an attempt with better conditions, keep trying! I want to see that reel put through the ringer
Thank you! But You’re right….probably time for a new net😅 Way too many net malfunctions loll. And I don’t have any scupper plugs yet for this kayak like my previous one. I’ll prob get some soon before it gets cold here in FL. Thanks for watching!🤙
Nice Red! That water was movin! Got a question for you - what jigheads do you use? I don't know much about weight or brands or anything. I just wanna have some info for when I go inshore. I heard for Sheepshead I'd want to use a J-hook. What you think? 🤙🏻🍻
Bro, it was crazy how much water was moving that day. Combined with the wind, it got pretty rough out there. As far as jigheads, I only use Eyestrike brand. Specifically Trouteye in 1/4oz and 3/16oz. Those should work for all your inshore fishing. For sheepshead, I use octopus hooks or Jhooks, if you plan to try the Carolina jig setup. Most people use the bottom sweeper jigs and have huge success. I’m not a sheepshead jighead guy though. Check out my Amazon store, shows all the stuff I use🤙
Look at North Florida Angler. He fishes all around your area and catches giants. Mayport area was his most recent. Check him out. Great info on bull reds.
Oh yeah, he always fishes with Charles (hookem in the mouth). I’ve seen him on a few videos with Charles. Will def check out his channel. Thanks for the info!
Only luck I've had with bull reds is under a bridge in the channel with an 8 oz sinker, or at the end of the jettis. Used crab like you did, but had to contend with the bonnet heads. 🤷
Probably more salt than fresh. Def more salt during incoming tide. And yes, I’ve seen a gator that lives in mill cove but it was a little more east of where I was
Nice! Made a great day out of a poor day! Awesome!
Thanks! Man that wind was brutal, so glad I found some fish🙌

Great way to finish Trong! Persistence pays off!
Appreciate it Greg! Almost another🦨😅😂
Way to save the day with some very nice afternoon catches. It looked a little dicey - stay safe out there.
Thank you sir! That last spot really saved the day🙌🙌
bro knows some spots !!

Bro….so rough around that corner😓😓Let me know when you’re ready! You gotta show me how it’s done!💪💪
That top water action was sick man!! Keep it up, can’t wait till the next one!
Thank you! Topwater has to be the best way to fish. Nothing like see those blowups🔥
Deym Dude! I got the same net and I hate! 😅 good fishing man!
Thanks bro! We both need new nets though lol
Nice video!
🙏🙏
30 " on cotton candy p 4:53 5:00 5:02 5:20 addle tail . Look for birds. Normally for big reds 14 ft. Deep. 2 hours before high tide
Wow, that’s amazing info. Thanks so much for sharing!👊👊

Such a good idea! If I find myself soaking bait again in the future, will def give that a try. Thank you!🤙
Fisherman's Life. Vietnamese food is the bomb. ❤😅😊
Yessir! Thank you!🤙
Very nice video. Looks like thing really heated up late on. Those were some nice reds.
Definitely saved the day! Thanks for watching!
nice fishing bro , awesome to se your channel grow!
Thanks brother! Wait until next week. I have a BIG surprise! Someone you know is visiting FL👀😂
Great video! Tough luck losing the trout getting stuck in the net. That happened to me yesterday as well. Luckily it was just a large ladyfish but it burns when you lose a fish like that for sure
Sure does burn! I gotta do a better netting job next time. Especially on fish like that😅 Thanks for watching!🤙
I have a few of those GLF rods and bought that new model the other day. I love them for fishing here inshore in Saint Augustine.
Yeah, I really like the GFL. Great all around inshore rod for decent price. I do prefer the St Croix Triumph for around the same cost but the tip has broken on me more than once. The GFLs seem to be more durable for sure.
@@VISUAL-LY yeah for the price they’re really solid.

Thanks bro! Ace goes out there it wouldn't be such a great idea for kayaks😅 I'm gonna have to try again near a small bridge I think🤞
@ no fear man 😅

Great content as always.
Appreciate it!🍻

Fish from land or launch kayak there?
Smashed the trout out that sum mum ma fish! 🎣 nice topwater bite. I hate when they get off at the boat. That topwAter red was nice though!
Man I wish that red was a monster trout lol. Love that topwater though! Really happy you’re back on the kayak and posting again bro!💪💪
@ we definitely getting together bro!

lol I’ll try it again soon. Maybe different location and better weather. Just hate sitting and waiting😂😂
One of my favorite spots!
💯💯
I've seen a few big red bulls caught from the Reddie Point Dock. They're out there.
I suspect they’re out there. Just such a tough place to fish from a kayak. Might have to give the dock a try. Thanks for the info!
It’s time to retire that net brother you loose so many that way. Nice video and does that kayak always hold water 💦 like that 😮
Thank you! But You’re right….probably time for a new net😅 Way too many net malfunctions loll. And I don’t have any scupper plugs yet for this kayak like my previous one. I’ll prob get some soon before it gets cold here in FL. Thanks for watching!🤙

@VISUAL-LY Information noted 🖋️ Thank you bro 🤙🏻
Try the zmann chatterbait on those windy days, trust
I’ll look it up. Thank you!
I like using finger mullet, for big reds, and trout, and keeper size Snook
Yeah, they been hitting at the little jetties on finger mullet
Need to try that. Thanks!

Sounds a little too sketch for a kayak at those locations😅Wish I could
@VISUAL-LY 💯! Was in a boat. 😆
@@wrongthinkerjuan2362 lol
Is that fresh water or salt? Also, any gators?
Probably more salt than fresh. Def more salt during incoming tide. And yes, I’ve seen a gator that lives in mill cove but it was a little more east of where I was
great video! lets fish sometime
💯Thank you!
You were close to the bulls
How close? Lol
The dock at the navy fuel depot
Your content is excellent, thanks. P/u a 0ack of soft-baits on me.
Exactly what I’ll get too! Down to half a pack left😅 Thanks so much! So appreciative of your support!🙏👊🤙
