Alchemy Custom Weaponry Quantico- It's "Gangster"

  • It's exciting to finally be posting a video with a gun built by the company I work for. Alchemy Custom Weaponry is one of the premier semi-custom 1911 makers in the world and it is an honor to be employed by such a patriotic company. With that said, you better believe this is a biased video, as I obviously work for the company, but have also been a fan since long before working here.
The AGW Quantico is one of the sexiest rail guns in existence.

I like your “story time” format on focusing on one gun. Thats the way I was raised too. Guns are personal things that carry stories with them. What if when you run out of your guns to talk about you do a “friends of Eli” series and talk about buddies gun stories.

Alchemy should do a pistol called "the gangster" and build it influenced by 1911s from the 20s and 30s and chamber it in 38 super, the favorite of actual gangsters from back in the day. That would really show the people who get so upset by the word gangster lol. By the way fellow North Carolina boy from the foothills here, really enjoying the channel brother, keep it gangster!

I’m a freaking history freak I love the history. I also like hearing about the history of my favorite manufacturers. Such as Colt,CZ,Walther,Smith&Wesson,Ruger,Beretta, Now with that said I like how your bringing names forward in the custom game. I also like reloading and casting my own ammo. Idk if you do that but if so maybe talk about some reloading. Ammo and the ammo manufacturers don’t get a lot of attention. And in my opinion I think they should. Because if you don’t have ammo what’s the point in owning firearms????

The content is great so far. I also enjoy when you delve into the history of the 1911, specific guns, etc. Maybe other historical content related in one way or another to the 1911 or a specific 1911.

Loved the diversion with the commercial Smith 1917 revolver. Loved the KH Novak Answer custom and anything like that and on Swenson (and that bluish hard chrome!), Clark, history of custom 1911s, etc. is always good and appreciated. I think the Texas Rangers use of the 1911 is fertile ground for exploration. Gun writer Sheriff Jim Wilson used to point out that a lot of Rangers went straight from Colt SAAs to 1911s and skipped DA revolvers altogether. Know you like the pre-war period with 1911s and this is a good fit for that.

That Safariland w/mods is epic. I am super jealous. Of course your pistols speak for themselves. Thanks for posting, I just subbed, I really enjoy your content.

Honestly, what irks me about modern gun culture is the common meme that the 1911 works “well”, but is obsolete or obsolescent when compared to modern handguns. Obviously, this is complete horseshit, as we all know, but a video describing “why” 1911s are king would be a great topic for a video in my opinion. I truly believe that a quality 1911 is superior in just about every way to a modern handgun, no hyperbole or sarcasm here.
That video that tfb tv did a while back on that alchemy got me riled up, tbh. I couldn’t disagree more with the initial comments about how he would never recommend someone buy a 1911 for defensive use, and that the only value 1911s have anymore is simply the heritage and aesthetic of it. This common meme of the 1911 being outdated and not good enough for defensive or offensive use really has to die, I fundamentally disagree with this at core level. So, because Gaston Glock came out with a cheap reliable plastic gun back in the 80s that holds a bunch of rounds with a trigger “safety”, this means that a quality 1911 is now “outdated”? A video talking about why the 1911 was, and still is, king, would be a breath of fresh air in this cesspit of polymer pussies.
