The original is definitely an underrated gem. It’s got some creepy moments and some good action. The lore is so great and can definitely be explored more
I'm not a fan of Keanu. Never have been, never will be. But I loved Constantine. I'm really stoked about a sequel if it's true. I've heard him mention it somewhere, but I thought it was just a rumour. I'm into it
I introduced my wife to the first one last week she loved it. But the ending for me was a bit rushed, but I am also excited about seeing Keanu coming back if this movie happens.
I literally just watched it again on prime today. I would rather have 4 constantine movies with Reeves than 4 john wicks. it doesn't work for me without Reeves. I tried to watch the TV series with the other guy and I couldn't get into it. I tried to watch the animated stuff but I couldn't get into it. I love the world, the characters, the style, just do that with a different story and I'm there
I hope not. Regardless of its outstanding supporting cast roster, Keanu Reeves was hopelessly miscast in the first movie. Besides, Matt Ryan after how many years of portraying John Constantine, totally owns that role. The only reason he won't be in it is that he's not a "bankable", read: 80s - 90s star.
@@ricklp1861 We're agreed on that one for the most part. I did like Reeves as "Neo", though... While Matt Ryan was taking a cigarette break, as a course of my work at the venue, I met him on a "Legends Of Tomorrow" shoot in Vancouver. He asked for a light and I obliged. Through the course of our brief conversation, I told him he played Constantine as though he was born to play the character. The "City of Demons" animated movie had been just released and I was blown away. I absolutely loved the 13 ep NBC series he was in and was enjoying his Legends turns in that series. He told me he loved playing that character, that there were more animateds in the pipe line and shaking my hand, thanked me before he returned to set.
It feels like a cash grab. Love Keanu in this role. Not a comic accurate JC, but dope. I’d rather see him play someone else in DC or marvel-Johnny Blaze or Norrin Radd. Unless they make him apart of Gunns universe and he’s putting Del Toro on it. I don’t wanna see a half-hammed sequel.
I was really hoping we’d move on. The character of Constantine deserves so much better. The character they wrote for Keanu Reevee isn’t even close. Constantine is so much cooler and witty. I was really hoping they’d start fresh. End this never ending cycle of nostalgia please.
This is one of those sequels that the general audience has been asking for since that first film. As long as they find a way to keep the budget under $100 million I don’t see why not?

This is a great idea. The first Constantine I really like. It would be awesome if Peter Stormare came back as Lucifer.
I'd rather get a faithful adaptation in the DCU than another Keanstantine movie that's Constantine in name only.
Dc had two John Constantine marvel only had one blade
Was the TV series blade not marvel
Loved this movie, it got me into the source material the Hellblazer graphic novels. Hope they make a 2nd one!

He's miscast in every movie except bill&ted! He's a natural in that one

@@ricklp1861John Wick? Neo? Johnny Utah?
Um no. The first movie was a classic. And we all been waiting for number 2
Matt Ryan is so freaking good as John Constantine that I wish he was a part of James Gunn's DCU.
I don't mind Keanu returning as John Constantine as long as he doesn't try to mimic John Wick persona.
It's going to happen

Keanu is always playing "Ted" in every movie hes on😮😅
The first one wasn't the best movie but since it's Keanu and people love him they'll try it and see if it really lands with the audience
I loved the first Constantine not judging cause it had Keanu reeves in it
Desperate studio cash grab. Original isn't even very good!
everything is a cash grab
Does anyone really want this? Matt Ryan was a way better Constantine. I'd personally rather see a new Constantine movie in the DCU.
I enjoyed the first Constantine as it's own fun fantasy action film, but a terrible adaptation of the source
