For some weird reason I'm really happy that Bumpkin showed up at the end of Cry's game :D I mean, he was Cry's loyal companion for this whole playthrough, so he definitely deserved to be present in this new masterpiece!
Neptunella But lets be honest here ... putting helicopter blades on a creature you want to fly on top of might not be the best of ideas ... Good thing pie was careful and put the propeller blades on the sides, i would've preffered if it had a jetpack or rocket shoes or something like that :D
Wow. I'm stunned. This game really put a lot of things in a perspective that most games don't : that of the creator. Knowing the feeling of a game you've made practically being your child, the hardships of failure when it's received poorly, the feeling of success when it does well. And the buttload of stress that comes with it. And I just realized: Ish's first words in the cold intro of the game talked about his father's ring that the old man would play with. He said "What if he lost it? Would he lose mom? Would he lose me?" It's Ish's story, but from the father's perspective. He "lost" his child in the fact that he was sterile, and he lost his wife soon after. And even when he decided to make the game his child... He still wasn't able to do that. He was "sterile" in the sense that he couldn't make a child, even out of his game, as he never finished it. And in the end, fans mobbed him for the sequel to something he's already lost, and he lost control of the only thing he had left. The Magic Circle in the end screen wasn't even a circle anymore. It was a square.
+Monique Kalu The game also made clear why some devs (especially PC game devs) don't want to include a modding tool even when there's a high demand for it. It's their baby child that they put hours to years of work and buttloads amount of money into. Great game with a great message and is sending that message without being too pretentious. It's neat.
I must admit, I find it really amusing that Old Pro keeps breaking the sequence of your game - considering that you're notorious for doing the exact same thing! The number of playthroughs I've seen from you where you've gotten curious about something, gone into an area you weren't supposed to be in yet and triggered an event or cutscene that you weren't supposed to see yet...
Has it finally happened? Has someone finally made a game that actually has something MEANINGFUL to say in terms of meta commentary about completionism, and player interaction, and the need to compete? ... Maybe not but it was still awesome to see!
I love it when a game ends and I feel... satisfied? Like, I'm just genuinely happy with how it ended. There's no wishing there were more, or being sad it's over. Sometimes I just feel really down in the dumps when a good game ends. But not this time. I'm just happy to have been on this journey with you, Cry, and other viewers. This was a good game.
In a way, it makes me want more in that the different ways to go about things in this game make me wanna buy it myself and try other things instead (just like Cry suggested towards the end :P)! I kinda wanna see if you can do things like "break" the game by going out-of-bounds, like maybe climbing places you normally wouldn't go or something, or just straight up explore everywhere and mess around with stuff in general. Might buy the game myself some day to do things like that, even though I just watched Cry's entire let's play of it!
When Coda called it The Magic Circle. I immediately said. Me: No you are playing The Walking Dead: Episode One By Telltale. Then Cry came out and said Cry: No your playing The Walking Dead Episode One.. By Telltale When I heard that I squeed so hard!
Episode two already came out, along with the rest of the season. Hell, even season two has already finished and starfather is already in the middle of season three
It's been a while since I've watched a full playthrough series and I gotta say... I'm considering this entire gaming channel stuff once again. Leave it to Cry to destroy any doubts I had about watching these kinds of videos. Good job bud, thanks again.
Hay dude that was legit entertaining. Obviously lots to say about what an interesting and creative game this is, but I really appreciate your presentation, specially time-lapsing the final level creation and letting us see it from the perspective of Old Pro.
This game is just so well thought out, it's not just a very interesting concept, but it works really well. Switching the player and developer's roles is something I'd never expect from a game
Damn this is well made. And it has enough replayablity at the end (weird thing to say), that it's good for purchasing a copy of my own. Which I will, this is awesome!
This was awesome!!!! So well thought out! Thanks for playing this, Cry! Your commentary style really helped bring out the best in it! Also the ending with Coda was absolutely hilarious!!!
Cry, I loved your let's play of this game, and after I had watched the first episode I immediately went and bought it myself. I don't regret it at all, and I'm glad you showed this one to all of us!
You know. Honestly this was a good play through, a good game as well. The story didn't hook me in and make me feel as much as I thought it would. And the game itself went a completely different way than I thought it would in the beginning. So, yea.... this was pretty fun.
This was an amazing game holy crap--WOW. So creative tbh :D And to be able to 'make the game' and 'hear someone's thoughts' on said game is amazing xD Thanks for sharing this game to us, Cry :D
cry, i would play your episode one, i really would, you made quite an interesting game in a game with what you were given. you were amazing in this. and in everything else really but yeah. cool job.
I rarely like a game well enough to pay for it but damn Cry, first I see Bioshock and love it enough to buy all the games to play it and now this! Thanks for introducing me to this game. I'm going to support these guys for sure. I want the soundtrack from this game too, beautiful violins holy hell. Also, you should really create your own game some day, I would buy that shit.
+TheVerminGod If you're a game developer, then damn it, get your arse in gear and make us a really good animal simulation game! Cats would be nice. Or a decent zoo management game with decent graphics and animal AI.
I watched part of part four and life swept me away. I came back, finished part four, and now I just opened this video crying. I really don't want this to be over, it's such a good game, I plan on playing it myself when I can, I just really don't want Cry's commentary for it to be over.
I. Fucking. LOVE. This. Game. I loved the editting streams. I love the sense of wonder you had, Cry. We can all tell how happy you were playing it. So many new ideas and concepts that were implemented SPECTACULARLY. I love this game. I LOVE THIS GAME. I FUCKING LOVE THIS GAME. Thank you Cry :3
I adore unique, intricate games like this. Especially when Cry gets to fiddle and get really invested in the characters/creatures/plot/etc. The sheer joy after that last game is truly infectious. This is why I watch Let's Plays.
MAN. That ending was god damn cool. I love it, I love what it implies, I love everything about the final sequence. This game was brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. I'm so happy this exists. And I really really hope that at least *one* person playing through the creation bit at the end gets inspired to take it further and create something entirely their own. So well done.
I was kinda expecting maybe it would end with this big reveal in which the "god" character turns out to be some terrible virus that you unleash onto the internet and everywhere. There's always Magic Circle: Part Deux
This is one of the most charming indie games from recent memory to me. Such a wonderful game. Thank you for this enjoyable series, Cry. I'm happy to see you loved the experience so much, and that you got really into crafting that demo.
I did not expect to see such an amazing game when I first clicked into the series. But holy... that was awesome. It was humorus, had a really nice concept, Voice acting and Art style (well, all the different art styles used) were on point. The story was intriguing, and I had SO much fun watching Cry playing and enjoying the game. Very Well done.
I honestly wish the game didn't end so soon. I just loved the concept of this. It's refreshing to see new ideas being put into a single game. They did a beautiful job and like you said, Cry, I can't wait to see more from the company. Thanks for playing the game!
Honestly aside from maybe Firewatch, this has to be my favorite Cry play through. The story was fantastic, Cry was definitely the type of person to play this game, and overall I and many others loved it alone with Cry. What a fun experience.
This has to be one of the coolest games I have ever seen! The idea and concept were so unique! the gameplay was cool and the audio log things were a neat touch as well. Everything was just so cool and interesting.
After a Let's Play series you didn't enjoy so much, this game made us all happy because you were happy. You enjoyed every second of this game that's why we enjoyed as well. So, do what you're happy to do. We're always here to watch the videos you made with love.
Absolutely love the fan art!!! You guys are so creative!! And this game !!! My goodness I love it so much. I really wish I had the money to go out and buy it myself. Devs did such a good job ❤️ love it guys
This is a stunning game.... how they go from the first part of morphing the game to fit your needs to an all out level creation actually playable by "old pro" is amazing and new.. The morals are great, the music is beautiful...
Wow, this was amazing, Cry! I got sucked in from the first video of the series. And in this one, wow. Game-ception! I feel like it's probably every gamer's dream to be involved in creating/developing a game of their own, or working on a team making one. If you or any of the other gaming RUclipsrs have to go away to do that dream job, I wouldn't mind one bit & I'd be so happy for you! Even though this was just a game, I feel like maybe that was a taste of that kind of experience! Always keep an eye out for opportunities if you're interested! Thanks for playing & showing us such a unique game!
In Ish terms, about your whole lifelong years just to complete a game! In your own terms, however: if you work very hard on it, should be about a year or two. If just going laidback halfway, about 3-4 years. Just my guess, but anything's possible!
+Maria Roudenko It is original guitar music by Steve Pardo (great composer and guitarist) made for the game. You can get the soundtrack as part of the deluxe edition (on sale now *plug*), or I think it is on bandcamp as well!
That was just pure beauty. An amazing game like none other. I also loved how Coda was voiced by the same gal who voiced Chloe Price from LiS. Love it. Love it all.
I'd never hear from this game if it wasn't for this channel. I'm glad I got to discover Cryaotic. Hope you keep doing whatever you are doing until you feel like not doing it anymore.
Man, I like how this wasn't just purely a game. It was also a parody of upstarting game creators, film directors, or anyone else in the creative field. Shows a little bit of what goes on in the inside where things are being made and decided. Love it 9/10.
I'm late to the party. Like, super late. But I watched this series all the way through, pausing only long enough to eat and drink properly. Just - the way you can *feel* the smile in his voice, it's just so fucking great. This is why I stuck around so many other youtubers, they had that feeling to them. But this is the first time I've heard it in forever. God I missed that.
It was so weird seeing my name in the credits lol, this was easily one of my favourite playthroughs Cry has done in a while!!! I'm so happy he had fun with this
this is a underrated game right? I love it! Cry always plays the games that the other popular gaming youtubers don't play. This is why I love his channel.
Amazing script on the game , and your custom level was so cool! I find it really interesting the call for 'one in a zillion' person that will feel inspired to create a great game and actually do it. I'm really happy with this ^^
For some weird reason I'm really happy that Bumpkin showed up at the end of Cry's game :D I mean, he was Cry's loyal companion for this whole playthrough, so he definitely deserved to be present in this new masterpiece!
+Neptunella Don't forget literal pie was there to, he didn't come as early as bumpkin but he was by far the second most helpful ;D
+ironmilutin Of course, Literal Pie was awesome! He carried Cry to victory so many times, so he fully deserved it too :D
Entire band of Motley crew was slow but he got useful with the parasite ability. But Bumpkin is my favorite.
Neptunella But lets be honest here ... putting helicopter blades on a creature you want to fly on top of might not be the best of ideas ... Good thing pie was careful and put the propeller blades on the sides, i would've preffered if it had a jetpack or rocket shoes or something like that :D
+Neptunella RIP LENNY ( ͡° ʖ̯ ͡°)
Wow. I'm stunned. This game really put a lot of things in a perspective that most games don't : that of the creator. The Magic Circle in the end screen wasn't even a circle anymore. It was a square.
BLA BLA BLA BLA!!! Its a good game....
+Danielle G. his name is The Griefer....I'm not sure what else you expected
+Monique Kalu The game also made clear why some devs (especially PC game devs) don't want to include a modding tool even when there's a high demand for it. It's their baby child that they put hours to years of work and buttloads amount of money into.
Great game with a great message and is sending that message without being too pretentious. It's neat.
+The Griefer ya know sometimes it's pretty nice to actually think :)
The writing in this is gold, whoever wrote the script did an amazing job!
Has it finally happened? Has someone finally made a game that actually has something MEANINGFUL to say in terms of meta commentary about completionism, and player interaction, and the need to compete? ... Maybe not but it was still awesome to see!
+underthepale Yes and they've done it over a year ago before other games like that come out as of late.
But that's just a coicidence.
"Get Mazed" I get the references.
Red vs. Blue of course
eyyyyy get sarged
I love it when a game ends and I feel... satisfied? Like, I'm just genuinely happy with how it ended. There's no wishing there were more, or being sad it's over. +Blargh Blarghity I think I might buy it as well. It's just such an exciting game!
The Magic Circle... Is a Square!
+Alexia's Shado That's what makes it Magic
+Alexia's Shado All these squares make a circle..
And that is the story of how The Walking Dead: Season 1 by Telltale was made.
Is this a letsplay of creating a game which the game makes a letsplay of?
This messes my marbles.

+She Her O-O *Breathing intensifies*
Q-Q I'm scared
this game was badass. beautifully designed and executed. 9/10
"It's perfect. 8/10" - IGN.

+Kuroda Cursus "Perpetuates the systemic cis-gendered hegemony. 1/10" - Kotaku.
+Marcara081 Literal Pie was the Origami Killer 34/69
This game actually has an awesome concept and I gotta say it was done really well.
All of the Pikachuck fanart killed me.
ikr! pikachuck was a great pal
It's such a nice feeling to hear Cry be so happy about a game :')
When Coda called it The Magic Circle. I immediately said.
Me: No you are playing The Walking Dead: Episode One By Telltale.
Then Cry came out and said
Cry: No your playing The Walking Dead Episode One.. By Telltale
When I heard that I squeed so hard!
XD goals
It was the best
+The412Lol Same here,I was like"HAAH,I knew ittttt.." xD
+The412Lol I giggled xD
The whole time Coda was playing I felt so awkward for some reason.
Hey starfather when is episode 2 coming out?
Episode two already came out, along with the rest of the season. Hell, even season two has already finished and starfather is already in the middle of season three
It's been a while since I've watched a full playthrough series and I gotta say... I'm considering this entire gaming channel stuff once again. Leave it to Cry to destroy any doubts I had about watching these kinds of videos. Good job bud, thanks again.

more like golden experience.
Hay dude that was legit entertaining. Obviously lots to say about what an interesting and creative game this is, but I really appreciate your presentation, specially time-lapsing the final level creation and letting us see it from the perspective of Old Pro.
Didn't expect to like this as much as I did at all, what a great game.
+Moggleberries Ikr? I thought it would be neat, but not this damn neat. :D
This game is off the scale weird, and I love it.
when cry changed the title of the game i felt like it was the most biggest plot twist ive ever experienced
Perfection within imperfection. This game is such an amazing treasure. Thanks for playing it, Cry.
This game is just so well thought out, it's not just a very interesting concept, but it works really well. Switching the player and developer's roles is something I'd never expect from a game
Love the fan picture whit picachuck XD best. Great game though it was fun and nice to listen to :)
Does this make you the CryFather
StarCry
That actually sounds like a star wars name, too.
oawh. it's a shame it's over, I loved watching this..
It's official. CryFather has been birthed.
Damn this is well made. And it has enough replayablity at the end (weird thing to say), that it's good for purchasing a copy of my own. Which I will, this is awesome!
"It's a flying eye, Hank. And the government loves it."
Cry, this has been a great play through. can't wait to see the next one man!
I just benged watched 3 hrs and 40 minutes worth of this series finishing it all without getting up once....I need help
Bumpkin won't be forgotten :3
Bumpkin and Literal Pie I think will join the ranks of Hewie as Cry's bestest video game buds
JeanRain17 yep :'3
As a beginning developer, don't worry Cry the game almost never works the first time.
The word "almost" is a bit ambitious there.
You know. Honestly this was a good play through, a good game as well. The story didn't hook me in and make me feel as much as I thought it would. And the game itself went a completely different way than I thought it would in the beginning. So, yea.... this was pretty fun.
Oh, no. Coda's stalking Cry. XD
+Eden Nodo Add it to the list.
+Bluestar84379437892 her and a number of people
Wait, that's it? Huh... Kinda didn't want it to end for a while. Ah well, amazing playthrough as ever Cry! I look forward to the next one!

Neat
He also did characters in a podcast called The Thrilling Adventure Hour.
This was an amazing game holy crap--WOW. So creative tbh :D And to be able to 'make the game' and 'hear someone's thoughts' on said game is amazing xD
Thanks for sharing this game to us, Cry :D
I'm sad this is over, this was such a unique and interesting game. I've never seen anything like it. Pretty rad.
Really cool game. Thanks for playing it Cry :)
cry, i would play your episode one, i really would, you made quite an interesting game in a game with what you were given. you were amazing in this. and in everything else really but yeah. cool job.

If I recall correctly cry narrated a game. Can't remember what it was though.
+James Saysonara Remember Pop Up Dungeon? I wonder what happened to that
Oh damn. Watching this was a BLAST! I am becoming a Coda right now. I love this!
Wait.. matt stone and trey parker in the special thanks? The South Park guys?
+Zulamun Yep. That's awesome
Great sereis cry! Thanks for sharing! i stopped watching part way through, bought the game finished it and came back!
This is really uplifting, maybe its cause I'm a game developer myself
+TheVerminGod If you're a game developer, then damn it, get your arse in gear and make us a really good animal simulation game!
Cats would be nice.
Or a decent zoo management game with decent graphics and animal AI.
I love cats....
Oh my, this game was just full of so much charm! I'm definitely buying this. There's so much for me to love about it.
So far this series has been really good, looking forward to finishing this last episode!

Am I the only one who thinks Cry as a dungeon master would be very entertaining
I was kinda expecting maybe it would end with this big reveal in which the "god" character turns out to be some terrible virus that you unleash onto the internet and everywhere. There's always Magic Circle: Part Deux
I knew you made the walking dead all along

Cry shall be the next Toby Fox.

this is one of the best games I've seen you play

+Buse Bayındır agreed - was so noticeable. Loved it even more for that alone :)
Absolutely love the fan art!!! You guys are so creative!! And this game !!! My goodness I love it so much. I really wish I had the money to go out and buy it myself. Devs did such a good job ❤️ love it guys

+Kuronosa i think long enough for another 2 videos.

Kuronosa *shush, he gave a smart answer. that's rare on the internet.*
Kuronosa Oh...Well, probably about 5 or 10 min, since she's rushing and whatnots
cry is apparently the shit when it comes to making games.
What's the "tinkering" music? Does anyone know?
+Maria Roudenko It is original guitar music by Steve Pardo (great composer and guitarist) made for the game. You can get the soundtrack as part of the deluxe edition (on sale now *plug*), or I think it is on bandcamp as well!
Thanks!
you knwo what? im so glad we're over that Darude-Sandstorm bullshit.
Ditto.
This was such a cool game! Thank you so much for introducing me to this, Cry. I loved it.

This was a fantastic series! I'm so glad you enjoyed it too, thanks for playing!

that was a great concept for the game. you start off helping creators then you are the creator and you make your own. that's genius
What a great game, also i love that we saw bumpkin at the end
this is a underrated game right? I love it! Cry always plays the games that the other popular gaming youtubers don't play. This is why I love his channel.
