it actually was not bait, it's meant to be used to sync up the machine's rotation with the rhythm of the blasts, so the cover is swinging by the ladder on beat one then by the far platform on beat two. Cry did it on accident.
I think there's plenty of implications that this kid might not be normal. Maybe he really is infected with a parasite, but it's like, some kind of mutated one, or it had a weird reaction with his particular genetics. All the infected individuals we've seen up to this point have been fairly hearty and strong, if not intelligent. And then there's the part where the mermaid thing... somehow made him able to breath underwater? I'm a little confused as to why that particular one didn't just kill him like the others, but maybe we'll get some answers on that.
Sonic bomb tests -- Is THAT what that room was all about? I was wondering what on earth could make a shockwave that powerful at a constant rate like that without eventually breaking down. For that matter, what IS that facility the kid's going through? Most of it's underwater, but the area the player goes through above ground doesn't suggest that there's what almost seemed like an underground ocean under it. Most of its' falling apart, and full of water.
13:56 "Get out of Dodge" is a reference to Dodge City, Kansas. It was the setting for Gunsmoke, and John Wayne would often tell the bad guys to do that.

Your lets plays are the best cry. Your videos are just amazing and your content is great. This channel definitely is my favorite. Thank you for uploading videos cry, you are my favorite RUclipsr for sure. =) thanks again even though you've heard this millions of times.
I like how the architecture and design in video games don't really make sense, alot of convenient platforms and doors eh lol, looks cool and is interesting though. Clearly there is something else going on metaphorically or w/e, story and world not as simple as it seems? The beginning of the game was more "realistic" but now, at least to me, the buildings are gigantic, sometimes it almost looks like the kid is a borrower lol, like I doubt humans made all this especially since they are all submerged. Very cool game so far, Love the theme and spookiness and the art style.
I'm beginning to think the player's perception of the world is not what it seems. That facility almost comes out of nowhere, and is in the middle of what seems to be some kind of farming town, but is somehow miles longer and deep, with huge, gaping pits of water, almost like an underground sea. What IS that place? What was it for before things went to hell? I'm hoping the ending sheds maybe a tiny bit of light on that.
At 23:30, I also fell down. I notice now what they did was actually really clever. It was simple, but clever. How they focused the attention on the ceiling, not noticing the hole on the floor.
Yes he is, but pewds was actually really fast with understanding the puzzles ( in this game tho) he was somethimes even faster in understanding than cry.. But that's my opinion 😊 xp
From what I've noticed Cry usually easily figures out puzzles that take other people a long time to figure out then takes awhile on puzzles that others might've gotten rather quickly
I actually have heard some quite interesting theorys about that, but if you haven't seen the ending on another channel, maybe come back to me when cry finishes the series so we can talk about them :) I love to talk about the background of games like this
+BC1 Of course that could be a reason, but this is a game that doesn't have much dimension and 2D Games almost always have one Goal- get to the end in one direction and u need to proceed to get to the end so why would you go back?If you think about it thats actually the case with all games
Also being able to breathe underwater. Very nais. Also I don't know what else is going to happen (don't spoil pls) but this game looks like what our future could be.
I think maybe it's a merpire? like, a blood sucking underwater vampire. a cool concept. That being said, I have no basis for that assumption other than that it hasn't any fins and appears to be sucking the protag's blood in that one part
16:00 is this just a mess of dark pixels to anyone else? 'cause i can't make out anything that's happening on screen because it all consists of like 50 pixels on 1080p
cry tried his best to fix it in editing, but it didnt work out. i think thats the darkest part of the game, and i think the point of it is to only see it clearly when the light flashes. it shouldnt be a problem again tho
I think the problem is caused by the editing software actually. Cry was messing with it for hours on one of his editing streams but coudn't fix it. Although RUclips might be causing some of it aswell ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I swear I've seen SO MANY of his series and each of them are my favourites from Dishonored, Bloodlines, The Witch's House, this, Limbo, even the little indie games... his commentary is just so nice.
Pavit the lack of interest? If that;s what you mean then I;ve been meaning to watch it but my other most favourite youtuber also did a playthrough of it so II'm having a hard time deciding which to watch. Plus it's super long
i am SO intruiged by this, at first i got bored quickly coz it's kind platform-y, but the merperson and the shockwaves are so intruiging i just wanna know everything, i'm real excited for monday's ep! :D
everytime I watch cry, it feels different. I mean, I watched pewds and jack played inside, but somehow when I watch cry it's more relaxing. well, cry talks so random but nvm his voice's hot. (and his voice really matched the game's atmosphere) I luv u cry, you came when I'm bored in midnight. what a timing
I'm so glad you're better now.I mean. Not sick anymore and stuff. Hearing your voice so weak in that short update video really made me worried. Stay awesome < 3
I LEGIT JUST FINISHED PART 3 WHEN I WENT TO YOUR CHANNEL TO STALL MYSELF FOR PART 4 AND SEE THIS BEAUTIFUL MASTERPIECE. KUDOS TO YOUR LOVELY KIND SOUL.
If you played Cookie Clicker you've probably clicked faster. And really it's not the about the click speed, I bet your click speed when you clicked this video was about the same as usual, however you drag speed, when you drag your mouse to to video, probably was fast. @Daniel First time for everything huh? Tell that to the kids who never got to kiss their mamas, abandoned and growing up on the streets, or orphaned to parents that aren't their blood related ones. Or even a single father who's wife died giving birth to the son/daughter. There'll never be a first for that, for them.
Man, this game is just super awesome. The gameplay, puzzles, visuals, setting, and story are pretty good. It's super unique and creative! I can't wait for your reaction when you get towards the end.
Really glad to have you back making the videos and feeling better man. I've watched Pewds, and Jack's lp, but when I saw you started one I got the "oh mans!" Looking forward to the next vid.
I loved when you noticed the water on the ceiling. I was sitting here like, "Are we just gonna ignore the water ceiling? Oh okay cry." And then he was like "Wait. " I was smiling so big.
the outro song just made my day :) shoutout to cry for hosting the charity livestream, for his top quality content, and for the amazing outro. also shoutout to the person who made the song. Nicely done people! :)
Cry you missed two yellow.. things in this one. I'm playing this game now and I don't know how to get to the one on 12:58 but if you keep swimming down around 19:00 you'll get to another.
@Hope He is done, if you noticed he replied to comments in part 2 of this play-through soon after it was uploaded, meaning he's beaten the game already. You see with how it goes he finishes the game and has all his recording done and all that's left is to edit it together and upload one-a-day. That's how it usually goes.
Even so, It's kinda too late. He's not gonna just replay the whole game because he missed like one secret. Unless he is, then well. But that kinda would be a short video. So....eh.
omg i loved the beggining. Also i like watching your videos like when im not in a good mood i just go ahead and watch one of your videos. it makes me happy. so keep going with the videos.

The part with the lever took me a while too lol. It's such a great game though. I really love the soundtrack too. This was a huge step from LIMBO and I hope Playdead can continue this awesomeness.
Funny thing, I was thinking of that priest from "Pirates from the Caribbean 4" and saying myself "Did he finally survive at the end of the movie?", and now I'm seeing this. Apparently he did. Also 15:37 awwww his (maybe) first kiss
remember how that one long haired creature he found in the room was plugged into something? I think the one that caught him intentionally plugged the thing into him to make the kid able to breathe like them. maybe not entirely bad

Yup. I agree with ya there Cry. That mermaid/merman/merkid is terrifying. Also, when Cry went into the water in the ceiling room, Cry's like "Oh cool." And I'm like (having gone through this in my playthrough), "Uhhhhhh, Cry? You...don't notice the..." Yikes you're a lot braver than me cuz I went like wtf at that part.
The lever was bait, the lever wasn't bait, the lever was bait! Make up your mind.
😂😂
it actually was not bait, it's meant to be used to sync up the machine's rotation with the rhythm of the blasts, so the cover is swinging by the ladder on beat one then by the far platform on beat two. Cry did it on accident.
This kid is one tough cookie

never thought of that...thanks bud!
+Draeckon she was bigger, maybe it was elder mermaid powers
+Karkat Vantas that would make some sense
+Karkat Vantas you might be correct because when there was a yellow light she liked grabbed it then put it on you
Okay, so far we've got zombie mind-control, sonic bomb tests, creepy merpeople, and gravity-defying water...
The hell is going on here?!
Sonic bomb tests -- Is THAT what that room was all about? I was wondering what on earth could make a shockwave that powerful at a constant rate like that without eventually breaking down.

It gets worse :)
+lilashj14 If you mean what I think you do; yes, yes it does.
+lilashj14 I'm very scared.
waaaaaaaaaaay worse xD
I love your god damn voice
YESS IKR it's smooth like silky butter almost like he's a narrator for the game itself
Hell yes, same !!
Who doesn't?
We are all potential girlfriends.
+Rama1675 yes, yes we are
13:56 "Get out of Dodge" is a reference to Dodge City, Kansas. It was the setting for Gunsmoke, and John Wayne would often tell the bad guys to do that.
I thought it had something to do with pride and prejudice
LAWRENCE, KANSAS IS DA BEST. SUPERNATURAL FOR THE WIN
+kymopoleia13 um, no. lol
*screaming*

You know, I have been curious about where that phrase cme from for years now, and always forget to look it up. Thank you for my factoid today :)
Regarding the water thing. The better question is "How is that NOT going down?".
I thought that the ceiling was just glass, and it was like a huge terrifying fish tanker above.
Exactly. And then you notice the dripping water and the bodies half out of the water and you realize, "wtf is dis???" I reeeaaally hope Cry somehow gets an explanation as he plays more.
It's a magnetic field.
Maybe there's glass there? But towards the end I saw water drip down
OurLove4Dance If that was the case, you'd be walking in the roof.
Your lets plays are the best cry. Your videos are just amazing and your content is great. This channel definitely is my favorite. Thank you for uploading videos cry, you are my favorite RUclipsr for sure. =) thanks again even though you've heard this millions of times.
Hallelujah to him though, he is a great guy.
I love it when Cry like talks to the kid in a way like he's trying to comfort him in times of danger. ❤️
"Oh right,....... drownings a thing." I laughed so hard at that😂💯👌🏼
Cry has come so far. He can actually solve puzzles rather quick now.
Man, RUclips Compression did a number on that Mermaid-Thing scene.
I thought I was the only one who saw it
Cry also uses Handbrake to compress his videos but I don't think that he should be doing that in this series. All underwater scenes were blurry ;-;
The hair creature takes him down the Atari tunnel, which makes people breath water.
Wait can you explain what you mean? I haven't played this game myself and just watch Cry so I would like to know what difference there is
when the mermaid-thing drags the little boy down and it starts getting dark the video gets all blurry and low resolution-y
Shout out for Cry taking part in the Charity Stream today :3
but he was VERY TIRED XD
WOO! Haha :D
ECR WarTex He was, I really should of taken a nap but he stayed determined and pulled through XD
+lydia nelson He was tired because He did his Stream before The charity stream which was 4:30 hours long And he only got to rest 30 mins
Fiery Zohaib I know, the chat all told him to rest whilst the video renders instead of continuing the stream

+Draeckon Yeah, don't hold your breath. The ending is absolute shit.
"Didn't explain things on a platter for me and I'm used to my media doing that for me, so it's shit"
Shut up you f in Jew
Sorry I had too
I was freaking out every time the mermaid was about to catch him
wish you could have seen what would happen if the mermaid caught him in the submarine
honestly I got a rush if anxiety when the merperson was chasing Cry or when the shockwaves were first introduced,, help
That's so stressful indeed
If the creature gets you while in the submarine, it actually breaks the glass and pulls you out.
+Henrik Strom kinda glad I didn't see that
At 23:30, I also fell down. I notice now what they did was actually really clever. It was simple, but clever. How they focused the attention on the ceiling, not noticing the hole on the floor.
I gotta say that you are alot better at solving puzzles than Pewds XD
Yes he is, but pewds was actually really fast with understanding the puzzles ( in this game tho) he was somethimes even faster in understanding than cry.. But that's my opinion 😊 xp
From what I've noticed Cry usually easily figures out puzzles that take other people a long time to figure out then takes awhile on puzzles that others might've gotten rather quickly
+Sock73 yeah the only person that solves puzzles faster than him is manlybadasshero
+Sock73 I've noticed that too lol
agreed
"Don't worry it's dead"
*moves*
"It's not dead"
i find it interesting how the kid can only really go towards one direction. maybe its a foreshadowing of something?
I actually have heard some quite interesting theorys about that, but if you haven't seen the ending on another channel, maybe come back to me when cry finishes the series so we can talk about them :) I love to talk about the background of games like this
+Friederike Günther
That sounds interesting actually. I just thought that maybe the gamemakers wanted to make the game less complicated
+BC1 Of course that could be a reason, but this is a game that doesn't have much dimension and 2D Games almost always have one Goal- get to the end in one direction and u need to proceed to get to the end so why would you go back?If you think about it thats actually the case with all games
It's directly related to the ending.
+Friederike Günther Ah same here haha; that'd be great :)
Damn, I'd like to have those shock waves as a super power, that'd be sweet.
Also being able to breathe underwater. Very nais. Also I don't know what else is going to happen (don't spoil pls) but this game looks like what our future could be.
Ya so u can kill everyone around u.
+Ola Bajulaiye Exactly.
Next time someone says 'blow me'. Just BOOM. Blow 'em to bits.
gingergamergirl98 If it's what they want right? xD
Seriously, what *is* that creepy little merperson? What is it? One of you has to know.
I think maybe it's a merpire? like, a blood sucking underwater vampire. a cool concept. That being said, I have no basis for that assumption other than that it hasn't any fins and appears to be sucking the protag's blood in that one part
+Psycho Lama why did it help him though
I dont know. Maybe it wasnt trying to? Maybe it just meant to kill him, and his being able to breath water was a side effect?
so he turned him into something like himself. That sounds like something a vampire would do.
+Yargolocus yeah, i think so. or maybe hes only at a half way point, since the 'merpires' seem not to exit the water
16:00 is this just a mess of dark pixels to anyone else? 'cause i can't make out anything that's happening on screen because it all consists of like 50 pixels on 1080p
It's just RUclips compressing it to death >.>
Yeah, the RUclips compression does a number on this game. I think the only resolutions where that wouldn't happen are, like, 1440 and 4K.
cry tried his best to fix it in editing, but it didnt work out. i think thats the darkest part of the game, and i think the point of it is to only see it clearly when the light flashes. it shouldnt be a problem again tho
I think the problem is caused by the editing software actually. Cry was messing with it for hours on one of his editing streams but coudn't fix it. Although RUclips might be causing some of it aswell ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
you can see just fine if its on 480p
This is one of the best series, Cry made so far :D
Agreed! I I've puzzling games like this
I loved his playthrough of Ori and the Blind Forest
I swear I've seen SO MANY of his series and each of them are my favourites from Dishonored, Bloodlines, The Witch's House, this, Limbo, even the little indie games... his commentary is just so nice.
i find the lack of his okami series disturbing
Pavit the lack of interest? If that;s what you mean then I;ve been meaning to watch it but my other most favourite youtuber also did a playthrough of it so II'm having a hard time deciding which to watch. Plus it's super long
Cry is the best. I love his videos so much. Thank you Cry for making me always smile and laugh.
I would definitely say Cry is a "bright fella" by every sense of the word.
i am SO intruiged by this, at first i got bored quickly coz it's kind platform-y, but the merperson and the shockwaves are so intruiging i just wanna know everything, i'm real excited for monday's ep! :D
"Excusez-moi" at 8:40-ish
That is a great pronunciation !
everytime I watch cry, it feels different. I mean, I watched pewds and jack played inside, but somehow when I watch cry it's more relaxing. well, cry talks so random but nvm his voice's hot. (and his voice really matched the game's atmosphere)
I luv u cry, you came when I'm bored in midnight. what a timing
is it bad that I was so excited for the next episode that I gasped when this popped up in my sub box
No, child. It is pratically normal. It shows how loyal you are to the man you look foward to.
almost sounds like you're trying to marry the two.
canidaeSynapse Haha. Lol
Just a joke, mate. All in good fun.
+canidaeSynapse I mean I'm not exactly opposed but I don't think Cry feels the same way unfortunately lol
Carolyn Nicole Same. Plus, isn't he still dating Chey?
Really loving this series, keep it up Cry! Also, have fun at the charity stream :)
compliments to who ever made this episode's thumbnail it's rly cool :)
the Underwater creature thing gave me so much anxiety about it getting closer.
+LunaEclipse45 The developers did a good job, didn't they? ;)
LunaEclipse45 same.
Oh my god, I love this gameplay so so so much. The game itself is so breathtaking and cry's commentary is a huge bonus. I can't wait for the finale!
This series is so good. I love this game. I love watching Cry react to it. Seriously he is perfect for this game.
Incredible video series, Cry. Love watching you play Inside.
Love how you called out for mum, Cry. Pretty much my reaction at the time, as well.
Your videos are like candy, mate; keep 'em coming.
I'm so glad that Cry is playing this game, I loved Limbo when it first came out and I can't buy this game right now but I really enjoy watching it
I love your moment of realization when you saw the upside-down water and were annoyed that you didn't notice that sooner.
I never clicked so fast in mah life
There is a first time for everything.
If you played Cookie Clicker you've probably clicked faster.
And really it's not the about the click speed, I bet your click speed when you clicked this video was about the same as usual, however you drag speed, when you drag your mouse to to video, probably was fast.
@Daniel

Or even a single father who's wife died giving birth to the son/daughter. There'll never be a first for that, for them.
Kurai ChanZ When was the last time you smiled?
I don't know, looks like there hasn't been a first time for that yet.
SANIK
Man, this game is just super awesome. The gameplay, puzzles, visuals, setting, and story are pretty good. It's super unique and creative! I can't wait for your reaction when you get towards the end.
As I was just saying to myself "I need to hear Cry again" than -boop- notification yayyyy
btw I love this Gameplay
You know you're into a lets play when you see the notification for a new episode and squeal like a small child.
I just love watching your videos, Cry! Just 25 minutes of this is not enough. Keep up the hard work!
I'm loving this series so far. You're awesome Cry.
Really glad to have you back making the videos and feeling better man.
I've watched Pewds, and Jack's lp, but when I saw you started one I got the "oh mans!"
Looking forward to the next vid.
I honestly thought that something was going to blow up when the music started. I'm like "Why are you just standing there?! Run, Cry! Run!"
i love how crys voice is so soothing
I read the description and I truly appreciate that joke. Kudos to you cry. All of the kudos.
This is such an excellent Playthrough!
Thanks cry I loved this game it's fun to watch you go through it... Can't wait to see your reaction to the end.
I just now finished up the last episode only to see this. Impeccable timing.
I missed you a lot cry. good to have you back
Love this series! love that he seems to be doing good now 😍 All the love Cry!
Cry you missed two yellow.. things in this one. I'm playing this game now and I don't know how to get to the one on 12:58 but if you keep swimming down around 19:00 you'll get to another.
You have to get them all for anything to happen, and he missed one of the first few anyway.
gingergamergirl98 Yeah, I know. I played the game today and I think I'll replay it just for the other ending.
He's not gonna read comments til he's done, remember?
@Hope
He is done, if you noticed he replied to comments in part 2 of this play-through soon after it was uploaded, meaning he's beaten the game already.
So....eh.
waiting patiently for this, your videos make my day! hope you are feeling better!
Lovin this series from you, Cry. You make it so relaxing and enjoyable to watch :3
8:01 "we're in wat-oh nooo" my reaction too, Cry XD
omg i loved the beggining. Also i like watching your videos like when im not in a good mood i just go ahead and watch one of your videos. it makes me happy. so keep going with the videos.
With the water on the ceiling, making the environment kind of look upsidedown, it reminds me of Stone Tower Temple in Majora's Mask.
Im really loving this play through, the art and the puzzles👌🏽
Your song selections are so amazing! :)
I love quiet games like this where Cry just rambles random cute stuff.
"Get the hell out of Dodge" is a reference to Dodge City, Kansas, which was a favorite location for westerns in the early to mid 20th century. Most memorably, the phrase was made famous by the TV show "Gunsmoke," in which villians were often commanded to "get the hell out of Dodge." The phrase took on its current meaning in the 1960s and 70s when teenagers began to use it in its current form.
The part with the lever took me a while too lol. It's such a great game though. I really love the soundtrack too. This was a huge step from LIMBO and I hope Playdead can continue this awesomeness.
i know its late but, its awesome to have you back cry
Cry should have way more likes tbh dude is funny and has that soothing voice lmao
It's perfect to watch you play Inside every morning
The underwater *succ* action was so good it gave the kid the ability to breathe underwater.
I love it when I finish watching a part and go back to subscriptions and there's the next part :D
Those shockwaves turned into some sick bass drops.
finally i've been refreshing every 5 minutes for an hour
i love those silent momments in cry videos! its like he`s so imerse on the game that he forgets to talk!
Funny thing, I was thinking of that priest from "Pirates from the Caribbean 4" and saying myself "Did he finally survive at the end of the movie?", and now I'm seeing this. Apparently he did. Also 15:37 awwww his (maybe) first kiss
It’s been 3 years since this playthrough?! Gosh, time really does fly by.
This kid should compete in Ninja Warrior or something. Like, damn, dude must be ripped, what with all the swimming and climbing and running and all.
YES! I was hoping you would post the next part today. Thanks Cry!
I'm really excited watching your play through of this. It's a super interesting game and it has two endings so I hope you'll do both.
8:36 "Excuse moi, señorita."
more like "sirenita"
haha I'm great
PimpDaddy Deadpool lol. I got that one.
The game is adorably gripping, atmospheric, and thought provoking
I love this play through and cry is amazing at it
"There's water on the ceiling. How is...How's that going down?"
its not its going UP ;)
remember how that one long haired creature he found in the room was plugged into something? I think the one that caught him intentionally plugged the thing into him to make the kid able to breathe like them. maybe not entirely bad
Your voice is so calm!!! I love it!!!!
"There is water on the ceiling.. How is that going down?"
It isn't Cry, that's the point >u>
I would pay cry to literally just talk nonsense around me, I would give him a salary just to talk............
😂 Me too!
Honestly, you have the best taste in music.
Update soon Please!!! I love this game! I love hearing your reactions too :D
oH YO WHAT HELLO, UM EXCUSE ME???????? ...MOM??!??
I love cry omg
Cry, your videos sooth my soul
I loved what you did for the outro
that was an awesome edit at the end dude!

Most memorably, the phrase was made famous by the TV show "Gunsmoke," in which villians were often commanded to "get the hell out of Dodge." The phrase took on its current meaning in the 1960s and 70s when teenagers began to use it in its current form.
