Hi Sarah! I was so blown away by the advent blessing you shared. And even more so that you shared the Truth of Jesus Christ with all your viewers! Amen amen! Especially in this day when I see floss tubers say they're going to replace the scripture verse on a sampler. Or apologize for shopping at a certain Hobby store in the US. I am praying on the hallow app this advent, and I always pray their reflection on the daily Gospel reading. I'm Catholic and we have a calendar and 3 year cycle of readings, uncertain if others do. I wasn’t sure what readings I would do this year, but so far I have enjoyed listening to three chapters a day from Luke’s gospel while stitching. I think I might just keep going with that to have the whole gospel three times before Christmas.
Thank you for sharing your advent blessing. I love the advent season and enjoying a daily reading. This year I’m rereading an advent book by Calvin Miller entitled “The Christ of Christmas.” I’ve never seen an advent candle like yours with the numbers on it. It is really neat. When my son was younger we would light the candles in our advent wreath each night. Each year we read a book entitled Jotham’s Journey. Sweet memories. Wow the first few days of the adventure box are wonderful. That fabric is just perfect in that pretty green shade. The gingerbread house is so cute. The first thing in our caterpillar adventure was a daffodil needle minder. Nancy loves daffodils, so she was quite excited. Have a wonderful birthday trip.

I haven't had an Advent calendar since I was a child, either. My husband bought me the Caterpillar Cross Stitch calendar. It's been fun as well. It was a very nice gesture from Historical Sampler Co. to gift you theirs! Enjoy!

Love the “tidbits” idea and the Advent reading was lovely. There is a beautiful book called To Bless the Space Between Us, which you might enjoy, if you don’t have it already. It’s by John O’Donohue. It’s organized by challenge/occasion/season of life and they are each like poems.
