The way I folded the material at the start resulted in 4 layers. This meant I only needed to draw the front block once on one side with my chalk. When I cut the layers at 2:33 I cut both the left and right sides for the front and back. This is because I used the front block as the front and back for this project. If you want to mark the left and right side of the front or back separately you will need less layers. You can trace one side, e.g. the left, then flip your pattern along its fold to draw the right side. If you are referring to marking on where you will actually sew when at the machine, you don’t have to mark this on. You can just remember to sew 1cm into the material. I focused on marking where I would cut. Have a lovely day.
