- In this video, I buy an old Wheel horse, build it up, and in the next video I take it on its first outing with my brother Alex and his girlfriend Petra. The mower itself is a C-120, the exact year I do not know.

Man, that is a great build, I wish kids around my area would do things like this instead of getting daddy to co-sign for a $16000.00 ATV like a neighbor's kid did with his first part-time job at a coffee shop.
They would learn so friggin much more and also learn what an accomplishment it is to build something instead of just paying the man, and paying and paying for parts.

Then it could be called the TATctor, once out of Virginia, it probable could be done, but gas might be an issue, although it wouldn't get stuck.
The next time you need a carburetor you can get a Chinese copy of a Mikuni for like 20 something… A good ol 24mm would’ve treated you right on that thing. Great video buddy!
I've been thinking about a mikuni swap, I would need to make a custom intake adapter. It would be awesome and I am glad you enjoyed the video!

@@jimmywilson1388 Heck yea dude! Welcome aboard, they are pretty capable for being a lawn mower. In my latest video I took mine into a swamp. I had bad belt slippage, but it still did really well!
I did that with a tire and it exploded it was so loud almost blew my eardrums the sidewall had a weak spot gust be careful and wear some eye & ear protection...
I appreciate the heads up, I had never done it before and was so amazed that it worked.

I was beyond surprised with the wheel horses capabilities. It isn't too heavy, plenty of traction, just needs some more tweeks and it will be even better, not anywhere close to keizer! I really enjoy your videos and they are actually what made me want to make a mud mower!

Will a 196cc engine be enough power for one
It all depends on gearing really. I had a wheel horse in the past with a 5 HP and the stock pulleys and it would still do wheelies. It wasn't fast but it still pull everything it needed to.
How do you pulling swipe what size pulley on the front and what size on the back

@@chud327 that was my brothers truck, he sold it, bought a 72 GMC, then traded that GMC for one of the least rusted out k20s that I have ever seen.

Yes, you just need to pull the hubs off
New to mud mowers, can I convert a wheel horse 211-4 into a mud mower?
You can if you’re up for it! The 211-4 should have a 4 speed. The rims and tires are smaller than my setup and I believe there isn’t a high and low range option for the transmission.
Do those front tires grip real nice in the mud?
They do ok. With the rear axle locked it just likes to go straight. I can control it when it gets sideways, but the front wheels will be pushed by the axle.

The mower deck is gone I sold it, but it came off really easily. Pretty sure I just pulled a pin and a latch and it was off

Add a set of tire chain that have cleets i has 25 inch quad tires on my 74 wheel horse and i put the chains and cleets on and man holy fuck never ending traction😎
my problem now is I am having belt issues. I did a pulley swap, but I need to make the pulley bite better.
@@LilBJessup i put a 5/8 belt on my wheel the 1/2 inch belt kept slipping and shredding the 5/8 fills the whole groove on my pullies and wears in nice and tight i havnt replaced it for about 2 years now i use it to pull shit around my property mostly including moving samurais and trackers it is really a horse also i made a custom foot throttle with hym joint and linkage rods for semi truck clutch lol its tits old throttle was shot so i said fuck it the petal assembly mounts to the rod on right foot side i even put grooves for grease to get fully around shaft its mint it took a lot of thought but its mint the linkage goes clear to the throttle plate no more old frozen cables🙃

@@LilBJessup ya we have had alot of samurais, sidekicks and trackers over the years they are so good off road and blazing new trail i just point and shoot no one wants to follow even the jeeps are scared to follow lol🤣
How fast is she?
In this video the pulley's had a 1:1 ratio. It wasn't too fast. Now it has a 6inch front pulley and a 3 inch rear and it is sketchy fast. It will flip in 3rd gear.
