At $142 retail, they cost just a bit more than a mass market trainer from Nike or Adidas, but with a nice, minimalist look and premium leather uppers. And a fraction of the cost of a premium brand like Common Projects, so it should be a no brainer. I don't wear Thursdays myself because they don't make enough wide widths for my feet, and I already have a lot of Allen Edmonds shoes and boots. But I did buy my wife 2 pairs of Chelsea boots, and she liked them so much I bought a third pair on the used market.
I bought the white one last year and it's my favorite shoe. I have lots of jordans, nike, adidas and new balance but nothing beats my thursday premier low top. I just purchased another one last week the toffee one I hope it doesn't disappoint me. Still waiting til it gets delivered, might take 3-4weeks since I'm from SEA region. I also plan to get the black one next month
idk how I feel about those cause the wolverine sneakers with horween leather are only like $50 online and they have a bunch of options. But they are extremely uncomfortable when you get them, more so than any shoe Ive ever owned but they eventually break in and then they are very comfortable
I just got 2 pairs of the Thursday high tops. I’m wearing the Old English today (the other cacao which I haven’t worn yet). Look very nice, but let me tell you…these things are absolute torture on my feet. Feels like thin sheet metal wrapped around my feet, not pliable leather. Based on these I don’t see how anyone in their right mind could think these are comfortable sneakers. I haven’t worn shoes this uncomfortable in eons. I did order my usual size for sneakers but had to return for half size up which are a better normal fit, but they are sheer bloody hell. My feet are throbbing and feel on fire. Compare this to Thursday Major boots which were so comfortable and no break in at all.
They are built somewhat like boots (no surprise from a boot company), so naturally, they take time to break in like boots. And that process can indeed be very uncomfortable and even painful. The whole idea is that the leather eventually molds around your feet to make a very comfortable fit. All of my leather boots took some time to become comfortable. You never get boots that are comfortable from the beginning, because that means once they break in, they're less fitting. They HAVE to be uncomfortable during the break in process. Honestly, it's part of the process of wearing high quality leather footwear. There's some exceptions that don't have big break in periods, like Thorogoods (and even those still did take some time, it was just easier and less painful), but generally speaking, that's how it is. However, there's also the possibility that you just picked the wrong sizing.
Love the cash or trash! Do some red wing blacksmiths or iron Rangers and talk about their really bad lack of quality control! It took me four pair of Ironnrangers to get one pair that was decent and two pair of blacksmiths to get one pair!
I went from Thursday to redwing iron ranger to grant stone and what an amazing choice and relief 😮💨 I’ll stick to grant stone from here on out suck an amazing boot and build at an damn fantastic price for the amazing quality!!!
The same here. Grant Stone and Redwing are a real bugger to break in. I had to go back to doing a light grease on the inside and then got them soaking wet and wearing them all day. Then do an outter greasing or two the next couple of days. Wearing them wet to dry can make for a long day but it works for me.
I have all three and I find the Grant stone to be built the best, but the least comfortable. They are very heavy. These sneakers are not trying to compete with Grant stone as GS does not even offer a product like this.
I went thursday boots to redwing blacksmiths to grant stone, I wear thursdays the most, blacksmiths need an insole, got the thinnest one and now they are too tight to wear for long periods, should have gone with a wider width. Grant stones are beautiful but also very uncomfortable and worn them enough to be broken in but still not comfortable. I do public speaking and I'm on my feet for 7 straight hrs on hard floors so that may be a limitation.
The irony… people being pretentious about boots… but it’s Thursday Boots. 😂 damned hysterical. “Why’d you post those sneakers in this club for crappy boots??!”

I have a couple of their sneakers and for the price they're decent enough. I was thinking of getting my niece the high tops in white
🔥🔥🔥
Mine arrived today and they fit great 😎
Just ordered my first pair last night in the Cacao color, can't wait to get these bad boys.
Enjoying your content and opinions, thank you.
Just bought a pair black waiting for them thank you for the killer info
So are these a boot/sneaker hybrid or just sneakers I can’t rlly tell
sneaker made by a boot company. good “boot stuff” like leather, bad “sneaker stuff” like hype, foams
They're high top sneakers made by a boot company.
What length and width are the shoe laces you have on those? I went to order some but don't know if I need 63", 70" etc
They come with 63 inch laces if anyone else is wondering
I’d like to see what you’re doing to these.
any Beckett simonon reviews???

There are people out there that would call those boots. 😔
Not my style for sure. I really don't like the look of the boot. To me they look like what Herman Munster would wear for sneakers.
It's a sneaker though.
